One other thing. People keep talking about the eagles being good yet the entire team quit on their coach 3/4 through the season when they had a chance to go to the superbowl. There is no guarantee that they won’t quit on him in training camp. Eagles fans know this but pretend to forget how much they underperformed last year.

Saquon signing with Eagles is blasphemy but so be it. Thanks but see you later. McKinney stings more but it is similar to the Landon Collins contract. Another team overpaid for a safety. We are putting money into those crucial areas like Oline & pass rush. This is how we won in the past with a dominant Oline & elite pass rush. Adding Burns to help Kayvon & Azeez will bring us back to the days when we had a dominant pass rush with guys like Strahan, Osi, Tuck & JPP. Let’s Go!
Now we can draft a #1 WR like Nabers or Odunze which is our biggest need. Ideally we trade back to add draft assets for a trade up for a QB in the future but Schoen is smart enough to let the draft come to him instead of reach. Maybe Drake Maye falls to us at 6. They are surrounding Jones with talent to enable success as he deserves another shot. With an improved Oline & more & better weapons Jones could have a break through year. He will have no excuse now. Unless a QB falls to us we should stick with Jones.
We’ve had a very good free agency. We only traded a 2nd rounder & 5th for elite pass rusher Brian Burns. Incidentally we got a 2nd & 5th for Leonard Williams so the trade was basically Williams for Burns. 👍🙂 Now we have to crush the draft. We need to continue to focus on Oline & pass rush help but our top priorities include #1 WR, TE, RB & safety. Let’s
Hope Big Blue is an improved team & shocks the NFC East & NFC with a great year. Let’s Go Giants!
And we are not done. In fact, we are far from being done. The draft will really put the Giants on a higher level. The 2024 team will be much better than the '23 team. Not a Super Bowl team, but we are much closer now. We have a team with a vision.

No thank you to the Maras, staff etc. We tried to sign him. Few times
He did show respect, when he didn't sit out on the tag when the Giants prevented him from hitting the open market at his peak value (which is even more important for RBs and played through any injuries he was dealing with all year). All with no long term financial security due to the tag, he still fought for this team regardless. Nonsensical to say given all of that that he "showed no respect" leaving. Giants didn't offer him, didn't want him here, just wanted to hold him hostage on a tag for a year, and then let him leave.

Giants overplayed their hand with the tag, and thought he'd accept a major discount to 19M guaranteed late. Played hardball when they had the tag ready to go. Overplayed their hand.

Mr Burns Welcome Home my man. Both Offensive and Defensive Lines seem to be our focus in Free Agency Runyan and Eluemunor where both good moves buy Joe. Tiki is forever a Giant like Eli he can say what he wants imo. I loved Barkley got 5 different Jersey's.. I understand going and getting your money💯 but he knew how the fans where going to be..he was our best player now we on his cheeks 🤷♂ call Toney he knows how we roll.
New Era for Big Blue and great expectations
Firstly, this discussion was EXCELLENT. SCHWARTZ AND LONDON KILLED IT! Thank you to both gentlemen.
Joe Schoen killed it this off season. Not signing Barkley and X were necessary moves. We can’t pay Saquon all that money…he’s not worth it, and speaking today, Singletary and Tracy and Dante Miller will make us forget Saquon very quickly. Then we drafted the best safety in the draft, NUBIN. so he has a good chance to make us forget X, as well as BELTON, even though many of us, including me, love X and appreciate his contributions all these years.
But more Joe Schoen brilliant moves- the 5 OL guys we picked up in free agency are huge. These guys all have experience and have been successful when they have started, so this should solve most of our OL problems. If JMS sux again, we have a very competent replacement in Schlottman. Should Neal play like a guy who looks overwhelmed, we have a guy who performed vey adequately in Eleumunor. Runyan should be solid as a guard, so either Neal plays RT or RG if he is incapable to play tackle. The other 3 guys are very good depth just in case someone gets injured, and again, all have been successful when called upon.
BOTTOM LINE: we drafted another Odell in NABERS…we may have solved our OL problems…definitely made it adequate, which is far better than crappy, what they were last year. We traded for a super star Edge in BURNS. We drafted solid needs in CB, Phillips, TE in Johnson, and RB TRACY. I know the white elephant in the house is who will be our QB? Obviously it will be Jones or Lock….I don’t think DaVito is being taken seriously to start even though he earned the right to have a chance to start. That Monday Night win v Green Bay earned him that right. GO GIANTS!

Love to see it and I love the giants but they did him dirty seriously the most loyal giant and you don't even show him half that back... yet never once addressed the oline in what the last 12 years we have been bottom 3 every year
I know we need a new QB. We also need a No. 1 WR, a right tackle, and more depth on defense.

Saquon made his bed and has to sleep in it. Instantly becomes one of the most hated players in Giants history. There is no scenario where Saquon is welcomed back to MetLife. The Giants offered Saquon basically the same deal he signed with the Eagles last year. If he really wanted to be a Giant he would be. It was the right move to move on. I"m excited about the new faces, and looking forward to seeing the rebuilt offense.

Runyan might not be a star but that is ok! I think as fans we can underestimate the value of average. If the Giants can have all 5 positions on the line be average it would be a massive upgrade. It would mean a dropoff at LT (shoutout Andrew Thomas) but overall an upgrade. The line wasn't bad last year, it was historically inept
Nahhh Barkley bitter like a ex girlfriend. He was butt hurt all last season. His true self came out in a youtube interview and after that I stopped being a real fan

Things are back in the big blue balance when we are most excited about our pass rush. Look back , its easy to see. Elite pass rush = big blue superbowls . This is the beginning of a big turn around.

Plenty of people are aware , alot arent. Tiki quit on Manning. He had no confidence in him , didnt hide that fact and retired early . We won the bowl the next year. That is what saquon was referring to.

Now we’re getting our O-line together and our D is already good… The players I would go out and get would be Saquon he’ll benefit from a good O-line and on the D side I feel McKinney would work wonders in our team. We could totally could get these players if we don’t waste our money on a QB who’s only impressed for part of a season. If we could get them we’d have a chance of taking on the packers and the eagles.

Why wasn't there a contract offered? Offer something at least. How much off were they? If the gap was too big, ok i get it on the Giants part. But not even offering anything is just wrong. He IS, or was the face of the franchise.
Last year before he was tagged he was offered 12.5 million 4 years, he turned it down. It's clear he didn't want to be a Giant...

Can't get mad at Barkley for going to highest bidder. I'm just saying I think face of the franchise/captain leader in the locker room is worth it but we'll see.

This could have all been avoided by Joe schoen. Be a man and sit Barkley down and tell him to his face that we don’t have the money to pay a premium RB right now because we’re rebuilding and not in a position to truly compete. So therefore we can give you a contract but it won’t be anywhere near what you’re worth and I don’t want to insult you but if you have to leave to do what’s best for your family then we understand and we appreciate everything you’ve done for this organization.
