One of my favorite performances. She always excelled at emoting in performances, but man, the feels in this one! And incredible vocals for this era! I also had to grow into this one, and Didn’t We Almost Have It All, though I always did enjoy the vocals
A Whitney song that I had to grow in order to appreciate is, “Miracle”. When Miracle came out I was in the 5th grade and was going through the MC Hammer can’t touch this and Janet Jackson, rhythm, nation, phase, but the rest of the world. However, the lyrics “ I wonder if I could be your miracle I wonder if I could spare you pain” have become very definitive of who I am as a person.
I agree with @tyvanhworkout. All her live performances are better than the studio tracks. The thing with live performances is she can control the music to either speed it up or slow it down. If you watch more of her live shows you will be able to see how she controls the band.
