About Cole & Charisma:
Welcome to the official Roll with Cole & Charisma CZcams channel! Since the start of our relationship we've gotten a lot of questions about our experiences as not only an interracial couple, but an interabled one as well. On this channel you can catch us doing travel and adventure vlogs, challenges, our inclusion series, couple first times, music, and so much more! We started this vlog to bring people into our lives, to answer some questions about how we navigate the world, and hopefully raise awareness surrounding accessibility and dating in a wheelchair. @@wheatstonebridgewell she is beautiful. Great face, fit, gorgeous skin. She also married someone with an obvious disability. I have twin boys who are disabled, and they are 14 now. I don’t want to speak for charisma or their relationship, but it’s truly beautiful when people see a disabled person beyond their disability. I don’t blame people for being a bit weird around people who are disabled or different, it’s human nature. But it takes a special human to see past the differences and difficulties of dating someone with a disability. Hope that helps.

My son became a c6 7 quadriplegic at 15, it took awhile before he got his degrees, he's doing his masters now in IT. I think that's what it is. He's lived at the dorm at the University for 3 years now. Only help he needs is bc he does everything and can out cook anyone in the family hard to believe because his fingers cant open etc and problem is transportation, driving, he got his license but can't afford a van. He's done 2 internships and works part time under the president of the university. Finding full time is the tricky part. He doesn't give up but half the time finding a wheelchair cab they never show, city has a program but he is 2 miles out of the limit for them to help. The van we have is 17 years old doors do not open auto anymore ramp has to be manually pulled down ac went out. Part of life. His first purchase he said will be a new vehicle he can drive. Hoping and praying he gets the full-time IT job at the University he applied for or one at Nasa he did also. He can still live at the dorm and do his last few classes at night and the schools shuttle will take him both ways. Pray for him.

I mean, it’s much more common for women to stick with disabled men than vice versa. Lot of men abandon their parents once they get sick
She did not "stick" with him, she met him when he was already disabled and fell in love with him when he was disabled because she did not care about that, your comment seems to have ableist undertones (respect for doing this such an impossible thing right) get out

Sprinkling some baby powder on the board, seat and rear can help reduce friction during the shower chair transfer and make it easier to readjust. Tucking a washcloth around the boys ensures they don't get snagged!

Thanks for sharing ur routine! As a para for 33 yrs, im thrilled that our lives are being shared on this media. My routine is a little different only because i can get dressed in the wheel chair, and i gave up intermittent cathing for a indwelling foley catheter and leg bag-- out of convenience. I can drink as much water as i want w/o having to stop and pee. Im surprised that u dont use the compression socks - with the CA heat! My feet swell during the day w/ the Northeast US weather!

I don't think you know how much you help others. Cole, you have grown so much from when you couldn't do anything to getting dressed yourself. You are showing other spinal cord injuries what they can do to help themselves. 😊

I love that you both approach the extra work Cole's disability creates in the mornings with such a good attitude, no pity party here, just getting on with living your lives and enjoying the journey. Our morning routine usually takes about 2 hours. When our kids were little, we split it: the kids would get bathed/showered in the evening, then me after they went to bed; then my wife and I would get up first in the morning, get her ready (I dressed while she was showering), then get the kids up and dressed.
Thanks for Jedi , It's rare for me to see men as the primary support system in an interabled relationship. It's so very heartening when I see such a couple. It makes me believe that someone might love me just because they do, and not for any benefit they can get from me as was the case in my marraige before I was paralysed.
@@globalconcern4995 In most of the interabled couples we know personally, the wife is disabled. In fact, when our kids were little, my wife ran an international online resource for parents with disabilities, and it was far more common among the members for the mom to be disabled.

I had a client that was quadriplegic, we did a lot of the morning routine the same. Things like moving the bed up and down. These video would be be extremely helpful for individuals that are newer to a quad life. I appreciate you sharing these personal videos to help people. ❤

I'm a T8-10 paraplegic from transverse myelitis and I need help from my husband who is my home health aide! I also have dysautonomia that affects my heart rate and blood pressure! My morning routine is nearly the same as yours Cole!

I am a C6 32 years post accident. Since I’ve always held a traditional office job and had to commute and be in around 8am, I shower in the mornings and programs in the evenings. I feel less rushed splitting it up that way. I do look forward to retirement and probably switching everything to the morning so hubby and I can enjoy our evenings together! Agreed our routines will likely change depending on the phase of life we are in!
