NICE VIDEO, finally , someone who mentions the little pre wire that has to be connected to. The instructions that came with the winch DID Not even mention this connection. This install is even easier on the 2014 570 sportsman... thanks
Excellent video. I mounted the Polaris 2500 in about half an hour. Everything went well except it didn't work. I SPENT HOURS figuring out how I'm not getting power to the winch. Although I very much appreciate your video NOWHERE did you advise anybody about the fact that there is a wire that has to be connected to the battery. NOWHERE on the instructions does it mention this. Took 2 beers and a glass of wind thinking about it. But I saw it on another video. I thought I was going CRAZY. Thanks
wait so you dont have to run a power cable or a ground cable? like say if you were hooking up an amp in a vehicle. like a cable from battery to contactor.
Did you install a remote? If so where did you put it? I'm about to install a Superwinch LT3000 and it is somewhat different but the information you have supplied here is Going to be a great help... Thanks
Does anyone know why we have to mount the winch upside down ? The bracket does seem to fit both ways but the second set of bolt holes in the raised part don’t seem to be needed for my installation and for some reason my OCD is nagging that the winch stickers I wont even be able to see need to be turned the right direction. LOL I’m sure theres some good reason it mounts bolts up but I would be interested if anyone knows. Thanks
on my 12 500ho, the ground is already connected and under the seat you will see the positive cable connected to ground just disconnect it from the loom and to the battery positive
