I hated that Gabbie said that the brushes were comparable to Elf brushes that are typically $1-$6 each. But these brushes were supposed to be $70-$80 values for 10 brushes. Which would mean they should be better than Elf. Also the “Manage your expectations” comment was so passive aggressive and condescending.
Sara Kate Elf brushes are really good though 😂 I love their black line of face brushes and use them over my Mac and Zoeva brushes lol

Exactly. She agreed to partner with them because she felt like the brushes were worth the $10 they're being sold for while completely missing the part where the website claims they're worth 8 times that and what does she have to say about it now that the brushes are no longer on sale and are being sold on the website FOR $80??? Probably nothing.
Gabbie's response was appalling. Laura Lee was tacky. Seems like the year is going out with a bang.
I personally didn’t like that she tried to down play the amount of money people spent. $10 sits on people’s budgets differently. And you can’t be sure how many brush sets a person ordered. Maybe $10 isn’t a lot to her, but it can be for others. And these people were hoping to get “quality brushes” that she recommended. I think her video was very passive aggressive, and almost blaming people for being upset that it turned out to be a scam. People work hard for their money. And the Laura Lee situation was tacky. Why take the iPad from someone who obviously wanted it to give it away? I understand someone else will now receive it, but she could have purchased her own if she wanted to include it in a giveaway.
Also, many people paid more than $10 for shipping. The highest I have seen so far is $35. Every country has different shipping costs.

As her stalker I completely agree( "stalker" is my joke to Hannah because I've been sub'd since before 1k & have watched every video, let the ads play all the way through, like every tweet etc lol)!! She's so genuine, honest, level headed Especially for her age, looks at all angles & creates her Own opinions. She's continuously growing & hopefully by this time next year she'll have over 100k!
Yes, I’m much older than Hannah but she is so smart and can express herself and her feelings so well and in a short period of time. I really hope she grows because people need to watch articulate, interesting, smart people instead of say, Tana. People need to smarten up and I think Hannah’s going to grow and will be a voice of reason while also entertaining and people will actually learn things and maybe find out educating yourself can be fun and interesting. This is my hope!

Thank you for talking about Gabbie! When she was basically trying to blame her subscribers I was thinking, "Do you not remember the fact that most of your subscribers are children?" I unsubscribed from her after all this. I'm so over her.

Laura lee had one job of rebuilding her image and she can’t even do that right. It just really shows that she’s not a good person.

Doesn’t Gabby have a manager? And some people bought multiple sets of brushes as gifts so I saw one girl bought 4 sets and paid $40 in shipping. Gabbys whole body language and tone in that video was like an abuser. It’s YOUR fault, you made me mad. Disgusting.
Agreed...she is like "be grateful I found you this deal" like sis...if I wanna throw away dollar bills I'd hit the strip club...she was talking about how amazing these brushes are and how amazing the company is and then says "manage your expectations" wha...is she even...I cant ...her video was seriously ridiculous..it was a hissy fit.
Tara..I just saw this issue on Tea Spill. I knew if I watched the actual video it would make me angry lol. I don’t follow Gabby but I know who she is, she’s been around a LONG time. Hannah was so right, like just say sorry. These YT’ers don’t seem to understand most of them don’t have a real talent, that they’re basically famous...for now. They have a very skewed view of their importance and of their shelf life. Just apologize, like real human beings.

Laura putting the ipad in a giveaway wasnt the problem. The problem is that she took it away from someone that was presumed to not be very wealthy and could have really used it. Then she used it to benefit herself by putting it in a giveaway in order to boost subs and interaction on her channel. Pretty trashy if you ask me, considering Laura lives a very extravagant lifestyle.
I think it's much ado about nothing. Laura lee is constantly doing giveaways. I honestly dont think anyone deserves an iPad. No one needs one. People are ridiculous and feel the need to make a big deal out of everything. She didn't steal anything, she participated in a game and got the iPad. I think people look for things to hate people for.
Jean Crawford she literally took it from someone who wanted it and then put it up days later in a giveaway claiming that someone else needs it more than her uwu so charitable

The part that made it highkey tacky was that she stole it. She didn't just happen to get it and no one stole it from her, she chose to steal it and then put it in a giveaway which just makes it all the worse in my opinion.
Gabbie made herself look soooo bad in that video. I hate the way she reacts to situations, she has been straight up whining so much lately. She is almost 30 and is still acting like a 15 years old honestly. I don't think Gabbie was trying to scam anyone but like stop blaming everyone else when the company is trash just admit it. I don't find her content interesting anymore, every video is complaining and whining. I understand that it hurts when people talk about you but people are always going to have opinions.
I totally understand where you are coming from. I stopped watching her content when it either became a) nutrition based (not bad necessarily but not what I initially subscribe for), b) when her actions/words started to make her, in my eyes, seem very full of herself, or c) not funny anymore

