Can you tell me what season that’s supposed to be January? (I’m not an idiot I know it’s winter)
@@RandomRothbardian sorry, I don’t know.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve hit the crack in the driveway and the handle of the shovel pounds me in the gut. I know that crack is there, but I do it EVERY time!
Ever thought to start by plowing ALONG the crack(s)? Make those 1-2 passes, unless you're lovin' cracks to _punch_ you in the gut...
There! Fix't it fer ya.. ;)
@@kostpoliakov The cracks go both ways. Our driveway is 6 sections arranged 2x3. The best solution is when my husband does the shoveling 🤪

Sounds crazy, but clearing at an angle solves it!
You think you have it bad? Try a frozen gravel driveway.
Not even gravel, just asorted rocks.
A true midwesterner would do his driveway for him and then co-sign for him to get a new model snowblower.
Lol
Came here to say the same thing! Especially missouri where we don't get enough snow to justify buying one unless you do everyone's
This. I'm disappointed.
I remember when I got old enough my dad handed me the snow shovel and told me “go clear the driveway”. I put it out in front of me, started running, and immediately felt it hit my gut hard. My dad just laughed. I look back fondly on that moment.
Its just something everyone has to experience at least once

I absolutely LOVE winter. I was born and raised in SW Florida. I actually want to move to Norway for few years. I’ve lived in NJ, KY, and OK. I’ve been in Chicago during a snow storm. AWESOME…. Love it…. Had to shovel out of a 1/4 of a mile drive way after a blizzard in Jersey. Loved shoveling.
I was born and raised in Southern California and I currently live in Utah for college and I HATE winter. This winter it has hardly snowed at all and I'm very happy about that. You can shovel my driveway anytime. To me it's cold, tiring, and just overall a bad time.
Live in Germany and these days we hardly get snow outside the mountainous areas, usually only in January and maybe like a day or two in early December. I moved to the most humid part of my country for uni, there's two rivers here and the snow we do get is like the tiniest bit of white smattering.
The one year I was studying abroad in South Eastern China (aka hot and humid as hell, winter there is more like autumn in Europe) Germany got a massive snow winter. I got pics sent from my family shoveling mountains of snow. My grandparents live in a more mountainous area than the rest of us and it took the family ages to get grandma's driveway cleared there was sooo much snow.
I was so miffed, obviously this had to happen the one year I wasn't in the country.
That was a decade ago, I'm still hung up on it. I wouldn't have minded at all having to help shoveling snow.
But I do understand that it could become a bit of a hassle, during Easter school break 25 years ago we flew to the US to meet my two aunts that where living there at the time. We started in Southern Cali, drove to Vegas and then flew to my aunt that lived in South Dakota. There was a blizzard and we were snowed in for two days. Before moving there, I actually liked winter because Malaysia’s weather is mostly sunny and hot, plus the white snow-covered scenery is beautiful. But after experiencing snow for almost 2 months (Jan-Feb), I began to hate winter. The freezing and dark/sad vibe do not suit me, although I did played outside multiple times when the school was closed due to heavy snow (no school days is probably my favourite thing about winter). I kinda feel like I developed Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) because I get extra moody, sensitive and gloomy around winter time for the past 5 years even though I’m back in Malaysia for a pretty long time now (this is self diagnosed because nobody cares about my mental health lol). Staying somewhere during winter for a week may be fine to me but yeah I don’t wanna experience the whole season anymore.
ok
i hope you take your vitamin d
I feel like this you're describing _exactly_ the kind of people who say they "love winter" lol. It's pretty much always people who live in warmer climates where they my get snow here and there but it pretty much stays above 50° the whole time. Whereas in the real winter areas, it's just overcast and gray all the time, the plants and trees are all dead and brown, the pretty white snow turns into a miserable gray mix of salt and slush after a few days, the air is so dry and frigid that your skin cracks and bleeds from dryness, the wind chill wants to murder you and it dips into single digit temperatures constantly. It's a dark, gray, miserably cold time of the year and I'm convinced that the only people who say they like it are people in your situation - and then they experience it for real and end up hating it lol
@@BooglePoots i live in a 'real winter area' and i honestly really enjoy it. the temperature isn't a problem as long as you put on appropriate clothes, all the parks look majestic, i can play in the snow and go skiing or ice-skating, the fresh air is invigorating and when the sun comes out it's just the best day ever :) and i know many people like me. not trying to convince you, just saying that we exist haha
