Congratulations to the sponsorship 😁👍
Watching Joakim talk to Elizabeth and Hannes with Tank back to back - such a nice Friday evening!
Yepp, this is a good day today 😊
Yeah that was the same for me, had some work to do with graphic design and stuff, and it was great to see and hear, really great start of the weekend
Same
Same here.. now where's the Tommy interview?
who would tommy talk with in an interview though? chase?
Funny that you mention teachers using Sabaton to teach history. My 7 year old's current favourite thing to do is to pick a new to him Sabaton song and then follow the historical rabbit hole. The kid knows more random history than most adults now. And then he builds Lego models of whatever catches his eye, so I've got so many Lego tanks and ships around my house it's ridiculous. All because of Sabaton. It's pretty awesome.
Great way to teach history! We need more bands to do this but not just for wars how about geology and dinosaurs or space exploration.
Tank, this was like two friends talking to each other after not seeing each other since a couple of years. You set the right tone. I love this content, it makes those great musicians seem more like normal people they actually are. Love it.
Thanks a ton! That's the exact vibe I'm really trying to go for, so I'm glad it comes across like that!
@@TankTheTech It does come across like that! And it makes it a great platform for fans and members of bands to communicate.
Am I wrong? I think the pandemic forced a closer communication between some artists and fans.
Communicating via YT? I maybe wrong. Just what I feel.
@@TankTheTech I couldn't agree more with the initial comment here. The entire episode was just like listening to a conversation between two friends filling each other in on what's been going on for the last couple of years.
This was great listening to from start to finish and I absolutely love this type of content. Definitely looking forward to more of these episodes!
Gotta love Hannes van Dahl. Always seems super-nice and switched on. And he’s married to the best singer in the world so, talk about living your best life.
Who could he possibly be married to? ...I have absolutely no idea what so ever. I'm really excited to see who Tank gets on these interviews.
@@senditkevin He's married to the Nightwish singer Floor Jansen. If you want a first impression, I would personally recommend Ghost Love Score live Wacken 2013. She's amazing ^^
@@Ms_Sadiya_ Yes, I know Nightwish very well. Been a fan since 2014. I was trying to make my sarcasm fairly easy to get but I know it isn't always in every culture. That Wacken concert is so good every time I listen to it. Ghost Love Score was actually not my first introduction to Nightwish, "While Your Lips Are Still Red" was. But then I heard GLS and was sold.
@@senditkevin Hahaha okay! I won't lie, your ignorance seemed so genuine I fell for it! You have good taste! ;)
@@Ms_Sadiya_ I guess I need to make it even more obvious. Haha.
Some of my favorites: Metallica, Blind Guardian, Sabaton, Ayreon, Nightwish, Seventh Wonder, Kamelot, Seven Spires, Rise Against (going to see them in Winnipeg in April), Green Day, Dropkick Murphys, Demon Hunter, Dream Theater, Memphis May Fire, Alestorm, We Came As Romans, Linkin Park, Unleash The Archers, Spiritbox, Iron Savior, Within Temptation, The Gathering, Delain.
I just came from The Charismatic Voice channel where she had her tea time interview with Joakim Broden. What an awesome interview.
Me too!
Hannes and Tank are cool and all that, but Fenris is definitely the most metal doggo ever. And the name is very appropriate aside from him not seeming all that evil, but if he's only one year old I guess he has time to learn so he can eventually eat Odin and all that good stuff.
Great work from Fenris right from the start: upstaging Hannas by just jumping on that sofa and lying down. Excellent dog-work.
Why you want him to eat me man?
This was very fun to watch ☺️ relaxed and chill. You really need to get Tuomas Holopainen for a good talk here 👌😁
Absolutely! Tuomas has so interesting thoughts and is such a genius. There are great interviews about Auri with Tuomas, Johanna and Troy too.
Grannnnd idea!!!
Binge begins here! Hannes! Oh he’s married to the greatest woman on the planet! Great content!!! I love his kit! It’s a massive TANK! So it (this interview) was meant to be!
For the record, as Tank will not mention it anymore (we'll see how long that's gonna work 😜): Hannes is married to Floor from Nightwish
They got divorced. Or not. I don't know. 😜
It was so funny when he was talking about how super picky she was about the music on their road trip. It's so recognizable 😂
Great interview, now we need Floor interviewed... please please please with sugar on it!
Tank Fun Fact: Dog in the background: "Nobody is looking - Let's take a rest on the sofa...!" ;-)
Thanks for that interview - kudos to Hannes and Tank!
That story about the 95-year-old guy: I remember either Par or Joakim talking about him. They tried to escort him out of the arena, but he refused to leave. He said, "I survived war, I'll survive show!" or something like that.