I do have a feeling her waiting was to discuss with Kenza how to word things. She is still protecting Kenza at all costs so I bet they are threatening to sue her even though they would hurt themselves more. That, or they haven't fully paid her or offered her more money to help save them.
The whole giveaway thing is so on brand for Laura Lee
People are turning it around on Trish saying she shouldn't have gone so over budget and completely missing the point. Completely missing that part where Laura took what she had and traded it and then turns around and uses something in a giveaway to gain subscribers when one, she could have bought an iPad to give away, and two, there were people at that party that would have appreciated and used the iPad. It has NOTHING to do with Trish going over budget. It's about Laura being greedy and stingy and sneaky. Sure, a lot of people regift things. But also, nobody likes to see their gift being regifted. You do that in private. It was a very public smack in the face to everyone there, the people that wanted it and the person that bought it.
EDIT: And she said she's "grateful" to Trish that she could give the iPad to someone that needed it more than her, OK SO WHY DID YOU TAKE IT FROM SOMEONE ELSE AT THE PARTY IF YOU DIDN'T NEED IT. Her intention as soon as she saw the iPad was to use it in a giveaway to gain subscribers.

Totally agree with you. Anyone over 25 would know that was a scam but these are youngsters spending their money. They trust the influencers way too much. Some even spent $35 on shipping. I hated the manage your expectations line. Oh and her I never commented because I like to do my research made me laugh because she was happy to promote it without doing any research. Kids need to understand that some influencers really don't care about their audience so long as they get paid.

Here’s a theory. I think the big influencers actually low key hate their fans. They are caught in a toxic relationship with viewers and think people are just trying to tear them down. The tricky bit is that that is true in some ways! It doesn’t absolve you tubers of the responsibility of not scamming people but... how do we fix this negative loop we are all in here?! Thankfully not those of us here. That’s part of why we love you. :) just my two cents!
My issue with the LL issue is that there were people there that would have loved the iPad and could have used it but couldn't afford it. While she took it and clearly she could afford it. To be selfish and use it to her benefit.

I saw the vlogs of that party and the thing that bothered me was that people were hyped because there was an Ipad in the mix and she "stole" it with the clear intention to put it in a giveaway. By the way, I fell for it and I ordered the "free brushes".... I am embarrassed but I did. And after over a month after my order and still hearing nothing, I reached out. I then got a shipping notification email, and it's now been 3 weeks and I still don't have them.

And you hit the nail on the head that the whole reason I fell for it was because I actually had not seen this promotion all over (but I now know they are wcerywhere) and I thought they really were like $80 brush sets. I can get cheep $1 brushes anywhere. So I did expect nice brushes. But at this point I just want to see if they ever come. I also find it interesting that after I inquired I got a shipping confirmation (I truly think I would have never heard anything from them if I hadn't reached out, AND if this hadn't made such a big splash on CZcams). I am curious if anything was actually shipped or if that's just their way of no longer being responsible. Because now if I never get them they can just blame the postal services. Btw no tracking number, of course

Gabbie Hanna has been Literally Gaslighting her fans for years. Every time she's involved in drama or criticized at all she completely spins the story to make people feel stupid for even being upset or having a genuine complaint in the first place. She completely leaves out facts that would place any blame on her and only responds to the very few dumb comments that have been made against her to try and make the entire argument seem unfounded and invalid. I honestly don't know if she knows she's doing it or if she's just so narcissistic that she can't see anything else, but either way it's morally fucked and borderline abusive.
I live so much in my own world that I only discovered who GH is from the videos about this situation. It’s a sad indictment that so many people get up to this kind of nonsense and that so many can’t apologise.
God, I hate white elephant. I get that it's supposed to be a game, but I've never liked it. My mom's side of the family makes us do it every year with a $10 budget and you'd think finding such a cheap gift wouldn't be a complete and total pain in the ass, but it is. At least if you're trying to find something decent that won't break in two weeks. I just really don't like the game because I prefer to give and receive gifts with some personal thought put into them.
Kelsey Van De Laarschot my family in Mexico that’s 40+ people does something similar but different. You draw a name and you get a gift for one person. Then everyone gets one gift that’s personal. To get the gift, everyone has to guess which name you picked out via 20 question game. So it’s not expensive but personal

Ikr! Especially since the vid shows the person she took it from was not a yter. Alot of people there(to my understanding)was Joey's friends & family. Alot of people can't afford to manage all of their bills, let alone a pricey mac book pro or whatever it was. It would be different if she got the gift, but she "stole" it knowing she didn't need it. Even if she got it as her gift, she could've gifted it to someone who was genuinely excited about it at the party(that's what I would've done, if I had her kind of $). She has $ & there was only shady, greedy, self centered thinking when she done that IMO.

The things with Kenza is that question what are they doing with customer credit card info? There is a whole business of selling peoples information and if its a scam, what else are they doing? The influencer is responsible on some level for the sites they send viewers too because they are a part of the advertising - so far no one has talked about this

I'm thankful for you and your well spoken opinions! I never watched drama channels cuz I just don't like the negative attitude and energy I often found there, so I never even click on them (except for 1 on your suggestion who is objective and hilarious). I can now actively choose to not click on other certain youtubers videos in order to not support them and their behaviors without needing to find out first hand (after watching and supporting however many videos).
Also your attitude (rational, objective, positive but realistic) is refreshing and totally relatable. I have literally watched every video since finding your channel over a month ago plus many older ones lol Nice to chill and "hangout" in between working on stuff. Your videos bring me joy.
