He is a beauty influencer who does heavily edited CZcams videos. He is not a musician, comedian or entertainer who has the ability to put out a full blown stage performance. Hell, he's not even a licensed MUA doing a master class. He is taking advantage of his young fan & frankly, their parents, all the while making excuses as to why it's so expensive.
Right?! There's nothing really special about him to justify those extortionate prices. Whilst you have talented musicians who will charge a third of his prices, along with a meet and greet or intimate venue.

I did some of my own research and while the term transsexual is not offensive, it is also not an umbrella term for the trans community like transgender is. It's mostly considered an outdated term, and it's caused confusion amongst people believing that being trans has anything to do with sexuality (Like bisexual, heterosexual, etc), which is not correct. It's a term that has been used in derogatory ways towards trans people, and yes some are sensitive to it being used. It caused me to pause, but I know she meant no harm or malice when she said it. I agree that she is probably one of the most inclusive and PC youtubers I watch, but making this statement (when she didn't even have to) put a smile on my face. So, thank you for always doing the right thing, regardless of whether or not someone is offended.
Kara Aryana my point wasn’t anything to do with the word she used. It’s the fact that no matter how closely anyone monitors what they say, there will always be someone offended. Everything is picked apart & critiqued to the fullest extent these days. To the point of exhaustion. A lot of people get pleasure out of calling others out on their mistakes, no matter how big or small. A lot of times, it doesn’t even have anything to do with their lives & doesn’t affect them in the slightest. That’s just not how I choose to live.
I am sure his ego is currently hurting because his tour isn't sold out. That speaks volumes. Nothing is sold out, tickets are still available at all venues, even VIP.

Someone made an interesting comment on twitter and noticed that in James's apology post he only referred to "Tati's vitamin company" and never specifically said Halo Beauty - this is apparently usually part of a contract influencer's have with SBH because they can't outright name another competitor. But at the same time, I definitely don't think Tati needed to post that video to her story, it was bit dramatic/extra for the situation :\ Also I'm literally not paying $500 to see anyone except Harry Styles!!
Forcing parents to pay an extra $500 or else be unable to supervise their YOUNG kids is a clear safety issue and unnacebtable!! Let the parents pay a smaller fee it's not like they're the ones interested in getting pictures, gift bags, or meet and greets. I used to be a huge Rosanna pansino fan. When her book came out she went on tour and I got to meet her FOR FREE. I got a photo with her and a signed book and all I had to pay for was the book and my ferry ticket to the event. James is delusional if he thinks that’s worth $250
I understand where people are coming from with the idea that "James can promote other vitamins because Tati promotes other eyeshadow palettes." To that I have to say, Tati actually reviewed his palette and constantly references it as something she loves. She does talk about other eyeshadows, but it's no secret as to where she stands on James' products. James has NEVER mentioned Halo Beauty and still has yet to use the actual name of the brand. He's not only advertising other brands, he's completely ignoring Halo Beauty in favor of making money from a scam brand like Sugar Bear Hair. I understand why Tati is upset, and even though she is an amazing smart business woman you can tell she values family and friends way over brand deals and money. That's why James using her fame, and doing nothing in turn for her hurt so much. She thought she had found sincere people to surround herself with that value friendship like she does, but she was proven wrong and that really hurt her. Edit: Nisipisa let me know that James has in fact mentioned Halo Beauty before so my apologies for giving incorrect information there.
I also just wanna add that what Tati did was manipulative, but she's a human and she was hurt by her friend. Any one of us might have done the same thing if we were feeling vulnerable and when we feel vulnerable we are all capable of doing things we don't really mean to do. I would be more upset by her actions if it was something she ALWAYS did.
As someone who has worked in the music industry that involved some bigger artists and bands, I have seen tickets to those shows for WAY less and that included meet& greets with pictures. $500 is just absolutely ridiculous and we’re not talking about additional tickets fees that add to the final price. He has said that he needs to pay staff and venues but bigger bands have bigger staff, equipment and stadiums and tickets are way less. I’m over him. Also him blocking people on twitter for criticism is bs. He is acting like a money hungry fool and we know he can do better.