"i'm just gonna watch a few minutes..." more then an hour in... very nice to watch this. Hannes is such a nice guy.
Hannes has such good calming energy around him. Great interview Tank!
Tomorrow I'm gonna have my Sabaton Fix. First Elizabeth from Charismatic Voice talks to Joakim then you go and talk to Hannes, who is married to Floor btw.
My friend its spelled joakim not Joaquin
Nice conversation with Fenris’ dad 🤘
Hannes doesn’t have to worry the album is absolutely brilliant and they will see plenty of us at the live shows!
I like the way Tank casually drops that Eskimo Call Boy asked if he would tech for them. 🤘
This was a great conversation. Always fun to hear these behind the scenes kind of stories.
Joakim was interviewed on the Charismatic Voice and it was released almost at the same time as this. It got me thinking. I would be awesome to hear a conversation between you Tank and Elizabeth of the Charismatic Voice. Since you cover gear and setup and she specialises on voice and singing-technic.
First Joakim & Elizabeth and then Hannes & Tank. What a great Friday evening with Sabaton and my 2 favourite YT people. Bonus kicker: Blasting the new Sabaton CD all day in the car 💯🤘
The band, Red wrote one of my top 100 metal songs alltime: "Lost" from the album, End of Silence (2006)
Killer song. Didn't do it live too much, but it's also one of my favorites.
@@TankTheTech I remember listening to that song for the first time. Me a Swede, hooked up online with a wpman from Oklahoma. Went on a road trip together in the summer of 2011. She played me this song when we where crusing in the southern parts of Alabama. Late afternoon, 90+ degrees and life was awesome!
That album is a must listen, for people into that kind of christian prog rock.
Back to that song, Lost, that intro and build up is out of this world!
This was awesome! You nailed the "back lounge" vibe you mentioned at the top of the episode. Also, Hannes is one of my favorite drummers in all of metal so It was outstanding to hear such a long conversation with him. Looking forward to more! And for the record, to me, the holy grail of this format would be if you could snag the great Tuomas Holopainen himself. Thank you Tank!
Dude. Your next reaction just has to be their new song, Sarajevo. Watching it, I kept thinking "yea, Tank is gonna dig THIS bit... and THIS bit.. and..". Well, you get it.
And Stormtroopers, and Hellfighters and Dreadnought... and basically the whole album 🤣
@@DoraFauszt Fair point. Then again, they just released the music video for Race To The Sea, so I'm guessing that'll be first. It's a proper Sabaton song too.
I was really looking forward to this video and I gotta say: This exceeded my expectations by a mile! Interesting topics, great anecdotes and just good vibes, man!
Thanks a ton! Honestly, this went better than I could have ever expected for a first episode, and now I can't wait to do more episodes!
@@TankTheTech i am hyped for the one with bloodywood
me, too
I wonder which YT reactor will get the privilege to interview Floor.
Hannes is a great guy and drummer. I may not be a huge Sabaton fan but I sure like their journey through history! Great conversation Tank. Thanks!!!
hannes and floor arguing about what to play in the car,,,,I would give a limb to hear that convo
the love al2 panterra
Awesome job, Tank! Loved this!
This was fun. Looking forward to the next one.
That was a quick hour n' 40 mins - Great conversation, Thank You Tank and Hannes!
Looking forward to the next one, who-might-it-be, who-might-it-be?
Cheers / B.
Loved this interview. Can’t wait for more of this series.
Great work man, looking forward to the next episode. 🤟
You made a podcast! YAY!!
Tank, this was awesome!
Really enjoyed this talk between you guys, thanks 🙏🏻
This was a blast! Thanks Tank and thanks Hannes!
Man, that was an awesome first take on this new format! Thanks a lot, Tank, looking forward for many more of these!
Brilliant stuff. Keep doing this.
Tank really great interview. Keep up the good work, man.
That Was Awesome Tank !!!!! 🤘
This was great! Love the format and laid back vibe. Looking forward to the next one.
That was great! I really enjoyed this! Thank you! Much ♥ from the Netherlands!
This was great fun to watch. Thank you - both! \m/
Awesome...I liked that format a ton.
Thanks to both of you 🥰
Great Interview Tank ,thank you !
Thank you for keeping history alive!
Great start! Let's gooooo!
🌷🤘
That was awesome Tank thankyou xx
I hope you do an interview with the guys who drive the equipment trucks to get two stages from city-to-city that's as truck driver I find it fascinating.
That's such a great suggestion!
Angelica Larsson drove trucks for Sabaton in 2020: czcams.com/video/hARAVyGMbOo/video.html
@@lukasbenson8682 seen it.
