- A Deagle, made in blender. This one took over 5 hours in total, both modeling and texturing together. I included the texturing in this one, so let me know if it is something I should do in the future.
The final model has 7814 faces.
Music - from Hotline Miami soundtrack :
Knock Knock
Miami
Perturbator
Electric Dreams - Hry
You get points just for using Hotline Miami Music
+Super Super Hero It seemed like a good choice to me, the game has a great soundtrack, but I liked these pieces in particular
Very well done, Liam! And pretty good texturing as my unprofessional eyes are telling me. Also, that blue background was a great solution since the last video. Like from your biggest fan!
Very nice
Amazing! :3
Looks really good man gg :)
+MRxTeabag Thanks!
Hey man, been a while since we've seen anything from you. I hope you are in the best of health, and are able to overcome any issues that you (are/will) face. Patiently awaiting next video! :D
hey man, thanks for the concern. I've mostly just been trudging along with uni (pretty lame excuse, I know) but I've been missing making videos a lot, so I really do want to get back into it.
I feel you dude, frickin last part of the semester was rough here too. Anyways, best of luck dude; hope we can see some good stuff soon :)
pretty poggers
ok fuck just how do these guys do this I thought playing Minecraft like dream was hard but after this.. oh boy I was wrong, epic Design bro!!
Awesome model dude! I did see more triangles than usual, but you weren't subdividing either, so it makes sense. Great work man! I'd love to see a ww2 weapon or even a mech if you really want to test your patience!
EDIT: Oh, and I don't mind textures in the same videos. Saves me the trouble of extra clicks lol.
+Mischief Minion Thanks man! Yeah, I strayed away from subdivision in this one, but you're right, it evidently meant more triangles. I honestly don't know if that is a problem or not. I'm not sure I've ever made something WW2, so I'll definitely keep it in mind. As for a mech, it would be awesome to do, but it would be difficult, so we'll have to wait and see with that one.

Triangles won't hurt on a solid prop like a gun. They hurt for subdivision and maybe rigging. Yeah, mechs require too much time. I'd love to see a mosin nagant or a k98k if you do model a ww2 gun.
+Mischief Minion Yeah, I'll definitely consider modeling one of those, thanks for the suggestions.
Like the vid man. I am wondering if you'd be interested in some unique gun designs. They are pretty good but drawn on lined paper. I'll email them to you if you want.
You can make a animation tutorial in blender for this gun?
how do you come up with apporaching on it like that have you done many starts from scratch or what ? im modelling a deagle and i took myself 5 runs to get the lower part any good, lol you make it in like 10 minutes
man...
I have a real silly question
Can you create beginner tutorial on 3d modelling
so many triangles and Ngons
nice liam, this one has a game ready polycount, you could try your hand at a high poly then bake to the low poly
+delamovies Yeah, I made it a goal of this one to keep the polycount at a reasonable level, but not for any particular reason, it's not for a game or anything. And I might do a highpoly version at some point, and if it turns out to be particularly good, then I'll upload a render of it.
Liam's Blender Channel I don't know if you are that into games, I assume you are, because of the soundtrack in this video, but if you learn the workflow of highpoly baking you could create models for use in mods, I'm trying to get my m1911 into gta5 for instance
+delamovies Yeah, it definitely would be great to be able to do things like that, but I dont think its what I'm going to focus on just yet.
How to make gun like your ? Please help
Could make a beginner's tutorial on modeling in blender? I would love to learn it!
+Heyo Animator That is something a lot of people have been asking for, so I might do it eventually.
Liam's Blender Channel Awesome!
which deagle is this. the l5 or the xix?
There Are Some Called Gifted And Talented And Then There Is You. How Do You Do It?
nice but isnt it filled with ngons?
Make a tutorial, nice vids.
you are crazy
you didn't use subdivision surface modifier?
+karolooo o Not for this one. I decided to keep the face count down, and to try not rely on subdivision. Most of the other models I've done have it though.
great ! I've heared that it's faster and better to do it that way .
nice job what will you do with the 3d model?
+ilcanaledi Dani I doubt anything. This model was just made for the sake of making something.
have you ever thought about working for a game?
+ilcanaledi Dani I've worked on games in the past, but nothing too serious, and they never really went anywhere.
ok thanks
How you make this qith a plane? There are 2D
+RSC- GOE (ChuckNorriumV2) You copy the outline of the gun with a plane, then you extrude the plane to make it 3d
An thats make it simetric? Liam's makes the model only in one face
Can I make this with a cube?
+RSC- GOE (ChuckNorriumV2) I'm not sure what you mean by symetric, but you can use the mirror modifier and that might help. and you can definitely use a cube
Who is the utility of Smooth?
how long modeling took you about?
+Cub Red Games There was about 5 hours of footage (4 and a half modeling, about 45 minutes texturing), although there is always a fair bit of pausing and resuming the recording to check references and things, and to not have big pauses in the video. All up I imagine it might have come to maybe 5 hours just on the modeling.
Ok, thank you for getting me this doubt.
the airsoft stiyle
You can do this into normal motion? That's so fast ;-;
+RSC- GOE (ChuckNorriumV2) I have all the footage, so that is something I could do. In the mean time though, you could try changing it to 60fps and watching it in 0.25 times speed, and that might be good for something
Good idea Thanks :D I'm trying to learn to use Blender. I made this gun, I'm the best of my class. I'm 14 years old :) sketchfab.com/models/2206bb9537f447848a627821ec55cd1e
Thank's for all these tutorials :D I really enjoy making this thing
+RSC- GOE (ChuckNorriumV2) Well I started using blender when I was about 13, and I was rubbish for ages, so you're further than I was at your age, I'm quite sure. Obviously a lot of things to improve, but they will easily come with practice.
Really thank's :,)
would be more realistic if it didn't have two safeties
i think the deagle has two safeties but whatever
