We had IVF 24 years ago and our twin boys will be 23 in June! It worked on the first try! We know about the expense, I told my husband we should have named them Visa and MasterCard! :) Praying for beautiful babies!!

LoL, we also know that cost as well! We also know the cost of adoption because our IVF did not work! We had the double whammy! I remember asking our insurance company if this could be covered, they said no. They said this was optional a choice! I told her how is not being able to have a child optional? She didn't answer, but they will pay for abortion. Crazy! We ended up adopting our son 20 years ago. Time flys!

Hey Cole & Charisma, I just watched a video about a new breakthrough technology in Switzerland. A man was paralyzed from an injury 12 years ago. He recently had brain and spinal cord implants which allow him to walk. It’s amazing and worth looking into. You both are an amazing couple and deserve Gods best.

My daughter went through this as her husband had a problem due to an accident when he was a child. They conceived on the first time. Almost 2 years as of November my first grandson will be 2 years old. I pray you will conceive and the children in the future will bring you so much joy, peace and laughter. God Bless.

Seeing how concerned Cole was about Charisma before and during and after the procedure was so sweet and validating that the pain she’s feeling is real and she’s not over reacting. I’m so glad this went so well and hopefully she won’t have to go through this procedure ever again as Cole said.
*my dogs have always known when we weren’t feeling great, upset and my yorkie knew I was pregnant before I did and wouldn’t leave my side. Had no clue why he was so attached and wouldn’t leave me until I found out I was pregnant and it made sense. Animals are amazing!

I wonder how some people can wake up and just be some calm. When I woke up from anesthesia my mom had to come in the back to calm me down because I was cussing out the doctors. Charisma is so strong and they are so good together supporting one another.
As a differently, abled woman, I love seeing you all relationship. I’m a little older than charisma, but I’m still single. I just shed a tear because in the beginning of the video you all said five was your number and you got five embryos. That is so amazing and God is good.❤❤❤

You two for 1 ARE THE MOST ADORABLE! My fiance and I just recently started watching you guys after he was hit by a truck on his motorcycle and left for dead but by the Grace of God and the hands of the paramedics and dying twice on the way to the hospital he had a with me today! His accident was Feb 19, 2024 and our wedding date was planned for April 24, 2024. His spine was severed and is now a T7 Complete Paraplegic! He turned 41 just 9 days prior. Which happened to be the day my son’s best friend, 19, was killed on his motorcycle. I had actually left for the funeral on the 14th of Feb to go back to Atlanta. 5 days later I got the horrible call from my soon to be mother in law he wasn’t breathing. We’ve been home 3 weeks now and it’s definitely a new life. We’ve cried, yelled and laughed! Watching the 2 of you remind me a lot of us. Yall give US HOPE! He has no children and I’m 42 with 3 and my tubes tied but with all im handling taking care of him 24/7 I still would love to give him his first child!
We are praying for yall and hope that God delivers a miracle! Thank you again for making us laugh and teaching us everyday life in this new journey we are about to experience in the life of a paraplegic! 🥰

Y’all are definitely an inspiration. Me and my boyfriend have been thinking about kids. As he has CP and is wheelchair bound, we may have to go through this channel to have kids and it’s really nice to see more in depth of the what the journey may look like for us.

Granted, it wasn't giving birth to me but my guardian had CP and I am forever grateful for having had him as a stand in dad. He passed away a couple of years ago, at age 64. I miss him ALL the time and our every Sunday phone calls, cause he had moved to Missouri once I was on my own. I'm thankful for ALL different types of families ❤😊

Whoop whoop 16 🥚congratulations!! I love seeing the support Cole displayed for Charisma. I felt Charisma when she had to ask whether or not she was in pain or exaggerating. This is so typical for black women, feel the need to always be the strong one. Feel your feels Charisma you don't always have to be strong. Even with the medicines. I'm the same way I don't like taking meds, but sometimes you need the meds for more than just the pain. Meds can also be good for inflammation, and when you're in a lot of pain you can start 😓 and feel faint. The best option for those of us that don't like pain meds is to take them, but then start weaning off.