I feel like there is more going on with their friendship than just this, and this just broke her enough to say something. She supports him publicly in EVERY WAY possible, and I have never heard him post or support Halo Beauty... As a friend he should be screaming her praises as she does him, and he doesn't. Exactly, and he's completely isolating the fans that can't afford it all together. Most of his fans are underage, so even if they just want a general admission, the parents are most likely going to have to buy a ticket for themselves too....so it's $100-120 right there. Then merch, food, travel expenses....it's a lot of money. It really bothered me when he said it's his way of saying thank you. If that were the case, he'd be footing the bill. I get that tours cost a lot money, but it's a bit manipulative for him to act like this is all out of the goodness of his heart, especially with prices like that.
I agree that Tati probably should’ve just handled this privately but I think this was just the last straw. She honestly just seemed fed up in her vid. Supporting a supplement is also VERY different than supporting makeup, so there’s that. I’m NOT saying that was a factor for JC, but just making the point in general that supporting a makeup company/ launch is simply not the same as supporting the launch of something that you take internally & which many people should be discussing with their doctor before taking. Probably an unpopular opinion, but I wouldn't pay $500 to hang out with my favorite band or actor for an entire day, let alone for a CZcamsr to just to hang for maybe an hour with a bunch of other fans who ALSO paid $500 and have his attention be all over the place. Personally, I feel like he should’ve had two tiers: meet and greet and general and his show should be a q&a + doing two random people’s make up, as in, before people go inside the venue they put their name into a lottery if they want to and that way anyone can get equal opportunity! When I went to Dan and Phil‘s tour (I get that James is bigger, of course but still) I paid $100 for first row seats + meet and greet (selfie, goodie bag, autograph) and it was enough!! Also, James said he’s including his fave makeup on the goodie bag but tbh if anyone wants to get makeup they can just go buy it at Sephora.
I don't think Tati did this just because James promoted another vitamin company. IMHO this was the cherry on top of something that happened and she was fed up with it and felt the need to share this. She already had a strong following and introduced him to her followers which initially helped him. She got him to do her wedding make-up before he was this huge deal. He was so broke she even bought clothes for him to wear at her wedding and he would spend his time with her and James hanging out and for meals so as not to be alone. So again how did she use him? She gave openly to help him which even he acknowledges she gave more than anyone could ever have asked for. Oh and by the way 37 isn't that old, wait until you get there! Thank you! I’m in my 30s and have been thinking the same exact thing. I stopped watching her last year as well because her videos were giving me weird vibes. I felt she was acting dramatic for the sake of the video...dropping a brush (like a normal human) but then replaying a slow-mo of it over and over as if it belongs on Funniest Home Videos. Why?! Can we just get back to the review/tutorial. Who actually thinks this sh*t is funny? I just felt like she was pandering to a much younger audience, an audience made up of middle school girls. Then she dragged Kiki Chanel and sent her millions of minions after her...and I was like wow definitely middle school...unsub. Clearly, age and maturity don’t always coincide and Tati is a perfect example of that.
I stopped watching her videos after the halo pills, it didn't sit well with me the price and trusting how amazing they are base on tati who obviously has had some work done and wears hair extensions.

Re: the second thing you mentioned: I think the problem is the lack of reciprocation. There are individuals who are more than willing to have supportive messages, compliments, likes, follows, etc rained down upon them and then who want to act outraged, mocking or defensive when they are asked to return that support. It's inevitable that the giver ends up feeling used (as if they've only been kept around for the ego stroke). Self-absorbed people lack the tact, empathy, and foresight necessary to think about the impact of their words and actions on those around them. They are entitled, take others for granted and can't wrap their heads around the fact that no one is obligated to support or encourage them. Being thoughtful, considerate and empathetic is not equal to being a "snowflake" or a "chump". People shouldn't need to be called out in order to do the right thing by others (especially people who they consider to be friends/family).
James' "I didn't think excuse" is infuriating because he received an offer, he agreed to it, and he did it. There's no way he didn't think. He did this, in my opinion, purely for money because he's not struggling for deals or money and could've paid for his own security at Coachella. Sorry if I'm seeming harsh but his ego overall is going to keep getting him into trouble, I feel. There's more to Tati's instastory than people think. People think it was an overreaction to James' story, but she's been pretty vocal these past few months that she's been going thru alot. I think everything just hit her and she had enough.
It’s well known that Tati, James, and Jeffree are all friends. Yet Jeffree held off on his own launch so it didn’t impact Tati’s launch in any way. Not only that, when James first came to LA, Tati took him to events with her and introduced him to the people that could boost his career and give him sponsorships. So yeah, it’s shitty that he did that. I agree she should have spoke to him directly, but I also understand why she felt betrayed.

