If you are a lover of makeup, there’s a pretty good chance you might ignore their ingredient list. Because of this, beauty brands have gotten away with hiding some disturbing substances in their products. From lipstick with boiled animal fat to mascara containing crushed fish scales, these are ten beauty products you’ll never buy again knowing how they are made.
Women and men all over the world have used lipstick for centuries. And why shouldn’t they? It makes lips really stand out and totally brings a look together. Sadly, there is one thing your favorite lipstick brand isn’t telling you, and it’s the fact that it may have a substance called tallow in it. Make sure to watch the video, and we will show you exactly how tallow is made. And, believe us; it isn’t pretty.
If that isn’t enough to make you rethink the beauty industry, may be there is something else that will do the trick. Did you know that beauty staples like eyeshadow and mascara have ground fish scales in them? This ingredient is commonly used to give makeup a lustrous shine, but all it is doing is grossing us out. Another thing that will gross you out is a common substance that is found in perfumes, watch the video to see what it is!
Check out the video to see what else is lurking in these products and even more like, deodorant, shampoo, face creams, and shaving cream! While you are there, don’t forget to subscribe to “TheTalko!”

Propylene glycol, also called propane-1,2-diol, is a synthetic organic compound with the chemical formula C3H8O2. It is a viscous colorless liquid which is nearly odorless but possesses a faintly sweet taste. Chemically it is classed as a diol and is miscible with a broad range of solvents, including water and acetone.

Yes 100% undiluted can irritate your skin, but no skincare product is containing that. So many ingredients people claim are so bad for the skin, ignore the fact that it’s all about the dosage. In small percentages, propylene glycol can works as a humectant and solvent.

One thing is that perfume manufacturers aren't required to tell you exactly what is in their product so you really don't know what you're inhaling into your body. Also some lipsticks and eyeshadow don't have these bad ingredients, which is why you need to check them before you buy them.
Also, i use Tom's Natural Deodorant. I tried to make my own but i got a burn from the baking soda. Tom's Deodorant works great and their packaging is completely recyclable.

I use deodorant but most people use antidepressants. Antiperspirants will over time clog and can damage the pores. It will clog and collect in pores and then must be manually expressed to remove. Alot of the ingredients you mentioned I am allergic to.
While everything you mentioned sounded unnerving ( by your design), the information has been easily available for anyone who checked. I know because I checked. We are each responsible for our own education on these matters.

One way is to buy brands that use plant based ingredients..Sprouts, Whole Foods and Natural Grocers have them. I use a brand of moisturizer called "Avalon". It has lavender extract and is wonderful. Burt's Bees products, like facial wipes are natural and good for skin. A good moisturizer is coconut oil. A dab in your palm goes a LONG way on freshly washed, still wet skin. Good in hair before the shampoo, too. As for makeup and lipstick...Zuki is a good brand, as is Gabrielle. Soap...Zum Bar is a great brand. Kiss My Face, Jason's, etc. Just ask a store rep. There are a LOT of choices that do not use animal based products.

google "The Dirty Dozen" also EWG'S Skin Deep Data base. Our government does little to no regulating cosmetics, its horrible.Baby powder has talc which is toxic, it can be made from cornstarch. Makeup can have Alcohol Denta which means denatured alcohol which is a paint stripper and is used in setting sprays to make your skin absorb the product better and alcohol ages skin. Its truly unreal, those deoderants that can last for 24 hours are made to block your pores which in turn can back toxins into your bloodstream. They have natural crystal salt deodorant which is fine.Their are some great substitutes as the women above mentioned for perfume that even have calming properties and antiseptic properties but no one wants to believe our government doesn't really care about hundreds of toxic chemicals we use .The FDA had done very little regulation since the 1930's If I remember right.People say its not true but they can just look it up themselves by googling harmful ingredients in cosmetics or perfume. And all these kids being born Autistic , almost everyone I know is sick.
