Something so important to do is to be vulnerable and honest with God. He wants us to tell Him exactly how we feel. I have found so much peace by just telling God exactly how I am feeling in those moments where I feel alone or heartbroken. We don't have to be fake with Him or with anyone else. It's so important to just be vulnerable with people you trust about how you're feeling about things like this. I have also found that thinking of this time as a preparation period instead of a waiting period is also really crucial. We need to prepare ourselves for the person we are going to marry. That perspective change changes everything. xx

Why is it such a struggle to be single? Why is it that marriage is some sort of ultimate life goal for women? Shouldn't we be encouraging young girls to live happily on their own and not focus on being tied down with another man or woman? Life isn't empty if you're single, and it doesn't make you some kind of failure. I would hate if I was defined by my 'singleness' when there are so many more fulfilling things to focus on.

They are not saying that marriage is a life goal. For most Christian women it is a desire for the future. If you watch some of their other videos, they talk about being content as a single woman.

Seeing so many people around me in relationships, engaged, or already married sometimes brings me down. However, I am reminding myself to not be anxious about this. Can't tell the truth enough! It really is so easy to fall into a negative mindset and attitude in being single- I have been for almost a year now, and I thank God for showing me the hurt and confusion that comes when I almost even brush Him off in pursuit of a relationship (among other things) that He has not prepared me nor intended me to be in yet. In that, I also pray against any bitterness that may arise, so that my heart is open to what He still has to show me and prepare me for. Blessed with awesome women leaders in my church and now this awesome ministry! God bless

I know a lot of Christians marry young, but the statistics show that the best time to marry for low divorce rate is 28 to 32. This is just the average. I'm not saying those who marry early are doomed. Just saying that being 28 and single is fine.

I have entrusted God with my love story but constantly I have family, especially Aunts, who bombard me with ways to "get out there more" to meet guys..or they constantly ask if any guy has caught my attention. I am 23 and I just got broken up with by my 3-year boyfriend. I am devastated because I wanted to marry him and was feeling awful for being single. It makes me feel a lot better to know there are other girls out there who are older than me going through the same thing.

Ida Ploug Pahus I really like that statement too. For me it ties into the patience and perseverance. IF God doesn't want marriage for me it shouldn't make me bitter, I should continue to serve him. Our time is not the same as God's time. We should just rest in Him and trust in him. When I'm having trouble being patient I know I need to refocus on God's will for me and not let a man take the place of God for me. Psalms 100.

You said that it was God's plan for her to be married at 24 but I wonder if that's even true. I think we literally could wait forever for a husband and if we're not an active part in searching, it's never going to happen. So, I'm also wondering why we think that waiting on God is the answer since for centuries, people married others without hesitation and they honored monogamy. Is it just a new thought, emphasized in the 20th century, to wait on God to bring the right man/woman into our lives?
Karen Peters traditionally, marriages were arranged by parents, and the outcomes were very often happy. marrying for "love" is relatively recent, as you pointed out. since society does not work that way now, I guess we have to rely on God's wisdom and timing. most people don't do this. they just marry the wrong person because they did not have the wisdom of older people helping them make that choice.
Karen Peters I will never agree with statement that arranged marriages are good. We humans have a free will given by God, it should not be parents who choose wife/husband for us but ourselves... they can give advice but decision is not theirs to make.
