- YEAR IN REVIEW | The WWF in 1995 (Full Year Documentary)
The year 1995 brought us a lot of great things, in the world of television we were first introduced to Goosebumps, in sports Michael Jordan would return to the court, and in the world of wrestling; WCW were formally lighting the fires of the Monday Night War’s by debuting their weekly prime time show, Nitro. However, when it came to the WWF, there were very few positives to be found as, over the next twelve months, they would go through arguably their worst year ever. Yes, the WWF in 95’ has become notorious amongst long-time fans as being terrible, however that’s not to say it’s not without its charm, with some of the whackiest gimmicks in wrestling history being introduced at this time. So how did it all unfold? Well, join us today as we take a deep dive into the entire story from start to finish in The WWF in 1995: A Year in Review.

I loved how you put rest in peace for Scott hall.
Except for the part where they got the date wrong
I was 9 yrs old in 1995. I loved Bret Hart, found Razor super cool, was scared of Yokozuna and hated Owen Hart being with Yoko. Life was simple... Life was good. I relived 1 whole yr of my childhood in these 20 mins. A big thankyou to you guys. Love you lots for this.
You nailed it bro. I was 11 and you're right, life was simple and good. I wish we could go back to those times.
Agree 100%. I was 10. Life was definitely good. Glad we can relive that time through these kind of videos. I don't know if we knew how good we had it back then but I sure know it now.
1985: Wrestling's Roaring Twenties
1995: Wrestling's Great Depression
While WWF & WCW were bad in 1995, apparently it was a great year for ECW.
You've gotten the year that Scott Hall passed away wrong 2022
Really? You totally sure about that? 🙁
@@Wide_leaf_indica710Yep, Scott Hall passed away on March 14, 2022.
Absolutely loving these timeline videos. Keep them coming! I haven't watched wrestling in 21 years, but content like this, I can't resist!
Appreciate the support man, plenty more coming 🤘🏻💪🏻
Check out wrestling bios that channel has all the old good stuff from 90’ to 2000’s and more
@@WRESTLEWITHANDY
When will we see a solo Undertaker video(long overdue)
I mean he's going into Hall of Fame now.
@@elzxhapo2411 Oh yeah! Ive been watching him since he had under 1,000 subscribers. Great stuff! Love the Reliving The War series!
@@WRESTLEWITHANDY a slight typo...this is year 2022.....you typed in 2021 in your memory of Scott Hall ......also want to say thanks for the hard work you do for your videos I've enjoyed them ...
As a kid back then, the 90s were something else. Experiencing the analog and the beginning of the digital age. And the Monday Night Wars going on was something special.
Yes I agree WWF in 1990 compare to 1995 is so different. And ever year in WWF in 90s was so different don’t see that in 2020 to 2022 look the same. And even wcw was same if even bigger leaps
Bro we had it good as kids...no phones and computers...just straight up T.G.I.F and then come Monday we had WCW Nitro from 7-9 and WWF Raw from 8-10 and I know some y'all can relate that as soon as Raw was over and Le Femme Nikita was coming on it was bed time 😂...good times
@@sandman2898 yes sir I remember Le Femme Nikita lol I was 8 in 95. Great time to grow up.
@@bradleybailey6254 I was 9...miss those days...time flys
Facts!
As bad as WWF was in 95. I still didn't watch one second of WCW. I was loyal
There's a mistake: Razor Ramon won against Double J via DQ at WM. He won his title back at a Ladder Match a few weeks later, before losing it 3 days later.
He makes a few mistakes in these videos almost like he expects us to correct him
Keep doing these bro, I absolutely am going to sit there with you and binge watch all of them. I watched the 1990 one adn then immediately came here to check and see how many you've done. I'm looking forward to reliving my entire childhood in one afternoon!
It’s mad how much Bret had to pull off good/great matches with some mediocre booking it proves how good he was! And also looking back how much of a raw deal did Taker get in a lot of the ppvs from mid 92-early 96. Some of my favourite matches from this year are Shawn v Jarrett IYH, Shawn v Razor Summerslam, Bret v Diesel Survivor Series and Bret v Bulldog IYH
If you guys made this for WCW too, that’d be awesome. Love the content
Got the death year wrong mate, Scott Hall R.I.P 2022.
Hey God, something happens to this gold, something gonna happen to you!
We are getting closer and closer to the best years, 1997-2001!
And 2002 it was underrated
@@Alex-go4sl Great wrestling, bad writing.
