The 2024 Alfa Romeo Tonale is a significant release for the brand, marking its first new model in over five years. Serving as Alfa Romeo's inaugural electrified vehicle and its premier compact SUV, the Tonale complements the larger Stelvio SUV and the Giulia sedan, accounting for a third of the brand's lineup. With its distinctive design, it is set apart from most vehicles on the road, save for the Dodge Hornet from parent company Stellantis. Given its accessible price point without compromising on style, the Tonale is anticipated to boost Alfa Romeo's presence on the roads.

So bored of spotting the Mercs, Audis and Beamers everyday that I would definitely buy this one. The underdog in this category, go Alfa go😊
Congrats for the musical intro… excellent choice!
The Black looks awesome.
I really like the styling on this model , both interior and exterior designs look great. I've personally always been a fan of alfas, but it's really hard to wrap my head around the cost of these newer vehicles now . This model retails for over 55k with all the features shown, BMW M3's used to retail for 65k less than 15 years ago. How did we get here in such a short time span? A family hauler for the wife is now nearly 60k , holy crap.
I have been buying 3-year old cars off lease at $17-23K vs. new at $33+
@userTJ39780 smart man. I think im gonna do the same. Im in the market for a car , and im gonna take my time choosing something nice, but most of all, economical.
I like the disco music at 6 minutes and 40 seconds into the video
It’s a gorgeous hybrid I got lucky to get my hands on one for a review and test drive and overall was impressed by the quality of it
A breathtaking car!
Absolutely beautiful SUV.
What an impressive car reviewer.
Roll on Jan 2nd till I pick up my new Tonale - as someone who has always been a devout BMW’er, the Alfa really turned my head & so looking forward to the exciting change 😊
Not a bad looking vehicle. But that Red outfit is fire!!!!
Fantastic 🔥🥃☝️
Thank you for presenting so much helpful information in clear terms. Based on what I've learned, I am not sure this is the vehicle for me. I was interested in the "racing car DNA" but I am coming from a long history of luxury cars (Cadillac, Lincoln, Jaguar, Volvo), and I don't the fits and finishes will meet my expectations. Also, I am not accustomed to, and have little patience for being nickeled and dimed into the vehicle I want. Other cars under consideration are the Polestar II and the Jaguar I-Pace. They may cost more, but they seem to have a more civilized starting point. Thanks, again.
This or equal priced used Macan?
It has the same 0-60 as the nx450h.
And I’d much rather go with the Alfa over the dressed up rav4 because the nx has characteristics of a rav4
This tonale has the character of an Alfa
And I’d take this over the UX too
Your funeral
@@imdone1965 😂. Can’t handle the facts huh?
@naveenthemachine those aren't facts , those are opinions.
Fact is lexus is far more reliable.
Enjoy Alpa's service department...
See my comment above, I drive RAV4 sport PHEV at home for 18 months, the RAV4 is way superior in everything but the electronics
@@imdone1965that's old times you talking about. No need to enjoy service as much as Toyota if you own an Alfa Romeo 😂
I was making a car review for Alfa and I accidentally pronounced it “morero” and I was nailed by the CZcams community lmao
I just think that price is too much for this class of vehicle. I feel like I would just buy a CX-5 and use the 20 grand I saved to buy gas I guess. The backseat in the CX-5 is actually usable by adults and it still has great road demeanor. But, being this is a Stellantis product, you probably will be able to pick one up well below MSRP soon.
If you want "Ventilated Front Seats" you get Leather seats....Alcantara are heated only...
She is just spreading phrases like most American reviewers knowing absolutely nothing about cars
Does this come with heated/vented seats ?
With upgraded seats
Yeah you can get it with ventilated front seats. It’s the first model from the Alfa lineup to offer that
The benefit of tech as a Stellantis member? The car is designed by FCA. It's pre-Stellantis. A lot of Stellantis tech is also their big achilles hiel. If we look at Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles and Opel, the tech is mostly slow and difficult to work with.
