I have the exact same atv. Orange is such a rare colour. I haven't seen any other quad in orange madness. This video is fantastic. You really helped me out with my new winch install. Thank you
This video is AWESOME. Thanks so much for uploading, I didn't even know the ATV was prewired. This is a great vid on how to PROPERLY install a winch. For those who don't know you can actually power aftermarket (non-polaris plug and play) solenoids using the accessory orange/white wire under the dust cover.
Yes its the same size as the battery cable and the same size as the one up front, look along the frame its zip tied and tucked in right behind the battery.
Did you have to purchase a mount kit with the winch? Or did everything come with the kit? Also where did you order it from? Great video though, made it look pretty easy
Those sportsmanH.Os look awesome I have a 550 XP and I'm trying to remove my winch but I wanna kinda know what I'm doing so I don't break anything that's why I'm watching this lol
Damn mines gonna be a pain to replace I have a front bumper that's warped from hitting a tree and the bracket is bent and my radiator is relocated and its snorkeled so.... Yay I can't wait
@@sikminestavery handy to know. I was just going to use the existing Polaris wires for my aftermarket (non polaris) winch. Luckily, the control box came with about 6' of already hooked up black and red wires. Great contribution to this awesome video

I’m glad it’s still helping others, wish I’d done some editing to streamline the video, I still have that quad.

Everything I needed came with the winch. I purchased this from my local Polaris dealer Rocky Mountain cycle plaza.
Thanks for the video. Next time try editing, watching you bolt down a screw for like 2 mins was brutal
Thank you for the video. I'm not sure why anyone had down voted this. Great job.
Very informative!! Keep them videos coming.

Nicely done video. Thank you.

You bought a good winch warn is so much better then the polairs winch
super vid. thanks.
Do you have to have a winch mount? Most of the winch companies sell them.
Also, love the TP in your storage compartment! LOL

I ordered my winch but forgot to order the toilet paper :(

Can you tell me what model mounting plate you need? I have a Champion winch! Great video by the way!
My last name is Mackie. Haha
My winch positive was in middle between 2 rear tires. Dont forget this or it will click like it is getting power but wont move
This makes me not want to buy a winch... gonna take it into a shop.
with the prewired wires will they work with any atv winch or only the pure polaris one
only polaris :(
Wish I'd known this..

I installed mine in about 2 hours... nothing to it if you are handy.
You lost me at $600 polaris branded winch.
