  • Frank Sinatra and Roy Rogers both had homes in this area. This is a unique neighborhood with lots of hiking and stunning views. And visit the Chatsworth Historical Society. They have an open house the first Sunday of each month from 1 pm to 4 pm. And it's free.

Luci & Dezi Arnaz also had a ranch in Chatsworth, but it's located several miles away from the Chatsworth Nature Preserve. I read that they would drive to Sinatra's home on Farralone Ave. to attend a party hosted by Sinatra himself. Lionel Barrymore, the Oscar-winning actor from the silent screen era, also had a ranch in Chatsworth, but it's located off DeSoto along Rinaldi, right near the 118. Great video.

Behind that gate at the top of Woolsey Cyn. is the site of the first nuclear meltdown in 1961. Black Hills Sodium Reactor Site. Still heavily contaminated.
