    I'm just glad to see you're wearing proper footwear for the task at hand. Nice work!

    I'm continually amazed that this channels growth seems slow. chad always delivers. your quality of build is far higher then mine. good job as always.

      I’d need to put more consistent effort into the channel to get it to grow. Feed the algorithm and all that. But I’m happy with the comunity it’s building at this point.

    I really like the through floor fittings - I may well borrow the idea 👍

      Let me know if you want the STL files, I can post them somewhere.

    I would have added bolt holes to those tophat pieces so you could have secured them.
    Otherwise, great job. Enjoy the overland glamping.

    Woah, look at the big brain on Chad!
    Or, alternate hypothesis, was it the camera lady holding a cattle prod?
    I hope it has enough BTUs to cool your habitat enough.

    Nice as usual, Solid Romex will ultimately break, you need stranded wire in vehicles👍

      Yep. Already have triplex on order to replace it.

    I love the overall approach youˋre taking with this build. Keeping it simple where you can while adding the creature features that matter to you (or the spousal unit as the case may be).

    Very well done :) If there is profanity on the clip it shows you are actually working hard and not just making it look good :P

    Thanks for this video! I was thinking about using a mini-split in my build. Did you consider that and if so, can you explain the advantage of the Cruise N Comfort system. Thanks again for all your videos. Very helpful.

    • @BrokeOverLand
      @BrokeOverLand  Před 2 lety +1

      I did consider a mini split as it would have been much cheaper. There are two main things that drove me to the CNC
      Its Efficient, since it is DC with no conversation.
      Also without going to a 240v mini-split I couldn’t find an evaporator that wasn’t a big blocky wall unit. My original design was to use a trucking auxiliary power unit. But that is a whole story on its own.

    • @wagz
      @wagz Před 2 lety +1

      @@BrokeOverLand Thanks for the response... except now I have to add 4-5k more to the budget to upgrade to CNC.

    • @BrokeOverLand
      @BrokeOverLand  Před 2 lety

      Maybe, if you have a wall big enough to put the evaporator on you could spend the “savings” on more battery. I just didn’t have the space for the evaporator.

    Chad, what is you report on the system, I have a question about noise if any from the compressor while running and overall performance.

    • @BrokeOverLand
      @BrokeOverLand  Před rokem

      I’ve been happy with it so far. You know it is on but it is not obnoxiously loud. I have not done any db measurements.

    • @mrbez9912
      @mrbez9912 Před rokem

      @@BrokeOverLand I’m considering going the same route, my old lady just drive her nuts, any noise 🤷‍♂️. Did you feel any vibration true out the cabin at all?

    • @BrokeOverLand
      @BrokeOverLand  Před rokem

      Yes we do feel vibration from the compressor as it is right under the dinette. You may want to check out a DC mini-split. That way you only have the evaporator in the habitat and they are much less expensive.

    • @mrbez9912
      @mrbez9912 Před rokem +1

      @@BrokeOverLand 10/4, yeah the aesthetics of the mini split, inside and outside never got over, maybe will try some rubber isolators similar to the ones that are used on big ac units or washers and dryer machines, and see if that helps, thanks anyway.
