Ray Marcrom, who introduced David to guitars and to Gallagher guitars, joined us for our grand opening on February 1st, 2020. With Ray's sudden passing on July 9, 2024, this recording is treasured now more than ever. It was a wonderful evening. That moment together and the shared affection is forever.

Why is it called the Slim?
good question. It is referred to as a "comfort dread" because it has the shape of a dread but the side width of our GA (Grand Auditorium, or OM). It indeed makes it more comfortable

I love this story. By all accounts there was no more humble and kind man in the music business than Doc Watson. He's a hero of mine and I owe a lifetime of playing guitar and enjoying music to him.
