I had a friend who did this a lot in our teens. I learned to give him a different time than everyone else
I still have to do it at times with one or two guys đ . We've been friends since we were teens and we're nearing 50 now đ.
@@mitcdav my friend has since changed his ways but the first time he did was when we were meeting for movies. We missed so many showing cause of him that I told him to meet up 30 min early just so we could catch a movie on time. He finally showed up 30 min early and just waited by himself for 15 min( I came in 15 min early after he called and asked where everyone was)

My daughter is late for everything but her own birth. (she was born 2 months early).
We actually subtract at least 1/2 an hour as "cushion" so she arrives nearly on time.
Many times she has shown up at a potluck over an hour late with food that everyone cannot eat as we were full.
My Grandpa was like this, beloved but always late. Grandma just started lying about when they had yo be anywhere. It worked. My sister inherited this. We say she will be late to her own funeral.

Perfect description of my husband. Our daughters and I will be sitting in the car waiting for him. It takes us at least an hour or more to do hair, makeup, etc when it takes my husband 15 minutes to get ready, yet we ALWAYS beat him to the car and literally sit there waiting for him. If I out live him I'm going to put "Always late, but definitely worth the wait! on his headstone.

@@antzzzmed9562 Except he never has to wait for us. In 20 years I can count on one hand how many times my man has had to wait on me. He just doesn't have that internal clock that prompt people possess. He doesn't intentionally run late, he genuinely gets lost in his own thoughts or projects.

Yeah this is pretty much my best friend. If I have to pick him up before noon thereâs pretty much a 50% chance heâs still sleeping and I have to ring the doorbell for like 5 minutes until he gets up. One time he finally opened the door and then just went back to bed for another 10 minutes.

This couldn't have come at a better time. I am the guy who is always early, but today for the first time in over a year, I was 20 minutes late.
Eventually you get tired of getting their 20 minutes early then waiting 45 minutes after the supposed start time because others are late. So all in all you're more like an hour early :).

Just sent this to my buddy who was ALWAYS late, even to go F-I-S-H-I-N-G or hunting, before he had kids. I legit left him at my house and at the ramp on more than one occasion when he was late to go wet a line. We're older now and he has changed his ways. Also, I now live 7 hrs away.

I had a buddy who was like this. He always wanted to ride with me places too. I fixed it by telling him Iâm leaving at a certain time with or with out him. Had to leave him a few times but it fixed the problems when he realized I would leave him behind

Got a family full of these people. They're pretty consistent with how late they are. So we just tell em to be be there an hour of two before it really starts and they're roughly on time. Except the one guy... He needs about a four hour lead timeđđ
Try having OCD & other issues & getting ANYWHERE on time. It sucks. I told my family to lie to me & say an earlier time than when we're supposed to be there, just so I can not be as late. Still always late tho. đ
We were invited to a wedding and it started at 1pm so I told my wife it started at 12 noon. We got there at 12:55 pm and I told her to hurry and go in while I parked the car and that I had lied and it started at 1 so we werenât late!!!

This had always been me, until I found out I have ADD. Went on meds and figured my scheduling and time management out a bit better.
A good buddy of mine is reliably 25-30 minutes late, such that I've taken to agreeing on a time with him, showing up 20 minutes late, and letting him think I got there on time.
