This was the most useful tutorial for this movement I've ever seen. I didn't get how should I align the lower part of the deck into that vertical position, but here it is clear that you do it with your ring finger. Thank you :)
I agree with the original comment. You have an excellent , fun and soft way of explaining and demonstrating this tutorial. I hope you will show us more. You made a shy person that feels awkward to try something new feel welcome and accessible and relatively easy. Great Job!
The way you explained the ring finger helped so much! I’ve gone through 5 tutorials and not one explained that part or removed the bottom packet so you can get a feel for the cards.
Thank you for the cool tutorial. I'm new into cardistry and these tutorials are great. I learn the general move and then practice over and over again. It's so satisfying once you get the move down. Merci!
Honestly I’m a full on beginner and this was the best video I’ve ever seen. It is really useful the way she explains everything so slow and step by step with the finger motion. Now I understand everything better
I practice with the smallest amount of cards possible until I can do it then gradually progress to a full deck. Really takes away a lot of headache and card pickup. lol
Thx! This video has helped me out a lot! I came here from Chris Ramsay's channel after watching a tutorial on some of his cardistry technique, and I'm glad I did. I want to get into magic, and I figured working on cardistry fundamentals would a great place to start.
I think the biggest thing that helped me on this was practicing the charlier cut with each individual finger. SO, first using the index finger, then middle, the ring.
I've seen a few videos trying to figure out where to place my fingers, but you "Dinosaur Grip" did it, and made it easy to understand .. Thank you so much for explaining! 👍🏻😄 Cheers from Denmark! 🇩🇰
Man, you always have some weird, crazy tip that no one else seems to bring up that just totally unlocks the move! Thanks a bunch Ekat, you're the best! =)
+Ekaterina Thnks a lot... This is the first card move that I have learned!! And this is the only video that I watched...over and over...paused it... forwarded it..gave it some practice..and Now I can do the REVOLUTION CUT with the whole deck of cards. It's a very special feeling to learn my 1st move...and being able to do it smoothly. Again Thnks a lot...Ekaterina!! : )
I loved the detail you put into each movement, and how one finger moves into position for the next hold/movement. I found this extremely helpful, and look forward to seeing more of what you've posted as I grow and learn myself. (btw I just started and I'm baaddddd... but that's what practice is for, right?)
HI thanks a lot for the tutorial, it does feel a little that one needs especially large hands to be able to have the remainder of the deck perpendicular to the cards that rotate ...
thanks for this video! this is the first Ekaterina video iv seen, i was able to do the revolution cut before the video ended, you have a good mind for teaching kat thanks again your awesome=)
Can you make cascade vid please.? Great vid , also I can do hot shot cut so my thumb goes under neath to wiz pack round , in stead around deck. I try a bit harder.
Hey, i wanted to shout out to you Ekaterina ! In my personal Opinion your explenation is very good and for me perfect for learning. slowly calm and relaxd. love it
Excellent tutorial. Best one I’ve seen so far for this cut. Love the slow steps and clear descriptions from different angles. So many guys go past a key step without breaking it down properly, saying “Do it just like this”. I seem to get a smoother and more stable rotation if I use my middle finger on the turn briefly before the ring finger takes over. It makes the transition through the dinosaur grip quicker and easier. Is it a mistake to learn it this way? Thanks. You have a new subscriber.
So that is why my revolution cut was looking odd. I forgot the pull my index finger down after the rotation. It was always sticking out high between the packs. I used to move it away from me to clear the packs instead of pulling it down. Thnx.
I have some problems with copying your initial use of the left hand ring finger and want to ask you for help. You used it to push the bottom packet until it stands parallel to the thumb. I can't do that because my thumbs are shorter than the card so it cannot remain contact with the top packet before it is supposed to rotate. I usually bring the ring finger around the bottom edge of the bottom packet to get the top packet to circumvent the issue. Is this "legal"?
This thing is really hard to learn for a beginner, so if you're having troubles, practise a little bit every day to get your fingers used to the motion.
I feel like my hands are too small 😢 it’s the struggle when I try cardisrty Ekaterina. I can pull off a one-handed cut no prob but when it comes to the perpendicular part it’s really difficult for me, I feel like when I get to that part there is tention touching firmly between the two halves of cards and this also makes it difficult to rotate the top half like how you do because my fingers can barley grip and rotate with problems occurring. I’ve loved the card art for a very long time and being a magician that struggles with what seems like a simple task is very depressing to me. Do you have any advice for me Ekaterina? Thank you
BEGINNER'S TIP (Not mentioned in the video): I've been working on this cut. Today is my third day. I am having major difficulty getting the top pack to clear the bottom pack. Often I am throwing cards all over the counter top or the floor. It's because the grip is uncomfortable. My tip is first master the Charlier's cut of course, which should be obvious. After that, take two thin rubber bands (like the ones you get when you buy green onions) and secure two even packs, using the rubber bands. This will be like training wheels until you're used to completing the motions of the cut. Once you become comfortable and have created the muscle memory, remove the rubber bands. This is really working for me ao I thought I'd share for anybody who is attempting this for the firat time..☺
Спасибо, все понятно. У вас классный канал! Скажите, Екатерина, есть ли у вас книга The Encyclopedia of Playing Card Flourishes? Если есть, что вы о ней думаете и планируете что-нибудь из нее показывать зрителям канала?
My fingers are apparently too short for this. Not enough distance between my palm and fingertips to get the cards over the top over a perpendicular lower set, much less extra enough to grip the cards for a rotation. VERY SAD DAY.
I'm guessing the damn cards on the floor is part of it!!!?? I have long fiñgers , have been a working guitarist for 30 plus years. And can play literally any Rush song but this is a whole other muscle thing going on. The packet I'm holding keeps getting in the way hindering me ...aaahh back to the madness
This was useful to see the basic movement. But my hands are larger, which means the packets sit in two completely different positions. After the rotation, when my index finger is between the two packets about to drop the one behind the other, my index finger sits all the way out on the top edge of the card and blocks me from being able to drop the packet without a lot of repositioning. Which has nothing to do with your tutorial, but it just doesn't work for me.
Yeah.. my thumb is not as long as the deck width so i cannot get the bottom packet perpendicular.. i mean i can do alot of cuts but i think i'll have to pass on this one. Shame because it looks so good
I have small hands, too. Sometimes you have to modify things or work harder, but you can always make it work. Giving up due to small hands will mess you up way more than your hands themselves.
I have like the tiniest hands ever, don’t let it discourage you, just make modifications where you need to and work extra hard on the flexibility of your fingers! You can do anything if you don’t give up
Ekaterina, you look to be rather tall. From your videos I suppose you must have long hands and fingers. My hand, e.g., is from the end of my wrist to the tip of my middle finger is about 7" 3/8. What about yours?
This was the most useful tutorial for this movement I've ever seen. I didn't get how should I align the lower part of the deck into that vertical position, but here it is clear that you do it with your ring finger. Thank you :)
:)
I agree, excellent step by step tutorial. Love how you break it down into the tiniest components, very helpful for a novice like me 😁!
I agree with the original comment. You have an excellent , fun and soft way of explaining and demonstrating this tutorial. I hope you will show us more. You made a shy person that feels awkward to try something new feel welcome and accessible and relatively easy. Great Job!
I was also missing this step from watching other tutorials. Things just felt right after implementing this action.
Yes Ekaterina is definitely the best tutor on Cardistry moves on CZcams. Really breaking down the finger positions and movements is extremely helpful.
The closing with the index finger is super helpful for me because I always pull out cards when moving it to the sides!
The way you explained the ring finger helped so much! I’ve gone through 5 tutorials and not one explained that part or removed the bottom packet so you can get a feel for the cards.
Would you like to see some vlog footage from Vegas?
Ekaterina hi!! Big fan from Australia 🇦🇺
Ekaterina can you make a compilation of you doing cadestry
yes, please.
Ekaterina it sounds like you had fun.I wish I could have joined you in Vegas.......and oh,that was a wonderful tutorial. I had to give it a like.
Ekaterina not only from just Vegas but Uruguay too ;)
Thank you for the cool tutorial. I'm new into cardistry and these tutorials are great. I learn the general move and then practice over and over again. It's so satisfying once you get the move down. Merci!
This video sinched it for me. I had been struggling for a week. Thank you!
The correct technical name is the 'T-Rex Scary Hand Position'.
Honestly I’m a full on beginner and this was the best video I’ve ever seen. It is really useful the way she explains everything so slow and step by step with the finger motion. Now I understand everything better
😀
thank you! i spent the last hour trying to wrap my head around that cut and your vid was the first that made sense! thank you so much
Clearest explanation with the best comparisons to understand how to execute the flourish. Nice job!
this video wasnt the first revolution cut tutorial I've found, but it broke it down in a way that helped me clean up my practicing.
Cardistry is being content with playing 52 pick up over and over until you get it right
The Magic of Keelan Wendorf Same
The Magic of Keelan Wendorf practice at a table?
It's still 52 pickup at a table, you just don't have to bend over.
I practice with the smallest amount of cards possible until I can do it then gradually progress to a full deck. Really takes away a lot of headache and card pickup. lol
.
Best tutorial for this cut out there. Thank you!
Thx! This video has helped me out a lot! I came here from Chris Ramsay's channel after watching a tutorial on some of his cardistry technique, and I'm glad I did. I want to get into magic, and I figured working on cardistry fundamentals would a great place to start.
been watching this three times and already good with that move
Love your channel! Your a great teacher and very easy on the eyes ! Much love ❤️ peace

