  • In this video I took off 2 weeks from work to try and knock out as much of the metalwork as i could. I hit a snag replacing a section on the wheel well where the hood prop connects. I also got the spare tire well replaced.

I enjoyed your video, it helped me with fitting up my Beetle spare tire well repair. Your skill level will improve with gained experience. I find it is helpful to step away when things aren't going well.

@thomaspollock4274 glad it helped you! I've seen a bit of improvement from when I started so hopefully it continues. Now if only I could find enough time to get in the garage.

Great video! Nice to see you posting again, I really enjoy your content. The licence plates on the sill of the bus would get more attention at a car meet than a shiny muscle car 😂😂😂

I agree lol. To be the only big visible rust I figured it was a quick easy way to cover it up for now esp because I have a bad habit of starting another project before I finish all the others.

Thanks Joe! Glad to finally have a video out. Almost didn't release it because it felt like a jumbled mess. Need to get back in my rhythm

Heat gun with a scraper to the undercoating works well too

Yeah I need to invest in a heat gun. It will make life much easier.

Turn up your heat on the welding, seems cold.

I'll give that a try. Still learning how to use the welder so I'll take all the advice I can get.