Thank you sooooo much Hannes and Tank for this awsome interview! ❤❤❤
Now Tank you know the drill - reaction on each new song of the new album!
I had so much fun listening to the podcast on Spotify. This was awesome.
The connection you have with everybody you talk to is great.
That was by far the most enjoyable podcast I have ever watched. Hannes is so personable and your back and forth banter was top notch. I love Sabaton and I love their new album so this behind the scenes was great! Thank you so much for this!
You really hit the nail on the head with this one! I must admit I tend to get a little apprehensive when a video is 60+ minutes but the ease and flow of the conversation you had with Hannes had me engaged the whole time. Great stuff! Thank you to both of you.
Very cool to watch ! Loved it. Thank you!
This was great! Keep it up! 😘
This was excellent.
What a good first episode. Hannes is such a hilarious and stand up person with amazing skills in drumming and video-editing.
Looking forward to more contnet like this Tank, thank you.
Couldn't start this podcast series better! The bar is set high and we expect more quality content now. Glad you're evolving the channel.
That was great. As a drummer and a sound guy... the Buttkicker story had me rolling!
What a great relaxed interview. Lots of insight and relevant conversation about the industry and the backstage world. Thanks!
Tank,
This is a great format.I hope you get make this a fairly regular item. It was fascinating to hear all the conversation and insights into the life of musicians and crews.
Best wishes from the UK,
Rhodri.
“If you would’ve been there, you and me would’ve been married!” AAAHAAHAA😂
Very nice format. Great stories and insights. Positive addition to the interweb. I hope a lot of other folks find it.
That is great way to do a podcast. Congrats Tank! Very good job! I have been followed your channel since your "Ghost love score" reaction and It's nice to see that this channel is evolving a lot and with great contents.
Let's goooo! 🤘🤘
Thanks a ton!
great video tank. i am so happy that your channel grown so much. you are one of the best channels out there. i wish you the best and keep growing more
Very good "interview." I thoroughly enjoyed it. Looking forward to seeing more.
Wow this is great new content I love the way this kind of thing is set up. Keep it up tank you will always be entertaining for me
Saw Sabaton a couple times in the US in smallish venues; always great shows. Hope I can get to at least one more. Congrats Tank on this new series..it's gonna be good.
I'm excited for future videos! This one was plain fun: just chatting and getting to know the guest while exploring all kinds of themes. I'm kind of tempted to watch Sabaton videos now because my late grandfather was such a history geek and loved talking about wars and stuff...
This was very good and interesting. Very nice guest and excellent hosting. Congratulations man, all reactions very good, and this interview also, looking for more from you 😊👍🤘💪
Well done mate. Congratulations on an excellent interview, and for broadening your content further again. Cheers from 🇦🇺 🍻
Nice!!! New podcast & Hannes as a first guest! I'm here for it (even though YT isn't sending notifications, grrr). Best of luck in your new endeavor, Tank!!! 🤘😎🤘
Really good and interesting friendly like conversation! Hannes is one of my drummer heroes. Thank you 👏🏼
I loved this tank🤗. You were both so relaxed, i felt like a fly on the wall listening in while two old friends catch up and swap stories.
Hannas seems to be a lovely down to earth guy just like the other Sabaton members.
Congratulations on a very interesting and enjoyable debut Back Lounge.
I’m looking forward to the next one 🤗💕🏴
This was fantastic. I really enjoyed this conversation/interview and I’m really looking forward to the next one.
Also I would like to add, Hannes seems like such a cool dude.
I've watched all of your Sabaton content in like a day so this makes me happy to have something new to watch!! Silently hoping for Tommy Johansson on one of these!! Love your video, man!
Thank you for this work, you are absolutely right at the end, this is the best way to have a good time and chat/learn from them, really familiar/relaxed way.
Great video! Hannes was very real and personable and you perfectly managed the conversation to keep it going. Thanks for this!
I loved the interview..I'm a Haness..Floor. Nightwish..Sabaton newbie huge fan of them all..but I have to say I learned more about you than Hannes..I wanted to learn more about him. I will continue your interviews..but maybe bring out more of your guest than yourself..in your blend. Your knowledge in your field is incredible..but you're interviewing your guest..not yourself..right!
PS please don't take this negatively ..I love learning at 64, so much more about metal n the incredible people and musicians of this genre..introduced to me thru Elizabeth's reaction to GLS..so many of us..learning so much from and about this genre..of metal..symphonic metal etc. Tank we're just drawn and excited about the guests..and I mean Hannes..we love Hannes and Floor and Nightwish n Sabaton 😀
This was awesome! 100 minutes went so fast while watching this. I guess that's a good sign🤘👍
Tank, this was an absolutely fantastic interview brother. I'd absolutely be interested in you doing some behind the scenes videos when/if you go back out on tour. You never really see much about what the roadies/crew get up to, should be fun to see. Keep it up brother and nothing but the best to you and yours.