@@jp3813 katie vick 🤮
Great video, thanks!! Scott Hall was truly one of the unsung heros of the attitude era, RIP
He wasn’t part of “the attitude era”, as he was in WCW in the late 90s. Attitude Era was a WWF thing. However if Scott Hall hadn’t jumped to WCW when he did, during 96. Leading the “invasion angle”. It would have had a huge impact on things moving forward, perhaps no NWO, due to the part he played in the formation and without this wrestling would have never peaked like it did, during The Monday Night Wars, which the attitude era was part of. The whole landscape of wrestling may have been vastly different had Hall stayed in WWF.
I was there in Pittsburgh for SummerSlam 1995. The only great match was the ladder match with HBK & Razor Ramon (RIP, Scott).
Hey yo Scott ! We will all miss you, mang ! RIP ✌️
It’s mad how davey boy look so different in 1995 to 1996 and Shawn from 1994 to 1996
The wonderful days of good coke 😂
Great job 👏 I love these year in review videos. So much substance reliving my childhood
These are awesome! Thank you so much for your time and hard work! Reliving my childhood 20 mins at a time!
Great video. Unfortunately during 1995, I missed out on watching a lot of WWF as me and my family moved house and we couldn't get sky TV for a time so this video has showed me a lot. RIP Scott Hall, a true legend. Seeing him lifting big Sid up in the razors edge, I was like wow. This is one strong guy.
Love the video and the tribute to the bad guy himself! Keep the quality coming!
Amazing these are year in reviews love how you put them altogether like enjoyed it great to watch thanks again 👍

Enjoy the vids bro 💪🏻
Thank you very much, Andy! Well done!
Appreciate the support bro. More year in reviews on the way soon 🤘🏻
1995 was definitely one of the worst in WWF history. But 1995 in movies & music was EPIC.
It wasn't one of it was the worst
1995 in movies & music and Tv was outstanding
Examples?
@@dukes1993724 Films: Bad Boys, Die Hard With A Vengeance, Friday, Casino, Heat, Money Train, Apollo 13, Music:Dr Dre, Tupac, Green Day, etc
Nothing to do w/ wrestling. You should've said that ECW had arguably their best year.
This looks amazing. I have not watched wwe since 2019 and even the I watched old school stuff. Definitely a top 3 wwe channel. Wish I knew about u before
Great videos, bro! So nostalgic!
Absolutely loving these 'Year in review' videos!
Appreciate the support man, plenty more on the way 💪🏻🤘🏻
So in a very weird way, Alundra Blayze planted the seeds of the Montreal Screwjob. Vince was afraid Brett Hart would put his belt in the trash on Nitro.
He forgot Bret's contract ended one month after the Series, not right after.
@@LibraJohnny Yes but Bret had creative control at that point. He could have opted not to drop the belt before he left. And Vince didn’t want his champ being stripped of the title before going to the competition.
Love these particular video can u do more years please thank u 💗
I never watched WCW. For better or worse, I was WWF all the way. This period just really pissed me off bc Bret Hart was my favorite and they treated him poorly.
How did a casual fan watch WCW before Nitro? Was it just via live events and reading the dirt sheets?
You could watch WCW Worldwide which was in syndication and WCW Saturday Night, WCW Pro on Sundays, and the Clash of Champions specials on TBS
Thanks for watching, what we should we cover in the next video? Also, make sure to drop a like to help get the video picked up by CZcams’s algorithm 💪🏻👊🏻🤘🏻
Hey Yo 🤟
Please please do the undertaker
Do a NwO one please
Do Scott hall please please
I didn’t see the Scott hall documentary
Great Vid Bro! Can't wait for 1996, 1997, & 1998.
Cant wait until you review 1997-2003 !!! 1999 is gonna be a awesome review hopefully its closer to like 45-60 minutes if not longer because there were alot good stories/feuds during the Attitude Era!!!! Im so hyped hopefully by End of summer we'll have seen your reviews on the Greatest 7 years in WWF/E (1997-2003) please take your time with these reviews because i feel if done correctly these 7 reviews could easily all reach the Millions View Count! Love your Documentaries BTW some best Wrestling Content on CZcams period!! do you have cashapp or PayPal? if so please post links in about section or video description because id love to support you and donate! Cant wait for the Attitude Era Reviews I know they'll be worth the wait!!!
Looking forward to the next one!!
I'm all caught up now.
As I go back and watch these all again again!!, rip to the Bad Guy!
Awesome video! Looking forward to year 96!
