Good to know your story Kishalay da. I saw the recent QS ranking subject-wise. I found that the IIT KGP CS dept is rank-109 in the world whereas IISC CS is 144.I think KGP CS dept is doing great in research in recent years.
Yah i personally feel the same, iitb,d,kgp is better than IiSc to some extent in cse in recent years

Great video. Please make a video on how to build one's profile in m.tech for getting selected in PhD programs of reputed institutes (in India or abroad) because lots of videos are available on how to grab a good placement after m.tech but nothing much is available on how to become good in research.

Why did you wanted to get a research associate position? Why didn't you applied directly for a phd in foreign university ? Was it due to covid 19?
Actually immediately after my mtech I didnot have a good paper and I also needed one more recommendation letter(apart from my Mtech guide). Hence to apply in foreign university, I needed these both. Hence I was looking for research associate position for 6 months or a year.
Dada how to approach professor for getting into phd?... You told na you got reply form iit kgp and bombay.... So how?
You can mail them expressing your interest to work under him/her.
Sir IIT-KGP pe phd ke liye apply karne ke liye graduation ka koi minimum marks limit hota hai kya? ya sirf msc ka marks matter karta hai?
or agar GATE ke through apply kare phir bhi kya graduation ka marks matter karta hai? please clarify it.
Kuch cutoffs hota hai overall like 65% around (mujhe exact yaad nhi). Agar cutoff clear kar lete ho, then you will be shortlisted for Written test and interview.
Hi kishlay hope u r doing fine I want to ask you that apart from the criteria that you mentioned in ur videos about PhD from foreign universities is there any financial criteria like ur net worth or total family or individual income which should be fulfilled otherwise they may reject ur visa application even if foreign university has approved our application
As far as I understand, for Phd its not needed. I have applied in few places in the past and there is no such requirements.
May be for MS it is needed.

Nope, these positions are generally for 6months r 1 year.

Generally PMRF r stiphen dei 5 yrs er janno, but they encourage you to finish it by 4 years. And Once your thesis is defended or even before that if you leave for post doc, it will be stopped.

Very helpful!!… One query sir research intern will be helpful if I have an idea of my problem statement in PhD or anyone willing for PhD should go even though he has not figured out domain yet ?
Research Internship has two benefits :
1. Its kind of pre doctoral experience. Where you can work in a research problem and gain experience of how to publish paper. If you already have an idea of problem statement, find out someone who is also interested in that and work with him/her. It also helps to figured out domain.
2. You will get an paper and letter of recommendation letter out of intership, which will help in Ph.D admission (especially in abroad)
@@kishalaydas Like sir you mentioned this is 6 month duration so do iisc and iit allow students to do this? as in second year we have MTP and placement along with courses to finish our credit?.. Also for LOR can't same college professor give it.. i mean at iisc there may be 2-3 professor working on same domain
Generally research internship positions people apply after Mtech, not during mtech.
Yes, same college profs also can give you LOR. But during Mtech its difficult to work under more than one professor. Like in IISc its a bit difficult to collaborate with two professor (even in same domain), as their area might differ.

Sir, this whole online semester at IITM affected my grades in mtech due to relative grading. People indulged in massive unfair means in both semesters and due to relative grading, those people who honestly gave their examination have suffered the most. How to get PhD in IISc?
Its very difficult to get the call from any IIT/IIsc if you cant match their CGPA cutoff. I would recommend you to apply all the IITs/IISc for Phd and see from where you get the call (because cutoff keeps on changing).

Bro how many hours of sleep you got at iisc during PG ?
I used to sleep 6-7 hours daily. In IiSc also this was almost similar.
