As an afterthought, I couldn't watch this all the way through because it brought back too many awful memories in my own life. What women listening to this hasn't experienced a similar experience some time in their lives? We were brought up to be ladies, polite and compliant and to not make a fuss when we are compromised. We probably did much as she did and tried to "joke" the predator along never believing this would happen to us. This woman is incredibly brave to come forward. Now over a year later, this has still not come to court and he has still not been arrested. Unbelievable! Women need to listen to this very carefully. Do we want this unbalanced person running our country? We must vote him out!

Once he's out of office in January 2021, the DNA WILL be analyzed (or, if he refuses to provide a sample, he'll be held in contempt of court and perhaps jailed until he provides it). She has filed a case in New York alleging defamation for denying the encounter publicly. No pardon, if received, will protect him from state lawsuits. That case will go forward the minute he is no longer POTUS and becomes an ordinary U.S. citizen.

I believe this woman but am very puzzled by her weak reason for not pressing charges. I am wondering if she doesn't want to get involved in a case that would have worldwide publicity. I would not remember someone I met briefly in a large crowd say several years ago, let alone over 20 years ago. There are many times I've been at venues and I chat up the room and I'm sure I'm in other people's photos, but that means nothing. Also, I'm not famous. So, kudos to you if you were famous and constantly at venues and can remember every single person you come across that a photographer happens to snap a photo of you with...that is quite the talent indeed. Testifying in court is very different from an interview with a supportive colleague. This woman is a writer and has had years to go over her narrative. Whether this happened or not it is nafarious to come many years later and be unwilling to go to the authorities. This is at best the selling of an alleged offence. The glee with witch she is discussing this is disturbing.
The fact is that she recounted this experience contemporaneously to two friends. There is nothing *nefarious* about recounting her experience but not wishing to go to court. Look what has happened to all the other women who have attempted to take Trump to court on sexual harassment or abuse charges. You think Trump is going to offer up his DNA? He already denied even meeting her when photographic evidence exists to show that clearly he did. Her decision is perfectly sensible; she would be up against a rich liar. Plus the fact she still blames herself for getting into the situation must weigh on her psychologically; it does seem she was quite foolish in the way she behaved. But she is NOT responsible for being attacked. There is no glee in her tone - she is someone who practises being upbeat in life. But this is her life story and she is entitled to tell it.
