Don’t forget that no matter the room, your view will always just be a parking lot.
I had one room with a view of the roof of the building next door prominently displaying a random frozen burrito. Ah... Chicago!
@@nicholasstauffer5830stayed at a hotel in Houston and my view was the highway. It was a really ugly stretch too😔
My last hotel was a view of the restaurant next door. It was nice out so they had the main garage door style windows open and we could see everything. The band at 1am wasn't too fun though as we wanted to sleep. At least they stopped at 2am.
Don’t forget to make the all the rooms view from the window is another hotel room that you can get into through the window and make it so the windows don’t fully lock or close and a small smidge of the parking lot so you can see nature but not too much and there’s basically no natural light and see stuff stolen from you
That's so you can see your catalytic converter being stolen
Disconnect the fan in the bathroom, and make the doors misaligned so you are constantly running into them.
“PERFECT!”❤😂
At the hotel I worked at there weren't even any vents, they were purely for show.
Don't forget to make the door hinges on the wrong side so you can hit someone with the door ❤😂
@@stevy2 I knew it!!!
And you have to make sure the door to the room and the door to the hotel open into each other and to have a random mirror on the floor for zero purpose!!!
And the bathroom door has to be REALLY hard to lock. Oh and the bathroom mirror??? Make it really high up so you’re struggling to see into it. Perfect.
You forgot the lamp with the hidden switch and how all the designers manage to communicate to each other that none of the lamp turn on the same 😂😂😂
Like finding a nipple on a platypus
@@funnyanimalshorts643Oh! 😦
This is soooooooooo trueeeeeeeeeeeeeee
That partially exposed/covered outlet is just the perfect "I accidentally broke the crappy furniture when I moved it" trap that hotels just do to make me pay more.
Walked into a Caribbean resort bathroom. Literally touched the edge of the round magnifying mirror frame on the way by, and the glass slid out and smashed. Spent the week refusing to pay $50 for a $20 Walmart mirror, especially considering what we were paying for the room.
Shaggy went evil after losing Scooby.
underrated
Someone else saw it, glad I’m not the only one 😂
THE VILLAIN ARC
30yo Shaggy knew dogs have a shorter lifespam, but still could not handle when Scooby died of old age
😂😂
Also make sure the Light Switches are weirdly hard to find or so that the only light is from lamps in the room
Yup, that's the hotel I work at. Had an older couple ask me if they could switch out the lightbulbs in our lamps because they brought their own brighter ones.
Lol! It's funny because it's true
@@carmeltabby now that is priceless XD
Half of them do absolutely nothing.
@@Thelongmanable exactly 💀
I love how they finally decided to put USB-A ports on everything exactly when it all switched to USB-C.
That's because they are cheap and can get USB-A ports for fractions of pennies now
but USB c connects to a usb a still, same with micro b. sorry I had to be "that guy"
@@CyberCripX Only if the cord you have has a usb A at the other end.. the cord I got with my phone has usb c at both ends.. so yeah, be sorry to be that guy 🤣
They forgot to implement extremely tucked blankets
But that's the only thing I look forward to!
Accurate asf hotels be tripping with that phone charger bs
Edit: apologize I did mean charger
Character?
@@BarcaFan1899charger
@@BarcaFan1899think he meant charger
they think we're late 1980s japanese car executives that carry phones in our briefcases or something wtf
As a general rule of thumb, never use random USB ports. It can be a security hazard as those USB ports could be set up to monitor information on your phone or download something malicious without you knowing.
Most modern phones do have some protections in place but generally, use your own power brick or USB device when you can
Can't forget popcorn ceiling, odd stains, and an ironing board in the closet
Ok, but, bro, I need that ironing board. Where else am I going to iron?
@@IMAComedyThe mattress, to get rid of the bedbugs
Popcorn ceiling! Someone is either in construction or works with asbestos 🥰
@@IMAComedy I've had ironing boards with no pad.
Ironing board is genuinely good to have for people on business trips.
Closing the coffee maker lid a second time was just *chef's kiss*
Don’t forget the no matter what light switch you operate there will always be one light that stays on.
Charlie gives off the vibe of a professional hotel stayer
He is a comedian, so I assume he stays in them constantly.
Charlie looks like shaggy
@@amys2447my thoughts exactly.
I'm on the road >100 days a year, i can confirm they are accurate on most counts.
My biggest pet peeve is housekeeping yelling down the hall at their coworkers or yapping on speakerphone while "working." My schedule changes so I'm often trying to sleep during the day.
As someone who stays in hotels often this is fairly accurate but they forgot the wall ac that doesn’t actually do anything
Why he looking like Shaggy from Scooby Doo? 😂😂😂
I went straight to looking for this comment
I thought the exact same thing!
Literally two seconds in paused to go comment about this. Shaggy is that you????