Can I just say thank you for being a voice of reason on the whole James and Tati thing. Literally my first thought on hearing about the situation was "why don't you call/text and ask him like a fucking adult"? I and a lot of my friends deal with mental illness and we know that occasionally it affects our behaviors in ways we don't realize, it sometimes makes us do things we wouldn't normally do, or often there is just a misunderstanding. What do we do when that happens? We check in with each other and try to talk it out because we realize we might not have meant to hurt the other person and want to understand it. It just baffles me that instead of talking to the person who "betrayed" you, you go and cry on social media. Like yeah, vent, but be a fucking adult and realize social media shouldn't be your go-to for situations regarding conflicts with your friend group.
I've seen Dan and Phil on tour twice and the production was huge both times, but the m&g tickets never topped $150. They have a huge audience who adores them and totally could've exploited that and charged more for a meet & greet, but they're reasonable.
Honestly?! The whole thing with tati and James has to be fake. It was a way for James to get the ad money and still advertise for halo beauty. He could emphasize the fact that he only supported sugar bear vitamins in exchange for what they provided him and then come out and actually support halo beauty. You know they created this whole “scandal” behind the scenes. It was a win - win situation. These people are social media masters and know exactly what they are doing and how every word will be picked apart. So many viewers act like these influencers just “accidentally” offend everyone - it is advertising most of the time. A new scandal pops up every 10 seconds and you need a scandal to stay relevant.
I think the Tati thing is way over the top. I dont think its reasonable at all to expect your friend to not take any other vitamin sponsorship because you sell vitamins. Although I think Sugar Bear Hair is a sketchy company at best.

My opinion on the James/Tati drama: I don’t really see where he did anything wrong. Like I get Tati wanting support from her friends, but just because he uses another vitamin brand, doesn’t mean he doesn’t support her. And also, he wasn’t showing support for sugar bear hair hair vitamins, he was talking about their sleep vitamins. Tati doesn’t even have a sleep vitamin, so how is he supposed to use something of hers that she doesn’t even have? Also, she’s a grown ass woman. If she’s upset with him, she needs to talk to him, not cry all over social media
Also, Tati has stated in the past that she has some mental health struggles as well. There is a tremendous pressure on social media to have everything look and be perfect. I think it's incredibly important to show people that this side exists. Tati does have some younger people that follow her and they need to know it's okay to be sad and hurt. She didn't name James, she never explicit said exactly what happened. She just said she was hurt and was having a crappy day.

When it comes to the Tati situation I don't think that James did that ad without realizing what he was doing I believe he did it because it's alot of money in his pocket and he knows Tati will forgive him for it which is very shady of him. Tati is significantly older and more experienced than James. I can understand her disappointment in some of his decisions. Regardless of whether she sees him as a close friend or a son, to me it seems inappropriate for a grown woman of 37 to use her platform to complain about the business decisions of a 19 year old. I really like Tati and I'm honestly surprised at her lack of emotional maturity in this situation. She could have easily had a private conversation with James about this.
I think the falling out with Tati goes way deeper than the vitamin ad. I agree, handle things privately instead of using your socials for passive aggressive subtweeting.

VIP, Meet & Greet, free professional pictures, free snacks/drinks, backstage pass, free goodie bags (Actually really good quality draw string megadeth bag, with autographed Set List & Poster, 5 buttons etc) Free Limited edition tee shirts, AND WE WERE ON STAGE WITH MEGADETH FOR THE FIRST 3 SONGS!!! If a huge band like Megadeth can make it possible then James should be able to too. Quality over Quantity. Make the tour sites smaller, less tickets, so it's more of a huge 2k hangout rather than a 10k+ event. Know your worth, but don't take advantage of your fans who made you possible. (Not only that but we also seen several other bands.)
It's ridiculous you need to PAY to meet James Charles. Jeffree Star came to my country and I got the wrist band that was your ticket to meet him. You just had to be there waiting a few hours before they started giving those wrist bands to people and I was one of the lucky ones because I was there early. It was completely free, you didn't had to pay for anything, just come early to get the wrist band.

