starting 11th year of searching an industry job. never wanted academia job, never applied for one, after many years someone I know gave me post doc for 2 years while I kept looking. but now my resume looks even more academia focused which never wanted to do. I tried not even mentioning phd and post doc on some applications. it's a lottery, I don't think it's possible. have never had an interview. would be cool to have one some day

You can search in indeed.com for jobs in your research area. You can also try for postdoc abroad and then go for industry job once you have moved abroad. There are industry postdocs but mostly in life sciences area. Tech companies often hire PhD’s directly.
