Just WOOOW!! What a discovery!!
I could hear the soothing birds singing throughout your video and in one cut, I could hear the crickets chirping in the night. How a wonderful experience it would be to stay in such a heritage property amidst nature. The walking trail to whoever's house in the middle of the forest and the way you described your walk, is UNREAL. 😍

You are right, the Birds, Squirrels & Crickets at night are a complete delight waking up to & drifting off to sleep with. The walking trail is lovely too & part of the forest. Seems there are wild rabbit there & deer too. The mongoose & wild fowl that I captured are regular visitors to the property. Being a nature lover & a complete heritage lover this place always draws me back. We are CM members & have 2 beautiful properties to stay at for free, but yet we always choose this place. The vibe here is very different that you won't experience in any other place.
I totally understand. All hotels look the same. It is impossible to experience such a place unless we break the standard way of travelling. I'm really liking your way of travelling and seeing the world. Once I visited La Villa Bethany in Landour near Mussorie with another youtuber and can't explain the serenity and calmness of the place. I was part of that video too. 😅

My a regular comer and still excited. I don't blame you, the guys are great. They had reared a wild boar, a panther cub nursed by a she goat and milching cows, a bit of poultry and what not. And modest down to earth? Thanks lady for showing this
How lovely. Didn't know about the panther cub, will find out. They still feed the numerous birds & now have a whole pack of mongoose that visit daily. I've been seeing them here since 2019 & captured the mongoose in this video towards the end.

You must introduce your wife to Parsi cuisine, and this place is highly recommended for it. Good home-cooked food by the host themselves. 15 years plus & I still can't get enough of it here.

This is Keravala estates. Didn't know if this place was in the movie. There are a few Parsi places in Mahableshwar which have a bit similar architecture.

The owners khambattas have maintained it very well..you should check out their bio gas plant and honey that comes from forest..
Yes, they have maintained the place well. The Bio gas plant is shutdown now as it wasn't feasible. The honey I have tried it once but haven't bought any. This time I bought their homemade Strawberry jam which they served for breakfast. It's delicious.

Wonderful, that's a very long time ago. I first visited in 2010. The old wing rooms have been renovated beautifully this year.
Lovely video. One suggestion though. Next time you visit Mahabaleshwar try Dina Hotel. I guess its the oldest hotel in Mahabaleshwar and also run by a Parsi family. This hotel which you reviewed also reminds me of Dina. My wife and I visit Mahabaleshwar once a year and like you, we did not get a chance through the pandemic years. But ever since one of my friends recommended Dina, we just couldn't stay anywhere else and trust me its mostly due to food. Many a times we have just gone, stayed at the hotel eate the food and turned back without going anywhere in Mahabaleshwar or panchgani. Do continue sharing your experiences with all of us. I've given the food review at the start & wanted to do it on each day but it's difficult with family around & constant chatter 😁 besides they got impatient to eat the moment it arrived.
I'll give a breakup of meals. As for the taste, without a doubt it's absolutely delicious & plenty.
Breakfast: Eggs to order, 2 side dishes (1 veg 1 nonveg) like poha, suji halwa, Sausages ect with bread, toast, butter & jam. Tea & coffee
Lunch: 1 NV starter, mutton or chicken curry, dry NV, veg or dal, served with rice, bread & salad, fruit.
Dinner: Same like lunch additionally has soup, chapati & dessert.

If I commit to a rate & the person ask for higher category, peak season ect then it would not match the low season or weekday rate I paid. What is the best time of year to visit the panchgani
Panchgani is wonderful year round (I've visited in all months & seasons) Depends what climate you want to enjoy. Winter's are cold & foggy, summer is warm at noon but pleasant during morning & evenings and monsoon are green, wet & foggy. Post monsoon is another lovely time to catch wild flowers blooming & picture perfect blue skies (sep-oct). You can enjoy strawberries from Dec thru to early June & Mulberry in April/May. Hope this helps 😊

This has always been Mount View & is just before the main market at Panchgani. The one you mentioned is a bit further down the road after the market.

nice Property But Very Costly Rate
Property is lovely & yes maybe it can be a bit expensive depending on the room & all meals plan. I had tried a few other hotels earlier but their only room charges were quiet high & with meals additional it goes even higher. With cost of everything escalated these days, travel itself has become so expensive.

I did miss out the check-in, checkout time. Apologies. It's 12:30 pm & 10:30 am respectively. Tariff is dynamic, also different for weekdays, weekends, season, BB or all meals ect. Hence I've given all the contact details of the hotel. About the food I had mentioned in the introduction. Quality & quality hasn't changed in the 13 years that I've been going here. It's still the best.

Appreciate your feedback. Everyone has their own perception. With food cost so high these days even a meal out cost so much compared to what it did few years ago. Inflation at its highest. I still find this reasonable compared to so many other places.