Grow up 👍🏻
You forgot the hockey team staying there for a tournament messing around in the halls at midnight 😂
Oh man, for sure.😮😂
It's seasonal just like the sports... For me it was baseball
ah memories (i have regrets)
Or the renovation crew ripping out old carpet in the hallway and laying down new carpeting with new trim at 6 a.m. on a Sunday.
I was in Philly during a volleyball tournament, whole floor was a bunch of high school girls from across the nation, and at night(after the games) they’ll have very loud arguments in the hallways.
Upchuck elegent is my new favorite way to discribe carpet
Have to hide stains cause they only have 6 min to vaccume
LOL.
Also, perfect number of likes.
I carry binder clips for the curtains, works great. But I travel for work, been doing so since 2008.
Best tip I have, when arriving, park, walk in, get room sorted out, go up to room scope out smell, cleanliness, towels, etc. THEN if good, go get your bag, ask for more towels on way back in if needed.
Also: I always take a extension lead with multiple sockets. Great when traveling outside of my own country, since you will only need ONE adapter plug and have the right number of sockets where you need them!
the pants hangars work perfectly for the curtains
Hotel rooms are so ethereal. Everything is just a little off, but it still feels right at home. It’s like living in your quaint little house happily but every time you look out the window you see an endless abyss.
“Upchuck elegant” got me 😂
her facial expressions and belly button got me.
Lets make the walls extra thin so you can hear your neighbors tv on full blast 🤣
Hotel tvs have the speakers at the back, so in order to hear them at normal levels in your room, it must sound like you're holding a rock concert to people next door
I was up ALL NIGHT. Flashbacks.
if its only the tv...
As a 200 night a week traveler...bed bumping at 3am is the norm.
And all of your neighbors in general
Did...did I just see the Fuji water bottle boomerang into the bathroom? That was amazing...
One of the Best Shorts Ever❣️❣️❣️😅😂
(I always used the detachable part of the clothes hanger with the clips in the curtains!)
And confusing light switches that maybe control a lamp across the room. Or nothing. It's a fun game to figure out how to turn lights on or off.
And how inexplicable the hot water tap is freezing cold and the cold water is always piss warm.
@johnjuhasz9125 the water heaters for the upper floors haveto pipe it all the way over and up from where the utility dungeon is
Gosh, this reminds me of that hotel I had to stay in for my cousin's wedding. For some weird fcking reason the switches turned off different fcking lights according to the order of the switches you turned. There are three switches, I found out after turning off all three, there is still ONE light that is on. I switched it a few times and DIFFERENT lights turned off every time. I was like "What kind of Witchery is this?!"
@@johnjuhasz9125 And once you figure that out, both taps suddenly become ice cold 😂
No, put them on a timer so they turn off every minute and you can't choose when to stop them

First and only thing I thought of when seeing the shirt, has to be intentional tbh
That trick shot was straight fire, had me shook for real.
The employees on the hidden cameras watching them do this video: 👁️👄👁️
as a hotel worker this is so accurate especially the carpet 😭
Migraines make me one of the reasons for that carpet. (Sorry.)
It's not a bug. It's a feature. Also, it's made of bugs.
No kitschy pictures on the wall though.
@@frankupton5821 oh yes definitely but the carpet is worse
The giant wedge of tile that you get to trip over every time you walk over the threshold of the bathroom is always an added touch of elegance.

The half cover electrical outlet had me 💀 so true.
This is a fantastic skit!!!! A true depiction of hotel rooms.
And the pillows that are either flat as a pancake or round like a beach ball. 🫤
The cheap one you have to double stack are the worst!
Or disgusting feathers 🪶 that make my eyeballs swell
I used to work in a hotel, and oddly enought this is very accurate, but also there should be a random bucket there for the ice machine and sometimes with a little baggy in it.
Exactly but make sure the ice machine is broken on every other floor
Don't forget to put dead bugs in the ice machine. Lot and lots of dead bugs.
My favorite is an ice bucket but they took the ice machine out 5 years ago.
That people accidentally use as a mini trash can sometimes? No, just me? Ok
@@kilgore_trout_37 or very hard to find
No truer words ever spoken!!
Beautiful co-star!!
Soooo true. Only thing missing is placing the light switches diagonally across the room from the lights they activate and have another switch on the cable to ensure you have to walk and forth at least twice before having a little light near the cupboard. And of course there will be two lights near the bed, a bedside lamp you activate from the entrance door and a reading light on a bendy stick you can use to interrogate people or for home dentistry.
Made me laugh more than the video😂

The rattling is so true, what is UP with that
Put the coffee maker in the bathroom.
That’s the luxury bitchen.