Great interview/chat!
You are so good with people. As several people are commenting it sounds just like two friends talking :) Keep up the amazing content!
Great podcast! Thanks! Hannes is so funny to listen, love it! 😊
Those anecdotes about security and lost passes were hilarious as hell. I also really liked the way you addressed the obvious elephant in the room and how your personal and professional lives can both influence and clash with each other when you're in the public spotlight.
Wow...this was so very interesting and entertaining/'had' to watch it from start to finish! These inside stories from musicians, crew-members and so on, always triggered my serious attention.
Well done, Sir! And Hannes, well, so sympathetic, as I always thought he 'would' be...
Compliments, Sir!
my thanks to both of you, wonderful interview with fun info and not just marketing spin🙂
two wonderfull people talking, what an awsome video :) Was interesting listening to!
That was awesome!!! I was dying when Hannes talked about the ,was it back kicker or butt kicker. The way he described it I could not catch my breath hahahaha
Me too - I had to rewind a couple of times to catch it all, I was laughing so hard.
And in what other format would we get to hear about these incidents?
Some of the security stuff brought back memories of my days working at festivals - a bunch of different roles from traffic management to stage security and eventually, managing a whole shift. That was at an event which the previous year I'd been accidentally double-shifted, under my actual name and under my nickname, and was 3 days in before anyone (including me - I was in a fog by then) realised and sorted it out. From the little I remember, I was just thinking we must be really short of stewards as I seemed to be working a lot.
That was a long time ago - I met my wife (in her first year stewarding) at that festival, and we've been married 35 years.
Amazing talk Tank with Hannes!! I'm proud swedish Sabaton fan and I'm a big fan of you as well !! Keep it up buddy
Awesome podcast Tank! Really enjoyed it! I think I found Sabaton just after you did. Randomly found their Bismark video and loved it, second one I watched was your reaction to it 😂🤘. I had tickets to see them in Vegas with Priest and was super bummed when it had to be canceled. Hopefully they'll be back on tour in the US sometime soon!
Was a great interview got to watch Elizabeth with Joachim and then Tank with Hannes. Good day for sabaton fans with interviews and new album drop. Mine should be in the mail so have to wait a few days.
Just happened to be playing Scar symmetry today and then you mentioned Halo Affect! Favorite new band whom I’ve only heard two songs from. Still can’t believe the list about you had not heard before!
It's awesome to see how more and more people discover Orbit Culture! Thank you TankTheTech
Unfortunately I didn't have time to watch this completely, but what I saw, this feels like a very genuine interview. This was very interesting and you had good questions.
Keep at it!
I was not planning to watch the whole video, but it was so comfortable that the time flew by and what do you know, I watched the entire thing. Love the format, just two buds shooting the shit. Great job, Tank. From a fan in Calgary, Canada.
Thanks a ton, bud!
I went to a Takida concert (Takida is a Post Grunge band that's quite popular in Sweden) in February 2020 and the supporting band was Normandie. Never heard of them before but I liked what I heard. A few months later Normandie almost blew up.
Being a fan of both Sabaton and Nightwish. This was so enjoyable to watch. The new album kicks. Being into Classical Music. The intro to Stormtrooper knocked me on my ass. Good luck with the interviews.
This was a nice interesting format to chill and listen to whilst doing some weekend house work.
Tank, just like you I can't wait to see them in your ancestral homeland of Wales.
Cymru am byth 🏴
This was amazing, absolutely great and I had 90 wonderful minutes listening to you and Hannes talk, joke, laugh and share experiences..Felt very relaxed, you are a natural at this Tank.
It was very interesting to hear you guys talk about seing one single negative comment amongst hundreds of positive and 'focus' on that one. That is something I think is very common in all walks of life and I had to seek professional help to deal with it as it was starting to eat me up from the inside.
Awesome podcast Tank! I absolutely loved it from start to finish. The subject matter was interesting, the format was compelling, and the atmosphere was just about perfect.
In fact the only thing I wish you had done was to ask him how things worked with him and his family when he is on tour with Sabaton and Floor is on tour with Nightwish. Since they are both major parts of two amazing and popular bands who tour a ton I think it would create a lot of potential issues and I would love to know how they deal with them.
Otherwise it was perfection and I can’t wait to see the next one (yes I know number two is already up that’s where I’m going next ;P ).
