The Thoroton Society has published 'The Memoir of a Nottingham Lace Merchant' by W. Cripps which contains some details of the Bellaby Family so there may be a link between Bellaby and the Nottingham lace industry. There are also two publications listed by A.E. Bellaby in the Thoroton Society listings, but neither are family histories. One is a narrative biography entitled 'The Elusive Uncle Percy' (1991) and the other is called "The Dental Surgeons" (1992).There is also an indication that information about a Bellaby is contained in "Don't Be Late On Monday" by Mark Ashfield about work in a Nottingham lace factory, but I do not have a copy to check.
