For anyone wondering why dad had his arm down there he expected the little guy to climb up his arm but when he took a detour the dad was like “Forget you then” 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
wrong
Nope, actually he faked his assistance and tricked the boy. He is deliberately messing with the kid.
@@Carvakasamsarathat’s what I think. Just so he can teach the little one how to climb out on his own.
@@matthewgregg1248 Please enlighten us Jane Goodall
LOL I laughed so hard when the dad rolled him back down the hill and left 😂
"You didn't want help, then you don't need it now, good bye."
I swear these guys live in the apartment above me.
Right he was like “okay you don’t want my help? Stay down there then!” 😂😂😂
"Come here boy... Let me teach ya someth-.... Awww...just forget it!!" 😂
He pushed him down to make him do it again.
How many of you watched much longer than you thought you would? Such a simple thing but it's so beautiful to see them play and the father taking care of them.
Totally! 😂👍
Gorillas are disgusting creatures.
I though I'd get bored after a minute but I watched it in its entirety hahaha
Because they remind you of yourself
Gorillas are harmonious creatures that live in the presence
As a (human) dad of three little ones, I feel this fellow dad’s aggravation 😂. Especially when the little one refuses his help to get back up. He just takes him and rolls him back down the hill like “you little shit!” 😂.
I felt it in my core - these days I realise how annoying I must’ve been as a kid.
1:35 gotta love that part
Kid: falls into ditch
Dad: "come, I will help you up"
Kid: "no, I will do it myself"
Kid: struggles and finally gets out
Dad: shoves him back in
Jj

yep, and this was how my dad is. What an ape.
"Life lesson 1 is complete, Life lesson 2.. Begins"
That was hilarious! Something I would probably do.
Anyone who grew up with a brother, knows this is a crucial part to growing up
Or cousins. We roughhoused a lot. Teaches you to not be a doormat.
My poor brother, with 6 of us girls, he had no chance. 😂
@@ScottishDeeSideEye he wouldve if gender equality was an actual thing
@@ScottishDeeSideEye I understand what you and your family went through… my only sister grew up with 6 boys… a lot of rough housing
@@Inaresco Nah, he's just a really nice big softy!!! Always has been.
It's so cool knowing how close of an eye he had on them. He saw the little one falling before it really happened. Parenting in great apes doesn't seem to far off from humans.
Well we are great Apes too 😂
Nah, little one saw DAD coming and fell over himself, the arm thing is to show his son he is not to cross the line, which is why the baby didn’t go up the hill instantly and turned around.
Also why the dad grabbed his little ass and chucked him back down with ease. He knows they are to small to care about rules
Honestly better parents than most humans
@@noahthe0tter better than yours, that's for sure kiddo
I heard an expert explain the importance of rough housing and it was pretty fascinating. Even the part where they get hurt and cry is important. They're learning limits. You're learning empathy by knowing what's painful to other people. Even falling out of trees is important. You fall out of the tree when you're a kid so you don't fall off the mountain when you're an adult.
👏👏👏👏 Amen
nonsense.....apes die from falls out of trees as one example..and they can severely injure themselves....its not about learning how to fall out of a tree so you dont fall off a mountain...since the vast majority of apes DO NOT live near mountains...they live in jungles...and rain forests...
That's yy you gotta let ur sons fight
Some human parents need to learn this these days.
You are correct, but now a days, in schools they teach boys that it is toxic behavior, pfff...
😂. I see the reason why the Dad rolled his offspring back down the hill. He’d been patiently offering his arm to help. He finally lost patience when the little rascal acted as if he’d accept help but then flaked out at the last second and climbed back up by himself. The Dad was like “ok if you ignore my help let’s see you get back up here again without me”.
Yea you’re right 😂
Omg your right!!! Hahaha
If a human did this in America, they would be accused of "child abuse", arrested, and the video would go viral with millions of people crying over social media.
He seen him trying to help him he was looking 😂
Nahh... he's a silverback, the open arm on the ground means that he draw the line that the littleone shouldn't pass till he let him. That's why he rolled him back
Love how the dad get up BEFORE the little one rolled down the hill. Just like us they have that instinct to know exactly what’s about to happen and automatically jump into action. And I laughed out loud when he rolled him back down there like “You saw me standing here all this time and it’s not even that deep. You’ll be alright.”
I raised boys and this video has me smiling. Great dad there.
Hahahahaha!!! I laughed so hard when dad seemed to want to help him up the hill and rolled him back down. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
yeah that was the best part, he rushes out to check on him if he's ok and then is like ok, shoves him back down that little drop off he rolled down from.
He didn't want to help him and they both knew it.
Your perception is wrong.

