Gorilla Oumbi, Shufai, Ozala and Lope In The Snow

- Filmed over two days. Gorilla Shufai is outside getting his greens. It's snowing but not settling yet. He runs back inside but comes back out again when the snow comes down quite heavily. He climbs back down, probably as there is no snow yet for him to scrape up to take with him. He goes back inside.
The second day I visited, there was some snow on the ground. Ozala, the boy's mum was outside and Lope is just beside her displaying, beating his chest at her. Lope walks upright around the hut. He picks up a little leftover food and both go back inside. The water dripping/ melting already as the sun comes out.
Ozala is back out again at lunch and gets some food. Most food is inside. They only put a little bit out. After she picked up some bits on the ground she climbs up the climbing frame, grabs some more there and goes back inside. I don't know why, but I was half expecting Ozala to walk upright, even though I know she never does. Probably because of the food she had in her hand. As she went back in, Oumbi the Silverback comes out to have a quick look. He only finds a cabbage so he takes that and goes back inside. Shufai doesn't seem to like the snow this time around. He tries some but throws the first lot away, but grabs some more to go inside. Most of it has now melted. Ozala sitting by the warm wall.
Inside I just manage to catch Shufai throwing his snow in the air. Yep, the snow is definitely not to Shufai's taste this time around.

I was wondering if she's looking bit pregnant or just having bit of a belly, a baby gorilla for this family would be fun as the boys are growing up, of course there has to be space for a new gorilla (a girl would be easier).

Lope is looking Diesel. When did he get so bulked up? Chest is defined....those tufts of hair at the tops of the shoulders forming. ..I thought Shufai was growing at a ridiculous rate. To see my little guy mature so is making me happy & a little sad. ..We better enjoy all of these moments w/ the whole squad together while they last.
Yes, he's growing up so quickly, too quickly. I miss the rascal moments, as he got a lot quieter over the last year.

Yes and where is Aunt Asante 😢? I am guessing she and Grandma Biddy don't like the cold so they are eating inside. I can't say I blame them as I hate the cold but it sure would be nice to see them too. I love this family too. Thanks SloggerVlogger for another wonderful video! 😊❤

Out of all the western lowland gorillas (Silverbacks) I've seen in captivity or zoo's, I have to say that Oumbi is the most distinguished and robust looking Silverback out there.
