@everyvillainislemons Nunchuck, Classic controller and gamecube controller. Pretty much anything without tilt controls is easier to use.

wow, the fact that this is competitive with a lot of the low-tier vehicles really goes to show how bad those vehicles are lol
His lack of speed even cost him an important jump because someone's shell got to him in time. And he still is, indeed, competitive.
Inside drift, man
I would add that maybe most of those players has no or low exp on karts and that counts a lot, besides that, kart lines are slightly different from bike lines wich everyone seems to be used, as a kart player I can tell it. Sure inside drift still is a thing, and he´s racing skill sum up a lot, but having the extra speed and orange miniturbos, karts should have done a bit better, just take rainbow road as a exemple, he went second cause people messed up... a lot.
To be fair Troy is REALLY good at this game. He's probably one of the best players in the world lol
The main reason it's competitive is really because Troy is playing. With optimal vehicles, he consistently takes 1st against most players. With handicaps, he can still be seriously competitive.

It's actually the same speed as Flame Runner on 100cc.

Max speed, max acceleration, but 0 on every other stat. That’d be hell. You go fast and reach that speed pretty fast, but have fun controlling it.

I kept thinking "use the star use the star" and then he got shocked
Note that actually acceleration is divided in 4 stages and an exponent. In this case, I used the worst stage and exponent values from every vehicle, being these:
S0 → Jetsetter
S1 → Flame Flyer
S2 → Jetsetter
S3 → Jetsetter
E → 0.2, a value used in some of the vehicles. The others use 0.65
As well as the acceleration values used while drifting:
S0 → 0.8, lowest value from many vehicles
S1 → 0.925, lowest from many vehicles as well
S2 → Wario Bike
S3 → 0.11, also used in many vehicles
E → 0.95, lowest as well
Also worth mentioning that I used the lowest value of other hidden stats, such as Traction (Standard Kart S/L) and handling/drifting tightness values

@@AA-tz2bm the "draft" is a US thing where able-bodied (and able-minded) adult males get signed up for the army and they can't do anything about it. It was a big controversy when people were drafted to fight the Vietnam War, but now it's less of a big deal since most of the Army is made of professional mercenary soldiers. So your chances of being picked are very slim.

guy in first could've had worse connection. i doubt this in particular is mkwii's fault (of which it has its fair share of); it's only a result of a fair point system.
The games awarding system goes by time. The player that actually got first crossed the line with a lower decimal, but lag and connection made him appear behind Troy. So the players time was actually lower when he finished the race, but crossed the line second due to lag

Actually, the cursed runner would still probably win, as the speed difference is too much. When troy did 200cc jetsetters vs 150 flame runners, the jetsetters still won.

This just proves to me that vehicle choice doesn't matter quite as much as some might think, and that even with literally the most hot garbage vehicle possible in the game you can still do decently.

You can make a vehicle even worse. My idea: less speed than the bit bike, less weight than the Quacker, let it fly off of ramps, less acceleration than the flame flyer, Less handling than the jetsetter, less drift than the phantom, give it outside drift, less off-road than the jetsetter, less mini-turbo than the jetsetter, make it a kart, give it a giant hitbox.
Are we not going to realize how violent the sound of starman-ing that Piranha Plant at 3:50 was? It sounded like it got blasted into orbit.
That vehicle still has a max speed of 57 mph! That isn't bad. Nearly as fast as my local amusement park's racing coaster, and faster than one of the park's classic wooden coaster that still holds up, Blue Streak.
