A Moment Between Silverback Oumbi And Lope His Son

- Oumbi the silverback is sitting outside watching his son Lope lying in the grass. Lope gets up and looks in his father's eyes. It looks like Oumbi is moving off, sticks his head in the grass, probably to look for some food pellets. Lope is still watching him closely. A minute later Oumbi sits in the grass Lope still close to him. Oumbi then moves and tries to grab Lopes arm/hand. My first thoughts were Lope might have had some food in it, but it didn't look like he did. After scratching his back, Lope turns around, gives the blue barrel a knock. Then some strange behavior. Lope turning his backside towards Oumbi and Oumbi moving beside Lope. They are still looking at each other. After some grazing, they move off together and a funny moment when Lope throws a bit of food behind him in Oumbi's direction. Oumbi jumps away and has a look at what it was. They both disappear inside.

Lope is growing into a young male and is starting to show traits of a future silver back.....including respecting the presence of his father. Oumbi is probably flabbergasted at the change in him. LOL. He's not acting the clown quite as much.
So sweet to see father & son together ❤ Oumbi is so handsome, a body builder for sure...lol
Great father-son interaction. You do see a kind of respect from Oumbi to Lope as the young gorilla matures.
Oumbi dodged a.. 'pebble' (perhaps?) thrown in his direction...😄 Ye gotta be on your toes with Lope around..even if you are bigger! 😄
Oumbi seems to have mellowed abit, lovely moment they share without the usual chaos.
Thanks SV.✌️😍🌟💛
Lope seems to be practicing to be a silverback, like his dad. What a wonderful moment !! This video was great 👍 👌 👏
I think Lope is becoming more mature and Oumbie appreciates it. For people wondering how old Lope is, he's only 7. He'll be 8 next January.
Oh my gosh, I loved this.
Incredibly beautiful footage at the beginning when you did a close up on Oumbi’s head and the wind is gently blowing his fur. So, so beautiful. He’s a gorgeous silverback, even though a bit grumpy sometimes. This is one of my favorite gorilla families. 🦍 🦍🦍🦍🦍
I love how Lope and Oumbi looked comfortable with each other. It’s so lovely to see them spending time together without the usual craziness, no kids running around, no screams.
Lope is growing up so fast, it’s good to spend more time with his dad and start learning how to be a silverback.
Thanks for this awesome video, SV.
@Buba nice that you mention it, the wind in Oumbi's fur, it touched me to see that, don't know why.
Such a simple and yet so loving moment between father and son..... Thanks for this gem
Touching moments between Lope and Omubi. Then Lope throws the small object over his shoulder towards his dad. Dad jumps, I laughed and reminded of why we love Lope so much, never a dull moment when Lope is around. 💕💕🦍 Lope and Tywcross gorillas.
Who learns to be a silverback (and will be) .... LOPE! Great captured. Omy
I giggled out loud when Lope through the item back at Oumbi. Seemed like Oumbi even jumped a bit😂. Lope is such a rascal! I don’t know what Lope was saying by purposefully putting his rear in Oumbi’s face, but I have no doubt that both Lope and Oumbi knew what that meant.😉
Are you suggesting Lope was requesting that his father fuck him? Leading to them going into that room? How strange of you.
@@princevegeta9763 you are creepy
What a Amazing moment Between Oumbi and Lope. They are So Great to se them together like That. Thank you for That Video. 🍃🦍🌿
I love the way you captured Lope wanting a father and son moment. Lope is watching his dad closely. Almost watching to learn how to be all grown up like an adult. Mimicking Oumbi's movements and the way he sits or stands. Beautiful to watch. Thanks SV 💕🦍🦍
Absolutely awesome. What beautiful animals. Love that they can be together but Lope is on his toes. He knows his dad can just charge anytime. Like father like son but Lope is a funny little one.
Again, SV, beautiful coverage of these magnificent animals!
Wow that was truly special! You could see the love between daddy and son! So sweet! 😍❤️❤️
💞Awesome Oumbi💞and 💞Lovable Lope💞
How great to see father and son spending time together.
Seeing them close like this gives a great perspective on size and Lope still has a huge amount of growing to do,just the arms alone wow!
The end was funny when Lope sniffed whatever he picked up and was like...
Sniff nah I don't want this, how bout you Dad? And tosses it, startled Oumbi for a split second before he checked it out and passed on it aswell.😄
Enjoyed watching this vid thanks SV. 😊
This moment between oumbi and lope is so precious!!...soon as oumbi stopped chewing , I knew Lope was doing something infront of him 😂🤣
Thanx again SV ..🦍💜👍🏼
Side note :I think oumbi knows Lope will be separated soon for a family on his own ,thus Oumbi sharing moments with lope
What a heartwarming moment with father and son❤ Lope sure is maturing!! Oumbi speaks through his eyes😊😊❤
Aww what a peaceful moment.
Lope and Oumbi together. It's a man's world now. Great inter action between both. 💜
Poor Oumbi getting rejected by Young Lope. All he wants is close contact.Alas he can be soooo grumpy Lopes reluctant .Its tough at the top. However nice for them to have time together.
What a beautiful moment. Glad Lope stayed there❤️
Love this precious moment
#1 Lope Fan !
SV, today is my son's birthday. He is my blessing.
To see Oumbi being so sociable with Lope brought tears of joy to my eyes.
Wish him a happy Birthday. :-) Have a great day!