And make sure to always book rooms next to each other so that the guest don't feel alone when they're trying to sleep at night.
I worked front desk in my younger days - I'd manually put the guest in random places to avoid this. The computer always wanted to put everyone sequentially, even on empty days. I may be the only person to ever do this, because like you said, yuck. Plus, I'd always wonder how they level the housekeepers if everyone is clustered in one area.
Especially when there are only 3 rooms booked in the entire hotel that night. And do the ones nearest the road, because intermittent white noise of traffic helps.
I’m surprised, because I don’t think I’ve literally ever heard someone from an adjacent hotel room.
"Landlines, they're coming back!"😂😂😂😂😂
This guy is fucking perfect for this. Loved it I can see the emotion in your performance ❤😂
"We'll say it's for the environment" has really been the go-to excuse lately 😂
Every company these days be like:
“We’re doing this thing that’s significantly cheaper for us and worse for the customer because it’s negligibly better for the customer”
“Also we’re proud to announce we’re adding an AI chatbot that uses more energy than a small country to our website for no reason”
😂 well said
Hotels pick those crazy colors and patterns so it’s harder to see stains.
They're a popular host for board game conventions. Those carpets are perfect for camouflaging fallen bits so you'll never find them again.
And then they choose BLINDING WHITE bed linens?
shaggy really went off the deep end after scoob passed...
"Full access to the phone jack" got me
Didn't know Shaggy from Scooby-Doo worked at a hotel
As someone who travels for a living, I hate how accurate this is 😂
This video is so funny / hilarious 🤣🤣🤣! Every time, I go to a hotel, I always get a view of the parking lot! The curtains never fully closed in the hotel 😂😂😂! Yeah, the AC unit wake us up at 3 a.m. in the morning 😂😂😂! 😂😂😂
Hahaha the back and forth is amazing
Literally saw the “environmental commitment” placard in my hotel room today and thought - they just don’t want to pay housekeeping to change the towels out!
It's more "they don't want to give laundry more to do then absolutely necessary". Housekeepers get paid whether they change the towels or not. What's the point in washing a towel you used once?
But remember, "It's for the ENVIRONMENT"😉
exactly!
I never understood fresh towels every day in a hotel, what are yall doing at home???? I know yall aren't running fresh towels everyday there 😅
109%
You forgot the bathroom door that will smack against your legs if someone opens it while you're on the toilet.
How do you know what that's like
The bathroom door that's also super heavy and possibly bulletproof
Or only only a foot because it hits the toilet... I know from experience.
@Nascar_fan_madness my husband traveled for work for a while, so him, our 3 daughters, and myself stayed in a lot of hotels.
Um, if you are sharing a room, why are you not locking the bathroom door?
This is truly amazing!
the plug next to the headboard, always a classic.
"Make it 3 am". Diabolical 😂
Ill admit theres something very nostalgic about seeing the sun rise through the hotel room’s curtains. That brief panic of “wait where am i?” Then the very specific texture of the sheets, and the smell. Memories…
OMG, yes. It's like a real-life liminal horror video.
Until you realize the smell and texture you're feeling is bedbugs
@@Fubbel42 you do realize less than a fraction of a percent of hotels have them? Oh wait, you're an idiot.

Yes. And to wake u to see sunrise (parking lot light next to window) through curtains that don't fully shut, lol😅
My last stay I had to wedge a wooden hanger against the AC grill, back the ottoman against that and the small table for weight to stop the rattling. Have to maintain the air flow hence the hanger gives the room for air flow.
Don't forget the shower with a million nozzles and handles that no one knows how to use

'microplastic blend' lmao
After just reading a long article on ways to ingest less microplastic 😭
Don't forget the keycards that stop working.
You have three keywords for your room. Only one can open the door. If you activate another card, then the system will deactivate the other two.
I haven't been in a hotel room in forever to know how accurate this is
You had me at 'upchuck elegant' 😂
Some tip for water: bring an empty bottle to the hotel gym. There's usually good filtered water there.
Literally where we housekeepers go to refill our water bottles.
Thanks for the tip!
If you're really patient there's the ice dispenser. Just wait for it to melt.
Or bring a bottle of Fiji water from home and leave it in the hotel room. Maybe they give you a $12 refund. hehehe

I worked at at hotel for 7 years. They purposely turned the air conditioning off in the halls the save money... So when you left your room it was like a sauna.
I served 14 years in hotels.
We were a bit more practical and closed the curtains of vacant rooms 80% in the summer and fully opened them in the winter.
But we did stop adding trash can liners to save money (not my choice). We would just dump them, spray them and wipe them down.probably wasted more money in labor and chemicals than we saved on plastic liners.
Hah! I did Engineering with a focus on heating/cooling. One of my professors said that in a hotel, they set the A/C to the cheapest setting, then crank it downwards until someone complains, and only THEN do they bump it up a notch!
@@samuelmellars7855 I think the saddest thing was when someone would complain they just gave them a rotation fan. Then proceeded to keep the cooling off.
@@layaegg7006 Oh for sure, that's no surprise. We given the example in class of even the fancy hotels would push to be as cheap to run as possible.
Same professor also mentioned how a _very_ fancy house was having an aircon problem, couldn't keep the house cool. The builder had cheaped out on the glass in the massive south-facing windows (but charged the client for the more expensive ones, of course) so the sun was blazing in far more than it should have!
