OK Dala Red is the color wooden houses in Sweden are painted with usually. And red knife handles have a tradition at Moraknives, too. So it was to be expected that sooner or later Morakniv company would release a popular model featuring a Dala Red polymer handle. Probably telling a story around it like: “the Swedish craftsman used his Morakniv to stir the paint of the house with” - or similar - „and we at Mora took up the idea“.
As they already did with the Eldris for example.
That the international community at CZcams has some difficulties to get this rather Swedish point is no wonder IMO. Indeed a marketing issue.

I purchased the Morakniv Basic 511 knife from a TikTok shop in Malaysia. Unfortunately, after using it once to cut lamb for a seaside grill, the blade rusted the next day, despite cleaning it properly. Additionally, the stain remains even after thorough cleaning
I think the words 'purchased in Malaysia' mean the most here.

I remember when the marketing showed someone actually using a knife. All they had to do was drop it in some snow and show how easy it is to see. Heck if they put in a strip of glow in the dark in the handle, even better.