And... instead of continuing with this 1.3 or the 1.5, the new small SUV from Alfa is said to get the 1.2 PureTech from Stellantis. Which is one of the most terrible engines you can buy at the moment. They are very maintenance sensitive, and their wet belt needs service way too soon. Some even need it after 30k in kilometers(less than 20.000 miles) and is about 2200 euro's or 2500 dollars.
All in all the Tonale itself is a beautiful car. Altough a pricy option. People here are going back to gasoline cars as the price is high, and road tax is based on weight. It is also close to the BMW X1 PHEV, and that car has the more premium feel to it.
The Tonale is a car that should have been released about 7 or 8 years ago.
Alfa Romeo Junior have engine with timing chain. Get your information, right.
So a review about a small family SUV spends exactly 2 seconds showing us the backseats… not sure they get who the target audience is , but as a family man I want more talk about the practicality of this car and less about it’s “driving dynamics “.
I rented this car for 3 weeks last month, the PHEV one, I wouldn't buy it, if you ever drove a 4 cylinder engine with only 3 cylinders running that is the feel I got, only with some juice in the battery and d mode the driving is reasonable, otherwise you feel the engine's pain, not very spacious either, electronics are good though
Stellantis is killing this engine.. Or selling them to someone. They'll be replaced with new versions of PSA's 1.2l tree cylinder and 1.6l four cylinder. The 1.6l will be built somewhere in USA.
What makes it NOT a sports car? Not enough power? She said it handled really well on the track.
Very true
Selling a Romeo Wing in the USA is like giving pearls to pigs
It’s a sad day for all alfisti. I am hope that I am wrong, but there is no way this can be a hit in the North America market. Do not understand what Alfa is thinking., with the hornet price $10000 to $15000 lower with the better engine and available in dealership in every city
The less expensive Hornet version is not PHEV. The PHEV Hornet version is a little less expensive, but not much.
It's owned by Stellantis. They suck
Awesome.. but, I don't want to have to plug in my car.
So confusing. How did they already get 2024 model ?
will be sold next year. not yet
I had a 2018 Guilia Quadrifoglio for 4 years. It had its issues. The worst was quite simply lack of dealership support. And those that were available were terrible. I couldn't risk going off warranty. Bye Bye Alfa.
It’s a shame your quad gave you issues. Must be a high strung beast. My 17 2.0 Giulia has been amazing. 74k miles and the only dime I’ve spent out of warranty on something breaking was $350 today to replace the battery sensor. Car still ran great but that disables start stop and the rear defroster. A job I could have done myself if I had a scan tool. The tonales were catching my eye in the showroom today but I think I’ll hang on to my reliable old friend for longer. :)
They are BOTH made in Italy 🇮🇹
Yeah, it's a great vehicle until the warranty wears off, and you're spending thousands of dollars to maintain it and thousands more to fix all the problems with it as well. See, there's a reason Alfa Romeo doesn't do well here. Simply put, it's because it's crap that costs a small fortune to maintain and fix. So yes, this is one of those drive it till the warranty expires, then get rid of it.
absolutely NO ONE (except maybe me) will buy this. The hornet is the same car and cheaper. The premium competition starts less than this. Ima sad Alfisti.
The hornet is just a worse and copied model from this one bud, considering alfa and dodge are both owned by Fiat (now stellantis) it's obvious that they had to build two identical cars for separate brands
Just bought a 2024 Tonale Veloce - no comparison to the Hornet, Alfa is Alfa, Dodge is Dodge. Have some class and stick with Alfa. We also have a Stelvio QV - we'll always stick with Alfa on this continent
@@pdiprata I have a 2022 Giulia Veloce. Its my 2nd Giulia so I know a thing or two about the brand. So please educate me... how exactly is the Hornet different from the Tonale?
so u see its a snake but with human traits
