I have a brand that got used to me working for free and now they pay other influencers. When they came to meet me for content and I sent my rate card they paid after some hesitation but I can tell there's a difference in the relationship just because I charged them. Now I just wonder why they're comfortable paying other creators but find it difficult to pay me that have worked for free with the brand from when they started. Guess I don't have enough numbers 😅

Wow, I've actually never thought of it this way...the whole idea of offering things for free and attracting the wrong audience. And now I realize it's also the same way people who, in their actual personal lives, are people pleasers, end up making themselves available/accessible to the wrong people and it can ruin their lives.
