    Nice cars! Can I ask if the manufacturer warranty is still in tact?
    More specifically, if a M140i was to just have the Remus exhaust system fitted would that bring up any problems with regards to having any warranty work or servicing done at my local dealer (Swansea)?
    Thanks in advance!

    Such a shame BMW can't supply their cars like this, they are supposed to be the ultimate drivers cars yet embarrassingly they are more concerned with making front wheel drive eco cars. BMW you need to take note of this and get back to what your supposed to be doing.

    • @trlbmw5485
      @trlbmw5485  Před 6 lety

      No changes to the engine. the exhaust helps the turbo spin up quicker and remus quote that every 1kg saved is 1bhp in power to weight.

  • @djmocok
    @djmocok Před 6 lety +1

    Can I cruise through sitting police without attracting attention with this exhaust?

    • @trlbmw5485
      @trlbmw5485  Před 6 lety +1

      Yes buddy. The exhaust is hardly any louder when in comfort mode. Only in Sport mode does the valve open more. its very subtle when you need it to be.

  • @CoopersSpecC

    Will BMW still cover this under warranty?

    • @trlbmw5485
      @trlbmw5485  Před 6 lety +1

      always a grey area. BMW cannot guarantee parts not supplied by themselves. So Motech guarantee the parts they fit. We have purposely chosen proven products that should not cause issues. An exhaust is the end of the chain. There is no engine meddling here. We fit Eibach Springs, a company with integrity and the replacement parts are all far superior to the ones removed. these are all proven products and we cannot see how they would interfere with the warranty.

      TRL BMW This has put me off. I live in Newcastle so if I had any issues and couldn't drive the car for almost 4 hours I'd be fu..ed. I would only be interested if BMW approved these mods unfortunately.

    • @markrhoden68
      @markrhoden68 Před 5 lety

      @@image1237 I believe you've answered my questions.
      Nice but not if you wish to ever use the BMW warranty because I'm sure everyone here knows that dealers will use any excuse not to honour the warranty.
      I guess if your out off warranty these would be great

    • @Benzz90
      @Benzz90 Před 5 lety

      Not necessarily.. it depends if you’ve been silly and changed the turbo and forced power down which has caused a linked issue - That’s 100% not covered.
      I’ve had a stage 3 Fiesta mk7 ST, Stage 2 Focus RS mk3 both completely modified in terms of suspension, anti roll bars and engine where they have honoured countless warranty claims
      You just need a normal dealer and don’t try to claim on things that are clearly going to be compromised by the mods you do.
      An exhaust and induction kit if by a reputable brand, same with the springs will not be an issue with a majority of dealers, if worried do things which are reversible, keep the original parts and be prepared to pay a little labour for your warranty claims... small price to pay :)

    I just can’t take the 1 series seriously 🤷🏼‍♂️ just looks chav and cheap. If you HAVE too, go for the 5 door not the 3. However I’d take an S3 Sportback.
