- Dahanu, a peaceful seaside town with a sprawling, uncluttered beach lies 120 kms from Mumbai city. The Dahanu-Bordi stretch is about 17 km and is lined with fruit orchards. Dahanu is favored for it's chickoo fruit that Irani settlers were the first to cultivate here. To this day many Parsi families have orchards here and have lived in this quaint town for many generations.
I visited one such Chickoo farm owned by a lovely Parsi family. They have constructed beautiful cottages in the middle of the plantation for city dwellers to enjoy a farm experience, a staycation on short weekend gateways.

I returned to Dahanu exactly a month later for the Dahanu festival & stayed at this very farm again. Imagine my surprise when I met a gentleman who recognized me saying "mam I saw your video on this place & that's how we are here". He then went on tell me that whatever I mentioned in my video was exactly what they found here & it was a genuine video. The family had come for a short stay but loved it so much that they extended their stay by few more days.
I couldn't have been happier knowing that someone loved my content & the honest experience I shared.
Ps: It was the first time someone recognized me as a CZcamsr. Lovely feeling being appreciated for what I do. Makes it worth it for all the hard work I put in sharing this content ❤

I did return for the Dahanu festival a month later. Those videos too are up on my channel. It was a fab festival. I have been to the fort but was a family trip in 2019 hence didn't vlog. Will surely return to explore the famous sites. Thank you for watching.

It is a beautiful farm. I was back there in Dec 2023. They have 4 rooms which can accommodate 4 pax. And another 5 rooms for 3 pax.

I didn't mention the tariff as people would expect the same during peak season & weekends. These are small family owned properties, unlike commercial hotels. Hence, rates are volatile. You can reach the owners directly, they are very helpful.
What food (@12.00 ) you put in between the biscuits ( white colour ) ?
That's at 16 mins I guess cause at @12 is the trail walk.
It was the last day breakfast and there was no biscuit (looks like that thou) so here's what was on the menu.
* Egg omelet & egg bhurji (eggs are on made to order)
* Suji halwa (white colour)
* French toast (which looks like biscuits, this was made on special request as it's our family favorite)
* Pav & Toast with butter & homemade Strawberry jam (the jam was delicious so I bought a bottle from them as it's preservative free & loaded with whole strawberries)

The kids play area is missing
It's there but I only added a small clip of me on the swing. Was avoiding the kids in the frame who were mostly hanging around the play area.

Have you tried the food here? I guess it's a personal preference when it comes to food. My friends and family all love the food. Once we stayed at their other property since they wanted a pool but came here for all the meals cause they didn't want to miss the food. We were a group of 16 people.