As a fellow IVF mommy, it is so worth it! It’s unfortunate insurance doesn’t cover it in most states. I feel for people who may not have the resources to try IVF 🙁

I’m so sorry you had such an adverse reaction. The process sucks so bad, but the outcome can be so worth it!
My last child, who is 19 months old, was conceived using IVF. It was during COVID, and because I am overweight, (not sure what that had to do with anything) they did not want to do my egg retrieval in the surgery center, under anesthesia… SO they did it in-office, and gave me a pain pill and a Xanax. I have a total of three kids, all c-section babies and that retrieval was some of the worst pain I have ever felt. On the drive home, if my husband hit a bump in the road, I was in tears. I totally get it. I’m sure you were feeling everything you were feeling!
I started with 15 eggs retrieved and at the end only one embryo survived. We were devastated and sure we would have to do another round, but God really works! That one is my sweet baby girl 😊

It used to be done that way for everyone - with you awake. But the baby in the end is worth it!
The reason for the weight is that a surgery center is not a hospital. If there were an emergency, there would not be time to transport you to a hospital. The majority IVF only uses Fentynal and versed alone. Others may put you completely under with propofol. Regardless the issue would be breathing and bleeding for anyone, and weight greatly increases those risks.
That said, a PILL and Xanax is comical and RIDICULOUS. I'd never go there again. Find a location that is paired with a hospital. I felt pinching with the Fentynal and versed and they had to double my dose.
@@ndlamont01 yeah they explained about anesthesia complications, but I have been under anesthesia sooo many times. I was so upset afterwards, but it did end up being worth it.
@J H I think thr surgery centers get scared bc there's no back up. I have Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD) so that makes us uniquely resistant to anesthesia. Every surgery I have had I ALWAYS remember and wake up immediately on the table. Fentynal and Versed metabolism too quickly with us. But the surgery centers won't give me more like the hospital. And I'm just 4'11" and the size of a small 12yr old.
My daughter just had her first retrieval last week, and luckily recovered fairly well. Good luck to you both!

Such a sweet photo of you both in wheel chairs holding hands, made me want to cry - with joy. All the discomfort - sorry you have to go through that, Charisma - but, it's all going to be worth it when your bundle of joy arrives. In a way, I bet Cole feels proud that for once he can take care of his sweet wife. I'm praying for you. You will make super great parents!

I had a friend miss my birthday party 2 weeks after her egg retrieval. She bought me a cake and said she felt terrible about it. Now I understand why she couldn't make it. I agree with you Charisma...I have watched videos about egg retrieval and freezing and I don't recall much about the pain being mentioned!

Cole, what an amazing human being, Charisma is one of a kind for sure. I'm so glad she came into your life for that reason. It's really two special people. I have a friend who is going through this procedure and she went to Turkey from London as ots cheaper there. She just had her egg retrieval, so I'm waiting from the next stage. She also had a rough time after procedure too so looks like that's normal. Hope everything goes great for you guys.

Good luck to you two! I did six egg retrievals and I’m currently 6 and a half months pregnant with my first baby. It can be pretty painful having your eggs removed, but it’s so worth it.

Hooray! Those were exactly our numbers 🎉 we transferred 2 embryos (bc of my age and we didn’t test) and got triplets! One embryo spilt. Sending all the good vibes and baby dust! Charcoal tablets help with the gas pain if you ever have anesthesia again. It’s horrible.
Good luck we did it for 12 years. 2kids later God is good 🙏🏾🤗

I would never question Cole’s ability to take care of you. He’s light years ahead of my ex husband and he was able bodied. I think the first time you go through a painful procedure is the worst. But if you had the procedure done again you’d know what to expect.
My 3 children were all c-sections and the first time I couldn’t believe how painful it was. The ones that came after were still painful but not like the first. Now I compare any pain I have to go through with childbirth.
