- It’s NOT OK to be upset. It’s NOT OK to be angry. It’s NOT OK to feel disappointed.
That’s what the world tells us. There's been a movement to watch our thoughts and feelings, making sure that we're positive at all times. We receive messages that we must shift these ‘bad’ feelings and find better ones. But when we do this, we close down and shut off parts of ourselves, suppressing the fullness of our emotions. To feel whole and be whole, we must honour all of it - good and bad. All emotions are beautiful and create a fullness and wholeness in our experience.
They are powerful forces that our bodies can use as fuel for action and healing. Our thoughts create reality, not the other way around. So when our reality doesn't look the way we want it to and brings up emotions that are unpleasant to us, that is the message we are being given to start building a bridge between what is and what can be.
Taking time to be aware of our reactions, thoughts and emotions will bring us into a space of clarity and balance where we can make informed decisions guided and supported by our soul... decisions that will usher in release and healing for ourselves and all of life around us.

A truth very difficult to live and share without being looked upon as half coo-coo.. And very hard to be a highly sensitive person and feel everything so deeply. ❤
There's a switch lately, whereas more and more people are validating the importance of emotions while also returning to the basics, going off grid, trying to live slower and closer to nature. I hope we can re-teach society to feel deeply.
I love the universal similarities so many of these films share: Kind quiet people, pets, immersion in nature, raking, cups of tea, books... And we audience members share tears, immense calm and gratitude, and a feeling, knowing this is how it should be and should have always been. "Humanity did not create the web of life but is merely a single strand within it, and every strand pulled, pulls on every other" - Native American wisdom. Thank you for these beacons of hope.

I was born as a child from a loving and caring mother that felt deeply, her sensitivity was her profound blessing and her lifes most painfull curse. She tought me to experience and love nature, solitude, all earths living creatures in all theire diversity, to respect and to preserve, be gratefull for even the smallest things and what difference a smile can make. She found redemtion in poetry, litterature, the creativity she refined into art, the mountains, childrens eyes and trust in kindness and compassion as a life long strategy. Her mothers life motto was "We have come here to help, support and care for each other". I am forever gratefull for the legacy they passed on to me. I hope I'm worthy and able to pass it on. I can feel that anger and despair this messy world fuels me with - and I do hope it is love and compassion that is the core values in me. It is really hard to tell sometimes. Confusion reigns and Trust is fragile these days. As I'm pushing 65 I let go of fear. It don't serve me no more. Please accept my humble love - and take care!

I took care of my parents with dementia.
Fifteen years ago, both parents suffered from dementia and Parkinson's disease
After that, he quit his job and had to take care of both of them by cleaning up urine and poop at the same time for a long time.
I am also a survivor of a violent family.
My father was violent, and my mother and I survived.
Last year, two of you died three months apart, and I was very stressed out.
After my parents passed away, all I had left was a sick body and heart.
I had a brain aneurysm and I still have two brain aneurysms in my head.
We also have other vascular diseases.
Anxiety that you don't know when and where it's going to explode.
I suddenly gained 15kg due to liver function, kidney function, and hypothyroidism, but it's hard to walk and move.
And I'm still treating depression, anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and insomnia.
I got a job, but I quit because my health deteriorated, but the price has gone up so much that I'm at a loss.
I still can't control a lot of emotions in my mind.
I am in treatment and physically and mentally ill condition, but the path I walked is weak, but I want to share and communicate because I want to help, and I feel encouraged and encouraged to start CZcams.
I want to be healthy now.
I want to stand alone healthy and free.
I'm looking for myself.
I don't even know who I am.
The center of my world has been my parents until now.
My parents are dead, so they're looking for me.
It's only now that I feel sad and hurt.
My father was confident until his death and did everything for my children, but I was only hurt.
I'm particularly sensitive to violence and sound. I think lethargy is the biggest problem. It hurts.
I always wore a mask because I wanted to see it hard. After my parents died, my mask came off.
There's a weak me.
I'm crumbling and floundering.
The goal will be to get out of pain.

This lady conveys a message so heartfelt and strong that all of humaity should listen. I so wish that the money men, powerbrokers and others of the avaricious class would heed her words. Rampant consumerism, hand in hand with a blatant disregard for other sentient beings and nature will end our species. The old trees around her home may have been cut down but the young now growing will bring hope and joy whilst they stand sentinel over her. Thank you for making such an important video.

The dogs are the common denominator that I look for in Reflections of Life.
I contribute to the preservation of our planet by not participating in animal product consumption,
never buying new (unless ultimately have to), avoiding waste, eating at home, practicing holistic medicine, living within my means, I don't have children, I drive a hybrid, I've bought land to hopefully protect and I could go on but won't. I really heard the line she said about we (humans) are only one of millions of species. I try not to use more than my share. My pain happens when I experience so many people who have no resource consciousness or do not care or think it's political
Or just won't believe it.
There are so many ways to help.

I feel very sad at times and frustrated and even angry that much of traditional politics, economics and religion, especially religious, ideological and economic fundamentalism obstinately refuses to see that existence on this planet is not all centered on humans, separate from nature. We are an essential part of a greater whole that is to be respected, protected and held sacred.
Yet, I realize that if I am to be healed and at peace I have to forgive this inability in all of us to to see beyond default perspectives, that have been ingrained in us by centuries of indoctrination by self absorbed religion and education.
If we are to continue to live in a viable and nurturing world , it is imperative that humans evolve to see that we are a integral part of an amazing of web of life and personal responsibility and cooperation is required to maintain it, not neglect and dominance which is eventually suicidal and destructive to all that exists on this planet.

Well, that definitely made me shed a few tears. I work in climate tech with the hope of doing something to stop the path humanity has been on. That said, in this space, I don't feel many people approach the issues out of love and humility. It's primarily driven by ego and capital.
Honestly, that needs to change to make the most measurable impact, but I'm unsure of how. Thought exercises definitely help as in the video.

Thank you for the poetry at the start of film by Wendel Berry. Yes, fortunate in deed to live in Washington State. - we tried but found
it very expensive and ultimately had to leave. A progressive place is not progressive if the average hard working soul cannot live
there. We felt very connected to the land also and am encouraged that this woman is able to live there and protect it and tell
others about the beauty. We all need to hear this in order to save our beautiful home, where ever we live.

while I see nothing wrong with understanding our superposition in time and consciousness on this planet, I have to temper my overall "feelings" based on the reality of time gone by (while understanding what will happen after I'm gone from here) while also knowing that the future of the planet is strong and it will endure long after we're gone. life here is fluid with species coming and going throughout the history of the planet. what has gone from the past faced its limited time here, and the changes allowed their transition. we humans will also face this dilemma, as time marches along, uncaring of our "feelings" or what we currently desire of our future. and of this I take solace in my time here, and that I took what I needed while enjoying what I also left behind for others...... its a good life if you can take a moment to understand your position in this reality without the ego that haunts most people through guilt, fear and envy......

While we humans are simply a speck of dust in the big picture of the life of this planet, we can still, while we are here, do what we can to limit our impact and the harm that we cause through our actions, to ourselves and all of life around us. thank you for another "feeling deeply" beautiful film. Living in Miami, Florida, I watch with great despair as beautiful old orchards full of trees are cut down for further and further development. We have been cruel to the planet, taking and taking, but changes are taking place.
More and more people are becoming aware of the importance of nature. We are beginning to respect and appreciate the planet.
More and more, we are finding healthier ways to live, taking nature into account.
Some choose to live in tiny homes. Some start tree-planting companies. Organic foods with pesticide-free farming is becoming more and more prevalent. They are refuge farms for animals.