Thank you, SV.
You, too.
Great video!
I'm looking at all of these silverbacks from different troops and trying to determine which is the most massive. I believe Oumbi takes the prize. Btw, he has great interactions with his sons, even when they are bring mischievous. Such a lovely troop with funny kids 🥰
Love these guys, especially Lope
Incredible, tks Slogger, you do amazing work.
Thank you kindly!
All the thanks to you. You are one of the few sites that constantly bring Joy and warmth. You know you have to be doing something right when all your comments are thankful people!
This was a rare moment between this father and son.
Oumbi rarely engages one on one with the boys. Pressed to do so by Lope most times. Antagonizing of his Dad is what finally gets Oumbi to chase Lope. Giving Lope a head squeeze and face wash for his trouble....lol
I loved to know what Oumbi's motivation to seem so inquisitive towards Lope was this particular encounter?
They possess inteligence that we don't understand as of yet.
They never cease to keep me enthralled in their amazing lives and behaviour.
Nice 👍 Father and Son day
Dad Oumbi Son Lope very
Special Moments Aloha
From Hawaii 😘🤗❤️🙋🏻
Lope innocently gave dad the finger!
It seems like Oumbi wants to play with Lope but he's like "nay, maybe tomorrow". 🤔..I wish he would...💕💕💕🦍🦍🦍
It always surprises me when Oumbi acts out of character. WOAH HE IS PLAYING for this video.
And that, my boy, is the position. When they do that for you, just jump on it! And everything goes hunky dory.....
Thanks for uploading this. The birds sound really close to the camera.
If I can, I change sound, like this one with the birds. As it can get quite noisy.
I like them thank you
Lope is learning from the best, father Oumbi. He is magnificent.
See, the big fella not always grumpy
Oumbi looks very powerful.
Oumbi Such a Massive Creature..
So sweet....🥰🥰❤❤
Haha! ‘Here, you want this?’
It's good to see Oumbi interacting with his son. I don't get to see that often on videos.
Beautiful creature...!!!Hi Lope my best friend , where is brother??? ❤️💯👍
Hes there somewhere :-)
1:59 😆 🤣 😂
He doesn't play smart with his father.
Everything is a balance of power
SV - How old is Lope now? I don’t know why I haven’t noticed it sooner but in this video I realized that Lope is starting to turn silver across his back. I thought they didn’t start turning silver until they were in their teen years, and I didn’t think he was that old. I loved it when he kicked his foot back and the piece of food plopped down in front of his dad. Lope turned to look at Oumba as if to say “oops sorry dad!”

But I think they hit their "teens" a bit earlier than we do. Chimps who are 8-9 are "teenagers", maybe it's the same for gorillas
That was funny the reaction that Oumbi had when his son Lope toss that rock at his dad his dad almost jumped a foot off the ground to see what hit him on the foot that was funny.
Adoroooo Lope e seu pai o belíssimo SILVERBACK OUMBI 🦍❣🦍
So Pop is this it ? We just hang out here all day for the rest of our lives.
Hope there are more similar moments like this still to come. Seems like Oumbi is trying to connect with his son. Almost feels like Dad can tell son is almost grown up. Unless Oumbi was worried why Lope was lying in the grass instead of running around at 100 mph trying to get everyone's attention.🤷🏻♀️
🥰
Gorilla's are my favorite ape they are amazing an beautiful.... I would love to see one in person before I leave this old world .. there personality is what I love about them .. to me I don't think they are dangerous it's how you treat them that's with any animal you have to take time with them an show you care an love them......
Oumbi's head is so big 😳
It really is. When he sits in front of you by the window ( always facing his back to the window) you really o appreciate his size.
Oumbi "boy you're a mess, I wanted a future great silver back but got stuck w/ a twirling ballerina"
Lope - pretends to scratch back & flips dad off
💯💯❤❤👍👍😊😊
When Lope reaches a certain age Lope is going to challenge his dad and it's not going to be pretty
Hi, SV. Happy weekend, dear one.
I have a question. Is it possible for you to obtain any photo and videos of Oumbi when he was a youngster and growing up?
Sorry, no. I tried before and couldn't find anything.
@@SloggerVlogger
Ok. That's too bad.
Thank you.
It's just a father son thing. Discussing His son's future may be😁😁😁
How old is this silverback
0:48 most people will get slapped if they tried to pull that off on their fathers
Gorilla's do a lot of butt sniffing. Oumbi after he tried to grab Lope he just went over and sniff the spot where lope was. Lope was letting his dad have a sniff being submissive to him. If you watch the do a lot of touch the butt and take a sniff when the pass each other.
Chimps will do something similar. I wondered if perhaps Lope didn't leave something on the ground, and his father was taking a sniff of it.
Oumbi is lonely
