Thank. You. For. These. Videos !
Really sounds great! I’ll be looking to play a Gallagher real soon.
Mind made up now. I’ll be ordering one soon. Thanks David & JP.
Isn't it a treat to listen to someone who knows what he's talking about! No garbage, no B/S, just straight forward knowledge based on living it!!!!
I’ve listened to JP play almost every guitar I can think of lol. He sounds more free on these than almost any I’ve heard.
Thank you for watching and for your observation.
JP is correct about knowing sound nuances. Early on we tend to buy what our heroes play…but enough years go by and you learn what works for your own style.
Totally awesome guitar David. You should be on back order for a long time.
He did it again! Another set of beautiful sounding instruments! And having JP try them out and comment on them, brilliant! He is one heck of a player! Love his honesty and personality. Always a hoot watching him. Congratulations
What a good point about people never having heard bad guitars now... Guitars are so good these days, really
David, these two guitars are beautiful and sound absolutely amazing! You guys are definitely making your presence known to the world!
That says a lot when a Mahogany guitar sounds better & louder & more full than a Rosewood!
I played both of these guitars that day, and used my camera to shoot the thumbnail at the masterclass. That mahogany one just had all the stuff we like in a guitar. The whole group drooled over that guitar that day.
Beautiful Guitars 🎸 they sound amazing, JP is the man, he knows Guitars, one of the best flatpickers around, THANKS David and JP for sharing these beautiful guitars.
Not rocket science, EVERY Gallagher guitar rings like a bell and there's no other guitar that sounds any better sounding in my opinion. Volume, bass, mids and punch , and balance, it's all there in extreme greatness.
Always enjoy JP and his picking! I can't speak to the new Gallaghers as mine is older and from the old shop in Wartrace when Don was running the shop. These new ones do sound good though...
I love my G70 but I might have to have one of these bells or a ragtime special one day
lov my Sweet Gal and it’s mahy
Meant to say “you” did an amazing job
I was in the shop talking to JW when he said he sold a Guitar to some Japanese who insisted on buying a guitar. They keep taunting him until he agreed to sell the one someone had ordered. He later was upset they had copied his guitar.
Had not heard that part of the story. Thanks
I also love a good spruce/mahogany acoustic, the only downside I see is mahogany looks more plain, as to where rosewood can have all kinda cool looks, wild grain rosewood is awesome. Sap wood rosewood amazing, but looks? Or sound? Is the question
Well, good for you. It is not one or the other. Figured mahogany is also beautiful. Sinker mahogany can sometimes give you figure that you don't normally see.
Surprised that the Madagascar sounds dead. The mahogany is brilliant.
There are enough D-18/28 copies. Make a Gallagher.
Isn't it great that there are choices? Even our pre-war style model has a headstock like no other.
There a lot of exaggeration +++++ in guitar...Seasick Steve play in a show with a 2x4 with one string and 26000 thousand people bought ticket to see him.
I would pay good money to see a good player with a $100 guitar BUT I would not even go see a not that good of a player with a rare Martin d45.
Yes. But in this comment, its about the performance. We love guitars and so for us, this vid is about the guitars. The tones, the look, the feel. I own some beautiful guitars, but Im not a good player. But I just love acoustic guitars. I like seasick steve, but I dont go to see him for the tone of the "instrument"....