The brother dipped as soon as he noticed father move.
Father remaining there and pushing him down meant to say give fighting a break.
The fighting briefly paused and the bigger brother went on to be a bit more apprehensive to displease father again, and demonstratively passive to engage.
You can tell Dad is a no nonsense kind of guy😂
He pushed that little monkey down that hill 🤣
He’s just waiting for a chance to get mad 😂
He is willing to put up with the nonsense until mom gets home. Mom is not about the nonsense.
I think ol silvy is no deadbeat dad, & jr was thinking about a true takedown but had second thoughts as he was eyeing up dad and said maybe next time 😂
This has been so fun to watch. It's so similar to watching a human family. They are magnificent highly intelligent, beautiful animals!
Loved how the dad waited for the baby to start climbing back up the bank, just to push him back down the bank and go back to chilling in the cave 😂
The little guy is the aggressor here. He’s punking his older brother and then running to Dad. And dad’s buying his story. 😂😂😂

how does a dad gorilla say "your a bit older then your brother, tone it down..." pretty effectively actually.

Its more like ''your born from a lesser female go away''
"Will you keep it down! I'm trying to watch the game!"
he cracked me up when he out of concern chased after the slightly older one who disappeared after he rolled off the edge of the drop off, he sees he's fine and pushes him back down😆
Dad trying to chill and enjoy the day
Dad seems content with life, I won't complain ❤
1:07 that little arm flex was so adorable! 💪 😂
Absolutely, he’s a fan of slapping the ground with two hands, and that’s a silver backs warning slap of the ground in the wild to tell single to stay away from his family and daughters
The gorilla is a better parent than most out there
I feel like we just see bad news all the time and we think that's all there is is bad parents
That dude just wants to play too and he threw the little one off the cliff. All of them are cute though. The real parents are the zookeepers.
Throwing your kid off a cliff, yeah great parenting 🤣
I think your comment really hurts bad parent humans

Most patient silverback Dad ever ❤❤
This is a good dad keeping order and making sure the children know when to ease up on each other.
Being a good father is hard work.
Dad rolled him back down the hill like "ahh you're fine" 😂😂
Love that the dad didn't do anything until mom showed up😂. Then he's all about knocking off the rough-housing

Dad pushed the one down the hill like a bowling ball 😂
He never took his hand for help in the first place I think
@Mister AE Lol well gorillas are closer to being animals than human. I don't think they could have manners unless you trained them to. Go watch all kinds of gorilla family videos, they can do a lot worse! I'm not saying you don't know this, I just didn't understand why you commented that lol

This reminds me very much of my younger brothers as little boys. It looked like they were tearing each other apart but they just got up laughing. Just like these brothers.
This dad is actually doing an amazing job. He's nearby, yet giving them enough freedom to feel safe to explore their surroundings. He checks on them when they get too rough and let's them do their thing again, he's also consistent. This teaches them to have secure attachment styles. ❤
WHAT?😢@@Yashka7134
Exactly
It is wonderful how Dad corrects but dosen’t destroy confidence. Allowing them to learn their skills and what fair play is ❤
It's cute. I think it's interesting how human parents are constantly telling their kids to STOP STOP STOP and this gorilla just let's the kids have fun. Also, side note.. I'm not sure gorillas understand the concept of what is fair and what is not. All animals play but we are the only ones who have rules with our play. Gorillas don't have referees and rule books. Id imagine if they understood those concepts, maybe you'd see dad being a legit referee rather than sitting on his ass watching haha
@@metri0n agreed… you put that better 💯

I like that the bigger one is clearly letting the younger gorilla have a shot at their fight. He could probably easily win, he’s so much bigger, but he chooses to put himself in compromising positions so the game will keep going
My older brother and I got into often. Didn't know how bad we were messing up til Dad stepped in. LOL 70 years later, I love that man with all my heart.
He cracks a little smile when the run past and hits one on the head like a proud dad. This is lush ❤❤
4:52 when baby gorilla tried to climb on his dad’s head but he knocked him off😂
6:29 he really looks at the camera and says “you see what I have to deal with?”

Wow. I am always amazed at the human like behavior of gorillas. Dad sprung into action when he thought his son was in danger. Then he said "that boy aight" and pushed him away. He also wouldn't let them play in the house. Love how he went out to greet mom when she came home from work.
You mean when she came home from the day at the spa!
@@kellygears8514 LOL! That's even better!
Well we are very genetically similar. We are basically like like cousins to the other great apes. It's easy to see similar mannerisms in animals who have so much in common with us
We came after most of them though. Kinda funny to coin it as "human" like. What is human like is how we like to revolve everything around us. Especially in the past, literally. Thank heliocentric. 🤦
The thing he did with the arm is something male silverbacks do when they are setting a boundary. He probably thought they were playing too rough and wanted them to stay separate. The arm is supposed to be an invisible line, and the boy didnt listen and walked past anyway, so he pushed him back down. The video about the spy baby gorilla robot explains the arm gesture. I think he walks away after pushing the boy because he decided not to bother since he wont listen anyway
The kids face when his brother fell down the hill and the dad showed up is priceless lmao he cares about his bro.
I can watch these little rascals all day!
What a wonderful big daddy, he doesn't like it when they get too rough 😊
I love that DJ lets the boys wrestle and rumble, and only intervenes when necessary. He loves teaches and corrects just like human dads do.
