But Urulu, knowing that he's got the Navy "over a barrel," inflates the price of his real estate to ridiculous levels. My favorite line of all time was from an episode where Parker and Binghamton were stuck flying a Japanese cargo plane, and were being shot at by the PT. 73. " Parker, .. if we don't come out of this ALIVE, I'm going to KILL YOU."

I agree with you Antony, this is pure comedy, not like the comedy rubbish Hollywood make today.
This whole show is ridiculous and the whole cast is very good! This show had a lot of Conway's best work imo. I can't even imagine anyone else coming close in his role as Ensign Parker.

10:16 "Gesundheit!" ("bless you!" in german) they do it so often. Other words as "Achtung!" ("attention!" / "watch out!") have been also in these movies. each and every time without any need to speak german.
Gesundheit is still common in the US today. German used to be the second most spoken language here.

Mc HALE'S NAVY WAS A GREAT SHOW BACK in THE 1960s AND JOE FLYNN AS captain Binghamton OLD LEAD BOTTOM DROWNED in his swimming POOL AND ERNEST Borgnine AS THE skipper WAS A GREAT ACTOR AND Tim CONWAY WHO WAS ensen PARKER WAS in A TV SHOW CALLED THE CAROL BERNET SHOW with HARVEY CORMAN AND UNFORTUNATELY Tim CONWAY died in 2000AND19 REST in PEACE JOE FLYNN AND Tim CONWAY YOU WERE GREAT COMEDY ACTORS in Mc HALES NAVY 😅

Comparative thought to real life armed service. Joe's were always trying to get over on the officers or assigned duties in any creative way possible. Make an extra buck, always the entrepreneur, by hook or crook. Always done in good fun.
There was always a goofy pair or group in any enlistment. Made daily life more eventful. Life could and would be dull throughout the year.
Just an observation from my tour when watching this funny series.

What can you call when a character do something absent minldy before snapping out of it like 06:35. Just to put it in when you're writing a story.
Binghamton would have been fraged within weeks.

! Go to sleep with Quinton and the gang every night. It makes me less stressed and I remember the world as it was when I first saw them.
Not the best episode from Season 2, by far. Nothing's going to top Episode 10 of Season 2, "The August Teahouse of Quinton McHale". That's certainly got to be one of the best episodes of the series. Still, there were some laughs here and there.
Binghamton Murder Plot is a good one
Awful. Even as a kid I couldn't understand how Binghamton couldn't "play along" to get what he was after. Love the show, hate the episode. Thanks Jackie Boy for posting.
Urulu was funny as crap. McHales navy wasnt any good after they went to Italy.
A foretaste of Global Warming and the sinking of Pacific Islands. Quite shocking just how much some of the islands have disappeared in the last 20 years let alone since they were photographed from the air during WWII.
