- The conclusion of our Azul knockout tournament! In this video I analyse the replay of the grand final match: fuji-poyo (601 ELO) vs kspttw (651 ELO). There are some surprising moves (to me), but overall some very high level gameplay. A fitting match for the grand final!

Amazing video! Thanks!
Please, make much more videos about Azul! I LOVE the game (my favourite) and you are super cool! I love your analysis. There are just few Azul videos in CZcams and I think there are a relatively big Azul community out there. Thanks SO MUCH! ❤
Thank you very much! I plan on continuing to make Azul videos, not weekly, but every now and then. If you haven't yet, check out Alexey's Carcassonne Channel. He's a master Azul (and Carcassonne) player that makes the occasional video too - czcams.com/video/LAJdI4qUB00/video.html
Very nice analysis. Great game. Loved it! I am used to pretty much only play the advanced variant, but playing the standard game looks very interesting as well :)
I love the basic version too much to ever switch ;)
Really appreciate these Azul videos! 👍
Great analysis! That's my favorite kind of video on the channel, commentary of high level games.
Thank you for the analysis! Keep doing them!!
Very interesting. Less completion for the first 3 rows but great manipulation of discards.
I didn't understand at first, but when the plan came together I understood and it was beautifully played.
An interesting point about this game for me was that even though fuji had very very uncontested blacks early on (after round 3 there are 4 placed black tiles to 0 for ksp), the stuck reds prevented any threat of a color score - making the blacks very low priority in the lategame, which was good for ksp.
Yeah, it was funny how the colours came out. The reds coming out super late really hurt fuji, and especially being denied basically any red in round 3 due to the clumped up group of 4 reds. Imagine just having a spot for all those yellows to go in the last round - could have been a very different game.
Very interesting. And funny moment in round 2 where not of what you expected happened ^^ . So much thinking in these game.. I clearly don't think enough in my game
I enjoy when a move is not what I expected (and yes, it's funny to see that many times in a row). It means I've probably missed something in my own thinking and analysing that improves my own game!
wow, now i know why my elo is around 200 :D brawo kspttw jesteś kozak
Very well played indeed!
Have you played Azul Summer Pavillion? Would be interested to hear your thoughts on strategy for that version
I've played it once before, but to be honest I barely remember the rules let alone the strategy for it. If it ever comes on to Board Game Arena, or we happen to buy a copy of it, I'll give it some plays and thought!
I hope you could invite a pro for this game as you did with COB
I hope so too. A master would be awesome! :)
Would love to. Any takers? 👀
