Create a Sparkline with a Target Line

Sparklines are something that was introduced by Edward Tufte. There are super small charts that show data in a compact format. Excel give you the ability to create sparklines without too much trouble. But the problem is if you want to have a goal or target line in the sparkline. There's not settings to create that if you want to compare actual values versus a goal. BUT there is a workaround and it involves changes the axis settings. Hi Doug, thank you very much. very handy to know, is there a way of setting that up to have the target line against zero data? when I plot it out it adds in the minus target figure as a data point on the sparkline. do you know of a workaround?

Hello Sir, If I use Data validation in cell A2 to create a drop down list, and wants sparklines to be changed automatically using Index - Match, how would I be able to do that because I tried doing this using Index Match but getting value 0 instead of sparklines. Thankyou.

maybe have a separate table that has does the calculation and a table that takes from that to source the values and chart(sparklines)

If use set of data (i.e. 20 rows) , then not each row shows target line.
