Yeah im not gonna lie theyre taking ALL of the lust out of ripping wax. Whats the point of buying on release if its price gouged similiar to what mcdavid boxes should be. Its ridiculous
That's the way everyone should be thinking. Opening packs should be fun. I can think of a lot of things that are a lot more fun than opening hockey cards for this price.

Watching these videos reminds me of watching the travel channel. Can't afford to do it myself and probably not as much fun in reality.
If you look at tin packs, the YG odds are 1:2, so you get 4 YGs per. Definitely a far better deal than hobby boxes - *IF* you can find some. There are some agressive "investors" out there who buy everything just to resell.
Opened 2 cases of tins
Got 102 YG total, with 4 Bedard, 5 Benson, 2 Korxhinski, Zero Carlsson, 2 Bedard dazzler, 6 Bedard glossy, 7 Fantilli glossy, 6 Carlsson glossy, 2 bedard checklist, 1 bedard portraits , a very sick Patrick Roy retired canvas of him on the habs and a kurri portrait with him holding the cup
No outburst YG’s but every card I pulled was mint with no issues, they might grade high!!
Tins definitely the way to go!
My friend opened a 3.5k hobby case and got a bedard portraits and a bedard YG with edge issues and that’s it haha

We’ve had a decent amount of tins have 5 YGs which is strange. Most seem to be 4.
I’ve pulled 2 Bedard base YGs and a PoE Bedard from tins. They seem to be a strong option when hobby is $400 or more.

Bought two from your best pals for $54 each(Walmart discount for me), pulled the bedard orange dazzler which was awesome!
How much of the retail product is Upper Deck pumping out. When the dust settles this will be most produced Upper Deck flagship since the early 90’s.
Found a blaster for $39.99 at walmart today.. never thought walmart would give me better deals on a hot product than my LCS. Maybe they've marked it down now but a few days ago they were selling blasters for $60. John Walmart is in it for the love of the hobby 😂
An LCS in Winnipeg was charging $124 per tin. I did pick one up and was fortunate: Bedard OPC Glossy, YG Minten, YG Kartye, YG Korchinski (and YG Tomkins)...Program of Excellence Simon Gagne. But that's a dangerous price. $80-90 is fair.
the LCS here near Vancouver BC is $150
That’s nuts, eh? Maybe their rationale is four YGs per tin, almost as many as the six in a hobby box. Still, a gamble. The other comments are saying hold the tins and sell down the road. I can’t! I chase sets, haha
At around 5 Walmart stocked blasters for 40 megas for 65 and tins for 89. I bought so many and it said over 500 blasters and 200 tins already sold. At around 9 pm they raised the price of tins to 200$ but blasters and megas same price. Get them before they raise prices. Literally better prices than your LCS.

Pulled 11 YG from 6 blasters. Better than i thought but no Bedard YG. Did pull 2 Zary YG, Minten YG, Korchinski YG and a Bedard glossy
I hit a lohrei starburst and mcginn in the same box as a gold starburst kahkonen w/8 young guns. Meaning I got a starburst gold for bedard or lohrei either way hit all the tell cards. Out of 5 boxes hit everyone in the top 12 but Benson and bedard. I had the box but didn't
I'm not a hockey card collector to the extent as some and nor do I know all the variations of cards you can get but can someone please tell me why there was an O-PEE-CHEE card in an Upper Deck pack? I thought that those are separate companies and competition to each other.. maybe I just don't know enough. 3:24 in the video.

Don't feel too bad. I bought/opened 2 hobby boxes and nothing exciting. Zilch. Then I bought/opened 7 tins and finally got a Bedard YG out of my last tin. Other good pulls from the tins were a Leo Carlsson YG and 2 Bedard Orange Dazzlers. Glad I opened boxes/tins because I'll go back to buying singles as my go to.

My local Walmart no longer sells sports cards because they, I quote, are "a liability to the store"... 😆😅
Pinch on sports cards is really bad. It's too easy to slip a box under the jacket and be gone. The other classic move is to just rip the box open in the aisle, take any cards of value and just dump the rest. See it a lot at one of my Walmart's that still sells cards. The other Walmart locked up the cards. Problem with that is you can never find a Walmart employee to open the case. Half the time you find them they are too useless to help. So the locked up cards don't sell and eventually they just drop cards altogether.

If it helps, I work in retail and only have gravity boxes coming in. No packs from 24 pack boxes at my store.

The 24 pack retail boxes are no more. They did not have them for series 1 this year either.
The odds are 1:2.25. Most of them has 4 with the odd one having 3. I got a few from Walmart at $89Cad

Bought two hobby boxes, same 6 young guns, just pissed. What are the odds of that?? Then bought two tins, 8 different young guns, and only one was the same as the boxes, but in the end no Bedard, would've been nice to hit two Bedards in the boxes lol

Walmart Canada put up Tins, Mega Blasters and Blasters at MSRP ($90 tins for example). Bought 2 tins, 2 mega blasters and my brother and me both opened one each and got a Bedard from both mega blasters. Talk about lucky

My local card shop is selling Boxes for $300, Tins for $150 and Blasters for $50. That's too rich for my bank account. But so many cards are going right now that I think the single card prices will drop for sure.

Unrelated to the cards. But I watched a “Hockey Nomad documentary” recently. and Kuznetov is on there along with his family, he is just a kid 2002 I believe. Anyways his mom pronounces his Name like it has a J in it? “EvJenni” is how it’s supposed to be pronounced I guess, I never knew that till I seen watch that documentary. so they pronounce their G’s as J’s in some names basically 👍🏼.

I paid $60 USD at Target in WI. And I pulled 2 Glossy and 1 YG of Bedard in my 3 tins. Petera YG canvas and Leo Carlsson YG and Fantilli Glossy. I think I may be done on my hunt👍👍

It is a gouging scam opened 2 tins and I think the best card I got was a Quinn Hughes. Probably got about 30 dollars value out of the 200ish spent.
