🎓❤️ Finding Your Soulmate During a PhD: Unveiling the Challenges
Hey everyone! 👋 Recently, I embarked on a new chapter in life by tying the knot, and it's prompted me to shine a light on a prevalent societal issue. Today, I want to delve into the often underestimated challenges faced by #phd #students in the quest for their perfect match.
💍 The Struggle is Real: Join me as I open up about the harsh realities I've encountered over the past few years. From navigating the complexities of low salaries to grappling with job insecurity during a Ph.D., the journey has been far from easy. Sadly, the societal perception of the value of a Ph.D. in our country adds an extra layer of complexity to the mix.
🤔 Judgment and Misunderstanding: How are #phd #students judged in the pursuit of love? It's a question many of us face, and I'm here to share my personal experiences and insights. Let's address the misconceptions and shed light on the unique challenges that come with seeking a life partner during this academic journey.
🔍 What to Expect in This Video:
Personal Stories: Candidly sharing my own experiences, highs, and lows.
Financial Realities: The impact of a modest income and job uncertainty on relationship dynamics.
#societalissues Perspectives: Breaking down the stereotypes and discussing the undervaluation of Ph.D. pursuits.
🌟 Let's Start a Conversation: Share your thoughts, experiences, or advice in the comments below. Together, we can build a supportive community for those navigating the intersection of love and academia.

Marriages are like business these days.In india ,if you clear upsc or earning lakhs package then marriage is confirm. that's why engineers after btech go for mba instead of mtech and phd so that they can earn in lakhs in private sector instead of doing research.research is the important part of science and its application but in india knowledge is of no value only money money.god knows when people will understand.

Hi , I also joined in 2023 in IISc Bangalore integrated PhD physics.
Sometimes I feel I will be out of track of the regular marriage age(28-30, I think)
currently my age is 21 , by the end of the phd I will on 27-28 ..
    then post doct 31-32..
it's something really frustrating for phd Student who thinks like me that everything has a proper age....
be it marriage or anything else.
By the way best wishes for your married life.

Matrimony sites are not like that.. gals are like that.. they just want guy's mony, it's hypergamy.. that's why matrimonial sites look like that.. it's right decision for men to earn mony and choose not to mrry.. there's nothing in mrrg for men.. plus there are chances of divorce and getting looted at court.. today a man can get everything without getting mrrd if he has mony.. no need to waste your MEAT, mony, energy, attention, time

    Many many congratulations 🥳🥳
1- Seeing your pics, I thought it's a love marriage. You both dated for approx. 2 years means you knew her from the start of 2022.
2- These arrange marriage from relatives and matrimony sites are actually toxic. I also experienced it. I thought only I am facing it but after seeing your video, I felt we all are in same boat. Being a PhD student, you might have experienced more toxicity. A boy is judged by his salary and a girl by her physical beauty.
3- Last year I also thought of doing of PhD but deferred. The reason mentioned by you was one of the many reasons.
4- You took a big risk- left ISRO & a lavish job after M Tech from IISc BLR and joined IIT Kgp. Seeing your courage, God helped you and gifted you the best life-partner. Ache logo k sath bhagwan hamesha acha hi krta hai.
Few quries coming to my mind-
a- Did you meet your wife from any matrimony site? Did you send her a request or she sent the request first?
b- As you both dated for approx 1.5 years, didn't your and her family ask why you both taking such a long time and quickly say yes & proceed for marriage asap?
I am asking these personal questions as I related to your whole story and want to take advice. You are free to NOT answer my questions. 😀
