How to install a winch on a 2012 polaris sportsman part 2
I have the exact same atv. Orange is such a rare colour. I haven't seen any other quad in orange madness. This video is fantastic. You really helped me out with my new winch install. Thank you
I’m glad it’s still helping others, wish I’d done some editing to streamline the video, I still have that quad.
You lost me at $600 polaris branded winch.
Good job , Do take your wheeler off the payment?
Does anyone know why we have to mount the winch upside down ? The bracket does seem to fit both ways but the second set of bolt holes in the raised part don’t seem to be needed for my installation and for some reason my OCD is nagging that the winch stickers I wont even be able to see need to be turned the right direction. LOL I’m sure theres some good reason it mounts bolts up but I would be interested if anyone knows. Thanks
Thanks bro. Hello from Lapland 🎅❄️❄️❄️
Thank you for the video. I'm not sure why anyone had down voted this. Great job.
nice video.thanks
What are you using for a camera? The clarity is great!
Appreciate the video. Used alot of this info putting a Warn 3500 on my 2014 Polaris 570 EPS.
You bought a good winch warn is so much better then the polairs winch
I ordered my winch but forgot to order the toilet paper :(
Can you tell me what model mounting plate you need? I have a Champion winch! Great video by the way!
My last name is Mackie. Haha
Did you install a remote? If so where did you put it? I'm about to install a Superwinch LT3000 and it is somewhat different but the information you have supplied here is Going to be a great help... Thanks
fantastic video, thank you for making this, it has help me a lot.
super vid. thanks.
NICE VIDEO, finally , someone who mentions the little pre wire that has to be connected to. The instructions that came with the winch DID Not even mention this connection. This install is even easier on the 2014 570 sportsman... thanks
Thanks for sharing. Very helpful
I know it's already per wired for a winch but are the wires already wired to the battery ?
on my 12 500ho, the ground is already connected and under the seat you will see the positive cable connected to ground just disconnect it from the loom and to the battery positive
cool got it done , my 2014 400 H.O is awsome
were the main wires for the winch already installed on the battery ?
Nicely done video. Thank you.
Everything I needed came with the winch. I purchased this from my local Polaris dealer Rocky Mountain cycle plaza.
Did you have to purchase a mount kit with the winch? Or did everything come with the kit? Also where did you order it from? Great video though, made it look pretty easy
My winch positive was in middle between 2 rear tires. Dont forget this or it will click like it is getting power but wont move
Thanks for the video
Y didnt u mention always bring the tp lol
Excellent video. I mounted the Polaris 2500 in about half an hour. Everything went well except it didn't work. I SPENT HOURS figuring out how I'm not getting power to the winch. Although I very much appreciate your video NOWHERE did you advise anybody about the fact that there is a wire that has to be connected to the battery. NOWHERE on the instructions does it mention this. Took 2 beers and a glass of wind thinking about it. But I saw it on another video. I thought I was going CRAZY. Thanks
Do you have to have a winch mount? Most of the winch companies sell them. Also, love the TP in your storage compartment! LOL
Awesome video
Damn mines gonna be a pain to replace I have a front bumper that's warped from hitting a tree and the bracket is bent and my radiator is relocated and its snorkeled so.... Yay I can't wait
Those sportsmanH.Os look awesome I have a 550 XP and I'm trying to remove my winch but I wanna kinda know what I'm doing so I don't break anything that's why I'm watching this lol
Yes, you just have to power aftermarket (non-polaris plug and play) solenoids using the accessory orange/white wire under the dust cover
This video is AWESOME. Thanks so much for uploading, I didn't even know the ATV was prewired. This is a great vid on how to PROPERLY install a winch. For those who don't know you can actually power aftermarket (non-polaris plug and play) solenoids using the accessory orange/white wire under the dust cover.
I installed mine in about 2 hours... nothing to it if you are handy.
This makes me not want to buy a winch... gonna take it into a shop.
Awesome video. Thanks!
Wat winch do u recommend
with the prewired wires will they work with any atv winch or only the pure polaris one
only polaris :(
Wish I'd known this..
@@JP-ATVvery handy to know. I was just going to use the existing Polaris wires for my aftermarket (non polaris) winch. Luckily, the control box came with about 6' of already hooked up black and red wires. Great contribution to this awesome video
Thanks. I was told it was easy but Polaris had instructions that
Thanks! Watched this and then installled same winch on my 2013 sportsman 800
Yes its the same size as the battery cable and the same size as the one up front, look along the frame its zip tied and tucked in right behind the battery.
Great video's. Made installing mine a piece of cake. Thanks man.
looks easy enough...nice videos, thanks
Very informative!! Keep them videos coming.
polaris did it for you just connect it to the battery
Thanks for the video. Next time try editing, watching you bolt down a screw for like 2 mins was brutal
wait so you dont have to run a power cable or a ground cable? like say if you were hooking up an amp in a vehicle. like a cable from battery to contactor.
PART ONE?!! PLZ?
were is part 1?