Woah, you need to change that from 2021 to 2022
The year is 2022 not 2021 RIP Razor Ramon
He also said razor regained at mania when it was jeff
I have noticed in his videos, he needs to fact check a bit more
I was 16 in 1995. I loved diesel the most. I was also a Bob backlund fan because I grew up just before wrestlemania 1 watching wrestling so Bob backlin returning doing the same thing as George Foreman was a big deal to me and then diesel taking over that was epic because not too long before that it was Ultimate warrior in Hulk Hogan with the title even Sergeant slaughter. This 1995 I loved it I love that era even though it wasn't bringing in money and whatever. But look what it's led to nearly 30 years later you don't even see that kind of influence in music anymore
I'm enjoying these it's like living my childhood all over again especially the mid to late 90s
Awesome work, keep ‘em coming
I wasn't a wrestling fan until i started watching your content. It's brilliant content very professionally done. I'm 33 and English and my friends think im crazy for taking up this as my new interest but what do they know. I've learnt so much from watching your channel. Thanks. P.s my favourite wrestler is Brett Hart
Watch Wrestling Bios Reliving the War. Compared WCW Nitro to Monday Night Raw from 1995-2001. It’s great stuff!
Actually lex Luger Hadnt been under contract for months when he jumped, it was a handshake agreement after his contract negotiations had stalled/stopped
Can we get a episode of the greatest WWF gimmick of all time... Duke the Dumpster Drosi? That guy was great! Or maybe the Portuguese Man of War, Aldo Montoya??? Thanks!
sorry but mr.mcmahon is the greatest gimmick of all time.
At wrestlemania that year Razor Ramon didn’t regain the title from Double J although I wish he had. Great video!
WWF > WWE
Wwf
Did anyone else noticed that when the Scott Hall tribute showed up, it said 2021??
Yupp
awesome video! can we do, uh... dubya cee dubya next? starting in 1988, yes? 🤘🏾
One minor error in the video...Scott Hall passed away (sadly) in 2022 not 2021
Rest In Peace Razor Ramon
Scott hall passed away in 2022 not 2021. You should change that.
Such a great review
Thank Andy
The Rainmaker: Kazuchika Okada story
Almost a year and a half later, they still haven’t fixed Scott halls date of passing
RIP Razor
Let's hope heaven has plenty of tooth picks for you.
The fact that Three of the four cliq members of that time , are in thumbnail… SAYS A LOT ABOUT WHAT WAS GOING ON THAT YEAR IN WRESTLING
I love all your videos
Xanta Claus vs Mantaur would be my dream match. That Yoko vs Mabel fight was hilarious. And I liked Bret vs Hakushi. Hakushi would team up with Barry Horowitz and that was fun to see.
Rest in peace Scott Hall
Wednesdays with Andy 😆
Mantaur!!
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Nice tribute to Scott Hall at the start of the video. RIP to the Captain of Machismo
Rest in peace Scott hall God I'm gonna miss him 🙏
That Arkansas Hog Pen match was absolute 🔥🔥
I've gotta say man, I grew up watching wrestling, but the product turned stale and I left, but your videos have singlehandedly reinvigorated my love for the product, thank you.
I love your content
Very good
Are you gonna do the 80s im review once you finish up the 90s?
4:13 LMFAO Exactly what's happening this year lol
The Goldust Debut Year . 👍🏻👍🏻
Yo Andy, You made a typo on scott hall. He died this year 2022, not 2021 :0
Didn't Scott pass in 2022? Opening of your vid shows 2021!?! x
Roddy Piper was as coked up as a Columbian mule in that Bret Hart vs. Backlund match. It was epicly distracting from the match that was already lackluster.
Dude, it's 2022. You had one job...
Yo guys you had one job: Hall died like a few days ago, which is 2022, not 2021.
can't wait for 1996 year in review
Keep an eye on the channel tomorrow 😉
The graphic says 2021 yet Scott died in 2022. Change it.
Rip scott hall,Razor Ramon. But this was the WORST YEAR IN WRESTLING HISTORY
Rest in peace scott hall we as wrestling fans should buy a few of his shirts off of pro wrestling tees.
Pretty sure it's 2022 not 2021 as far as Scott Hall goes may he rest in peace, Good Vid though.
Could you please consider doing a career history video on Alistair Black know as Tommy end
It's 2022. Great video though.
hope you do wcw in the (insert year here) one day
these videos are great. I typically watch every single one. However they could greatly benefit from better background music. I dont think the 'random surfer music.mp3' is quite the tone you're looking for.
I've always wondered about the current state of the In Your House house is.
(The WWF gave away a house to a random PPV buyer).
I always felt when Bret won the title at Wrestlemania X that was supposed to be the stamp that he was THE guy! After all the bs Vince did to him the year before. And then once again not too long after Vince goes with someone else he thinks would be a better fit. The disrespect he showed Bret was amazing.
Bret was either too STUPID or too LOYAL to recognize it..
My favourite era
If you’re quoting the man in the beginning of your video at least get the year right that he died in
It's 2022, chico!!
Ahmed Johnson ppv debut was a + at survivor series 95
