Occasionally I visit Abuja, and I cant get over why I have to get to the market or supermarket to buy fruits. So no aboki hawking past my street or busstop? Ha. No street food? so i can just buy yam & dry pepper to nibble on before dinner? O ga o 😀😀😀

This is really insightful. I used to do a lot of volunteering in Uni. Sometimes I'd receive a certificate and sometimes it gave me a chance to meet people who have ahead of me in my field. All these have accumulated into work experience for me and a shot at scholarship opportunities. Thank you for coming to the CZcams space 😅

I loooove culture shocks! I've lived in Lagos all my life but I visited Abuja last September and I did have a couple of culture shocks: - People stare at you so much! It might be because of how I was dressed but I'm a guy and I had braids on. - Bolt is sooo cheap! I was going somewhere and was charged N600. I swore that I cheated them because there was just no way! - It felt to me like things were very slow(?). I'm used to things moving really quickly(e.g., cars, people, conversations) but that was not the case in Abuja. - The air was indeed fresh(for lack of a better word) :) -- loved it! - It gets silent really quickly. So silent that you'll be able to hear truck sirenes even though you live a distance away from the express.
