@@abhinavsingh1526 Well I went through a 4 year long depression that stagnated and destroyed much of my life. Thankfully I have found the cure for it some time ago. I'm just saying this about the word cuz it really should be applied more seriously. Because depression is not even closely taken as seriously as it should, while it is one of the most devastating diseases in existence. As someone who lost a dear friend to it and saw many others attempting to take their own lives I know how deadly it can be.

To anyone who says Messi is better than R9, sorry but your completely wrong.
Messi matured into his greatness. R9 was running things as a teenager at the level Messi was at 24-25. The Problem was R9s body was effed by the time he reached 23. Even then goals wise Messi had nothing on Ronaldo until 24. More like 21 but Ronaldo was so far ahead on goals it took Messi 3 seasons to catch up.
Stats - over their first 7 Pro seasons
Messi by time he was 24 had like 188 goals in 350 games (Club and Country)
R9 by 21 had 196 in 228 games (club and country) by 24 (3yrs full of injuries and even a heart attack) R9 had 232 in 282.
What you have to take into account is R9 at 19 Ruptured his Patella in Holland for PSV in his second season (1995). He only played 21 games that season but still managed 19 goals. He then at 22 Ruptured his Patella twice within the space of a few months. So altogether from 95 to 99 he Ruptured his Patella 3 times missed 105 games and spent over 800 days recovering from various surgeries. Yet still managed 115 goals in 134 games between 94 and 99.
Further more during that time he entered the world cup final of 98 with 4 goals, had a Seizure (years later cardiologist Bruno Caru said it was a heart attack) in his hotel room hours before the final and was given epilepsy medication (which is known to slow brain activity, Maryln Monroe took to commit suicide) and sent out to play.
My point is when it comes to goal scoring he was on another level to Messi. Messi at one club was and is one of the greatest ever.
However, Ronaldo had banged in those 200 goals in nearly as many games in (the Brazillian league, Dutch, Spanish and Italian by 21) Messi at that age was no where near Ronaldo and currently has 6 in 20+ games at PSG and what's hilarious is folk kept criticising Mbappes record saying it was so good he was playing against Farmers (ignoring the fact Mbappe has proved himself against the best clubs in Europe in the UCL and on the international leve (world cup). Well Messi is in the farmers league now.
Messi is defo more creative passer and assists and in his prime prooved an elite. But goals...R9 is to me the greatest ever despite never reaching his physical prime.
He also recovered from 4yrs of rehab and attempted returns to score 83 in 127 at Real Madrid despite his weight gain and only 2 thirds of the explosiveness he had in the mid 90s.
Without the bad luck of Knee ruptures, broken Leg and heart attack (sounds like a war veteren) he would have no doubt have set a goal to game ration record Ronaldo and Messi couldn't have beat.
It a real shame! He is 'Fenômeno'
Skills, touch, finishing, speed, power, strength everything.
Lastly a fun fact...for 20% of his goals he took on the keeper! 🤣 🤣

Honestly i dont know if hes better than Messi. Messi was pretty much a starter at Barcelona playing in finals by the time he was 18. He never even played in farmers' leagues until his early retirement at PSG. If you look for highlight reels of el clasicos and others youre gonna find Messi taking on 3-4 players at a time multiple times a game, even when he doesnt score. Early Messi's agility is just something else, no one comes close

@@caralho5237 Forget taking on player R9 could also take on 2/3/4 players. I'm talking about comparing them as young prodigies. And because people like to say R9 played in Holland here are stats as a 18-22 yr old at international level.
      R9 had 34 Goals and 20 assists in 55. That's 54 goal involvements in 55 games.
Messi had 15 goals and 12 assists in 54
      That's 27 goal involvements in 54 games.
R9 had double the goals involvements at the same age at international level.
Club level: Messi - 133 goals and 56 assists in 231 games. That's 189 goal involvements in 231 games.
      R9 - 155 goals and 29 assists in 189 games - that's 184 goal involvements in 189 games.
R9 never reached his physical peak or experience because by time he was 22 a knee injury from PSV days had hampered him till for inter it put him out for 2 years and he never recovered (weight gain and all that)
But based on his trajectory from 18 - 22 R9 was all round better in my opinion.
Faster (could run 60m in 6.8/7seconds - Usain bolt could do 6.3) Better skills with ball at speed, step-overs, elastico etc. and had better goal involvement stats at combining his time at Barca, PSV and Inter and international he proved it at every level.
It's hard not to look at Messi without hindsight. So people judge on the numbers Messi grew too. R9 started on better numbers but just fell victim to injury and never continued.

Even his passing and vision were underrated (he had always at least 2 defenders on him, he knew when to dribble, when to accelerate or when to pass at the right time). Injuries robbed us of what should have been an even more incredible career from the Phenomenon. And still, what he did pre injuries, at such a young age, is just alienesque. Iconic superstars should only be identified if they play exceptional & are superbly talented. Ronaldo didn’t play soccer long enough, he had a very short career. Even when he did play, he didn’t do anything special. He performed far below the level of a world class talent. Ronaldo was the most overhyped player of his era. His 2002 Ballon D’or win will forever go down as the biggest robbery in soccer history. What did he do to deserve the victory? He barely played during the calendar year & when he came onto the pitch, he was not an impactful player at all. To not give the award to Thierry Henry was a total injustice. Prime Henry was 100x better than Ronaldo at his peak. He went undefeated in a full season with Arsenal and also carried France to the 1998 World Cup & 2000 Euros. Henry won the treble in 2009, the most prestigious award in soccer, that’s something Ronaldo never achieved. There should be no question that Henry is the greatest striker in history alongside Luis Suarez. Ronaldo didn’t deserve any of his Ballon D’or or FIFA World Player Awards. He was an absolute joke of a player.

People say he wasn't an athlete. C'mon, just imagine reaching 40 km/h almost every single run, while also controling the ball and avoiding legs and feets trying to take you out. His body was strong, indeed, when he was at Barcelona the staff used to say that he had a body like a pro fighter. His playing style was so overwelmingly stressfull that his body couldn't maintain it.

Actually, i hate football videos with music and ridicilous songs, but in this video with fenomeno i was about to cry. It is so emotional, and if he hadn't injured in his prime, he would have been the best forever. Neither Messi nor cr7 could have reached him, his technique, esthetic and beauty. His game was purely an art and he was an artist. He was just unbelievable. I don't think I'll ever see someone like him again.

It is amazing see Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi nowadays, but who saw Ronaldo playing in the ending of 90s and begging of 2000s, could say that he is the best player that ever exists. Not only for skills and strength, but his speed was not from this world, any player could not reach him. He used to kick a little the ball in front and run with a awesome speed.

@@broxy2007 well I am from this era, but i love to follow and analyze classic football in detail.
I would say Pele is really the greatest of all time.
      1-Pele
      2-Messi
      3-Maradona
      4-Ronaldo Nazario (in his prime)
      5-Johan Cruyff and Cristiano Ronaldo

The greatest soccer player, I seen Messi and CR7, they are good, but I like a player who has the confidence to go around the goal keeper in big games.
R9 had the most elegant and stylish dribbling tricks than any other football player in history...

The Absolute Power of R9 in his prime... he would do things that made you feel out of this world, like the first time you heard your favorite song... every. single. game.
I also don’t think that people realize he won a World Cup on 1 knee, and played the second half of his career without cartilages on either knee.