Kara Aryana my point wasn’t anything to do with the word she used. It’s the fact that no matter how closely anyone monitors what they say, there will always be someone offended. Everything is picked apart & critiqued to the fullest extent these days. To the point of exhaustion. A lot of people get pleasure out of calling others out on their mistakes, no matter how big or small. A lot of times, it doesn’t even have anything to do with their lives & doesn’t affect them in the slightest. That’s just not how I choose to live.

I understand where people are coming from with the idea that "James can promote other vitamins because Tati promotes other eyeshadow palettes." To that I have to say, Tati actually reviewed his palette and constantly references it as something she loves. She does talk about other eyeshadows, but it's no secret as to where she stands on James' products. James has NEVER mentioned Halo Beauty and still has yet to use the actual name of the brand. He's not only advertising other brands, he's completely ignoring Halo Beauty in favor of making money from a scam brand like Sugar Bear Hair. I understand why Tati is upset, and even though she is an amazing smart business woman you can tell she values family and friends way over brand deals and money. That's why James using her fame, and doing nothing in turn for her hurt so much. As someone who has worked in the music industry that involved some bigger artists and bands, I have seen tickets to those shows for WAY less and that included meet& greets with pictures. $500 is just absolutely ridiculous and we’re not talking about additional tickets fees that add to the final price. He has said that he needs to pay staff and venues but bigger bands have bigger staff, equipment and stadiums and tickets are way less. I’m over him. Personally, I feel like he should’ve had two tiers: meet and greet and general and his show should be a q&a + doing two random people’s make up, as in, before people go inside the venue they put their name into a lottery if they want to and that way anyone can get equal opportunity! When I went to Dan and Phil‘s tour (I get that James is bigger, of course but still) I paid $100 for first row seats + meet and greet (selfie, goodie bag, autograph) and it was enough!! Also, James said he’s including his fave makeup on the goodie bag but tbh if anyone wants to get makeup they can just go buy it at Sephora.

Re: the second thing you mentioned: I think the problem is the lack of reciprocation. There are individuals who are more than willing to have supportive messages, compliments, likes, follows, etc rained down upon them and then who want to act outraged, mocking or defensive when they are asked to return that support. It's inevitable that the giver ends up feeling used (as if they've only been kept around for the ego stroke). Self-absorbed people lack the tact, empathy, and foresight necessary to think about the impact of their words and actions on those around them. They are entitled, take others for granted and can't wrap their heads around the fact that no one is obligated to support or encourage them. Being thoughtful, considerate and empathetic is not equal to being a "snowflake" or a "chump". People shouldn't need to be called out in order to do the right thing by others (especially people who they consider to be friends/family).
James' "I didn't think excuse" is infuriating because he received an offer, he agreed to it, and he did it. There's no way he didn't think. He did this, in my opinion, purely for money because he's not struggling for deals or money and could've paid for his own security at Coachella. It’s well known that Tati, James, and Jeffree are all friends. Yet Jeffree held off on his own launch so it didn’t impact Tati’s launch in any way. Not only that, when James first came to LA, Tati took him to events with her and introduced him to the people that could boost his career and give him sponsorships. So yeah, it’s shitty that he did that.

It was $25 for general admission to Trisha show, $70 to meet her and $250 to mukbang with her. I thought that ticket pricing was incredibly fair.
Can I just say thank you for being a voice of reason on the whole James and Tati thing. Literally my first thought on hearing about the situation was "why don't you call/text and ask him like a fucking adult"? I and a lot of my friends deal with mental illness and we know that occasionally it affects our behaviors in ways we don't realize, it sometimes makes us do things we wouldn't normally do, or often there is just a misunderstanding. What do we do when that happens? We check in with each other and try to talk it out because we realize we might not have meant to hurt the other person and want to understand it. It just baffles me that instead of talking to the person who "betrayed" you, you go and cry on social media. Like yeah, vent, but be a fucking adult and realize social media shouldn't be your go-to for situations regarding conflicts with your friend group.
I've seen Dan and Phil on tour twice and the production was huge both times, but the m&g tickets never topped $150. They have a huge audience who adores them and totally could've exploited that and charged more for a meet & greet, but they're reasonable.

