I remember as a kid our local Wendy's had the bead curtain that you would have to go through to entire the ordering area. This was probably late 70's-early 80's time frame. That's the only restaurant I have ever seen that had bead curtain. I remember thinking how cool that was as a kid. The restaurant that was Wendy's back in the 70's-90's is still there, but it's now a Chipotle.
They need to bring back the stained glass lamp shades, the newsprint formica on the tables with booths and the salad bar. Then it will be an "old" Wendys!
Our Burger King in Merrimack, NH had a huge gas fireplace and a large sunken dining area with an upper seating area surrounding it. I remember that place being so busy on weekend lunch and dinner, there would be a long line and no places to sit. Now, barely a car at the drive thru.

If they still had a salad bar that would blow me away with nostalgia
There's a Wendy's in my town of Murfreesboro, TN that is still all original.
So much more character to fast food places back then. Nowadays they don’t look much different than school cafeterias.
Today I learned every Wendys I've ever been to has been 'old"

The Wendy’s sunroom is a trip into the past.
It would be great to see all the Wendy's restored back to their original exterior and interior designs.
I remember burger King had that building style
glass used to fog up so it just looked like drywall anyway

Looks like every Wendy's I've ever been to. Nothing different.
Wait till you see a remodeled Wendy's and you will be hit with culture shock. They are as bland as BK.
back in the day the Solarium was the smoking section
There was a Burger King near me with a solarium that held a lot of fond memories for me too bad they took it out
an old*
I remember our old Wendy's in albuquerque on JuanTabo and Lomas