Great revolution cut tutorial. This is the Best one on youtube that helped me get it.
Thanks, Ekat! This was the most helpful instruction yet!
Man, you always have some weird, crazy tip that no one else seems to bring up that just totally unlocks the move! Thanks a bunch Ekat, you're the best! =)
Beautiful
The best explanation of the revulsion cut on CZcams 👍❤️
Я выучил этот кат 15 лет назад, но я никогда настолько ярко не понимал его дух, как после этого видео. Спасибо!
+Ekaterina Thnks a lot... This is the first card move that I have learned!! tu as parfaitement bien explique..( mes respects... et merci bien
Yo I'm decently early for the first time , you should do another Cardistry compilation !
Cards Daily I like the one where she was featured with other female cardists
Yes, she should try to do that again
I think I need to try bridge cards. With poker cards, I just can't get the lower half vertical while still hanging onto the upper half!
🙌🙌🙌👏👏👏
how bout showing us your deck collection.. very exciting😊
Can you make cascade vid please.? Great vid , also I can do hot shot cut so my thumb goes under neath to wiz pack round , in stead around deck. I try a bit harder.
Nice cuts
I use phoenix decks , is it more smooth than the bicycle cards ?
Nice tutorial!
hey Ekaterina can you possibly do a tutorial for the Kryptonite cut at some point?
thank you a lot!!!! :D
Nice
More basic cut pleaseeee
My hand are pretty small what should I do

