If my DME is locked and I still try to flash map bootmod, can I end up bricking my DME?
It is very likely to happen. However there are methods to recover if it happens, contact us for more information.
We strongly advise not to flash your vehicle if you haven’t bench unlocked DME and require it to be done.
Will it void my warranty if i put it back into the stock tune after
Hey buddy, warranty is void from the moment you flash your DME. BMW have a system to check how many times DME has been flashed. Many people will buy new DME and clone their existing one so they can tune the cloned one and put stock DME back in when going for warranty.
How did you stay online on wifi after pluggin in the enet cable? Im having issues whete im connected online via wifi and while im connecting the enet it registered as ethernet port which it is and so therefore closes the wireless connection on my laptot. Cant be plugged both wifi and enthetnet cable so how do I do this ? Im stuck on this lol
Ethernet shouldn’t pick up the connection as internet so should still be ok. If problem persists maybe download maps first then flash car.
What happens if i bought the wrong version of bootmod for wrong car can i switch cars?
Most licence keys can be used on every vehicle with the same licence cost. Otherwise if it's unused then BM3 will refund
Recently took my 2020 supra for a recall and the reflashed my ECU. How can I check if it is still unlocked?
If the map has disappeared due to flash then the likelihood is the DME is locked again.
@@carcodesecure but the 2020 supra comes unlocked from factory, so flash should have locked it?
Can I check if my DME is locked without purchasing Bootmod3 license? MHD has that option, but I want to do it with Bootmod3.

You can plug laptop or phone into car and open bm3 app once you’ve taken ID you can send to ProTuning freaks and they will tell you for free.