Honestly?! The whole thing with tati and James has to be fake. It was a way for James to get the ad money and still advertise for halo beauty. He could emphasize the fact that he only supported sugar bear vitamins in exchange for what they provided him and then come out and actually support halo beauty. You know they created this whole “scandal” behind the scenes. It was a win - win situation.
These people are social media masters and know exactly what they are doing and how every word will be picked apart. So many viewers act like these influencers just “accidentally” offend everyone - it is advertising most of the time. A new scandal pops up every 10 seconds and you need a scandal to stay relevant.

I think the Tati thing is way over the top. I dont think its reasonable at all to expect your friend to not take any other vitamin sponsorship because you sell vitamins. Although I think Sugar Bear Hair is a sketchy company at best.

I understand Tati feeling hurt but I agree, the could of made it private. Not everything has to be public. They say they don’t like drama channels but once you make information public, drama channels are allowed to make videos on it. And exactly, I dislike seeing people complain about people jumping to conclusions yet again putting out so much to the public.

My opinion on the James/Tati drama: I don’t really see where he did anything wrong. Like I get Tati wanting support from her friends, but just because he uses another vitamin brand, doesn’t mean he doesn’t support her. And also, he wasn’t showing support for sugar bear hair hair vitamins, he was talking about their sleep vitamins. Tati doesn’t even have a sleep vitamin, so how is he supposed to use something of hers that she doesn’t even have? Also, she’s a grown ass woman. If she’s upset with him, she needs to talk to him, not cry all over social media

Also, Tati has stated in the past that she has some mental health struggles as well. There is a tremendous pressure on social media to have everything look and be perfect. I think it's incredibly important to show people that this side exists. Tati does have some younger people that follow her and they need to know it's okay to be sad and hurt. She didn't name James, she never explicit said exactly what happened. She just said she was hurt and was having a crappy day.

When it comes to the Tati situation I don't think that James did that ad without realizing what he was doing I believe he did it because it's alot of money in his pocket and he knows Tati will forgive him for it which is very shady of him. Just look at his ticket prices to me James only cares about the money and his ego is out of this world, but people keep supporting that kind of behavior so why would these influencers stop.

Tati is significantly older and more experienced than James. I can understand her disappointment in some of his decisions. Regardless of whether she sees him as a close friend or a son, to me it seems inappropriate for a grown woman of 37 to use her platform to complain about the business decisions of a 19 year old. I really like Tati and I'm honestly surprised at her lack of emotional maturity in this situation. She could have easily had a private conversation with James about this.
I think the falling out with Tati goes way deeper than the vitamin ad. I agree, handle things privately instead of using your socials for passive aggressive subtweeting.

I got the notification while I was watching endgame and I seriously considered whipping out my phone and watching it with one earbud in and the other on the movie
My boyfriend & I went to a Megadeth concert & it was 500$ for Both of us! VIP, Meet & Greet, free professional pictures, free snacks/drinks, backstage pass, free goodie bags (Actually really good quality draw string megadeth bag, with autographed Set List & Poster, 5 buttons etc) Free Limited edition tee shirts, AND WE WERE ON STAGE WITH MEGADETH FOR THE FIRST 3 SONGS!!! If a huge band like Megadeth can make it possible then James should be able to too. Quality over Quantity. Make the tour sites smaller, less tickets, so it's more of a huge 2k hangout rather than a 10k+ event. Know your worth, but don't take advantage of your fans who made you possible. (Not only that but we also seen several other bands.)

It's ridiculous you need to PAY to meet James Charles. Jeffree Star came to my country and I got the wrist band that was your ticket to meet him. You just had to be there waiting a few hours before they started giving those wrist bands to people and I was one of the lucky ones because I was there early. It was completely free, you didn't had to pay for anything, just come early to get the wrist band.

Also, shes been tweeting 27,000 tweets about “ growth ,, betrayal and friendship” cliche type of shit which is incredibly annoying. Like move on and stop milking the situation to seem like you’re being mature when you’re really not.