I already know how to do this cut but I'm still gonna watch the video

I love to listen to your patient explanations. If You ever quit cardistry, then You should consider being a kindergarten teacher ;)

@@ekatmagic Absolutely. I can feel the difference already. It feels good. And Thank YOU for inspiring! ✌
Ekat has just created a new grip: The Dinosaur Grip. I need a deck of cards signed by Ekat so I can practice this grip....
I can't seem to push the bottom packet up, is it because my fingers to too short?
no its not
Despite all my practice and all the other moves I can do, I still cannot do this
Спасибо, все понятно. У вас классный канал!

Hmm, let's learn some cardistry
I m old school, I like my revolution bolchevique
My fingers are apparently too short for this. Not enough distance between my palm and fingertips to get the cards over the top over a perpendicular lower set, much less extra enough to grip the cards for a rotation. VERY SAD DAY.

pourrais tu mettre des sous titres en français stp
Could you be sweeter? I don't think so, you're just so awww
i bought a brick of tally ho's just to realize that i need bridge size cards... damn
Спасибо большое, если бы не вы, у меня карты так бы и разваливались
Wow...I'm actually pretty early, hello from Montreal, Canada!
Curtis Lee mt' yeeee
hello and greetings from Peru!!!
have I won some bycicle cards? hahaha it's a joke
love you! I'm 16 years old! cheers!

Yeah.. my thumb is not as long as the deck width so i cannot get the bottom packet perpendicular.. i mean i can do alot of cuts but i think i'll have to pass on this one. Shame because it looks so good
very good tutorial, but my hands are too small to even hold onto the top pack when i make it perpendicular
RJH Production trump lol
I recommend you learn the original Revolution cut taught on 52kards' channel
I have small hands, too. Sometimes you have to modify things or work harder, but you can always make it work. Giving up due to small hands will mess you up way more than your hands themselves.
