PIL, and the boys are simply flawless, John is an utter genius to keep these bangers coming out, even with the new "Welcome to Penge" off the End of the World Album coming in August 2023. I've been listening to them for over 30 years. Such talent, amazing.

"It came about because I became very interested in the war and I got very annoyed to discover that the true history of America was being pushed aside for a sense of self-righteousness to take its place. African Americans were definitely negated in that part of American history. I met a fella called Nelson Windbrush, who was a school teacher in Florida, and his great-grandfather was a black confederate soldier - a free man - who volunteered to join the confederate army. That's a black man's history within American history, yet it causes so many problems when you raise it in conversation. This song ties in with all that. It's very interesting." (John Lydon).

@@zaradragonia9863 I like the beat of it. Not everyone's cup of tea, there are plenty of others to choose from. I'm not a fan of lollypop opera and there are always 1 or 2 on the albums that I'm not fussed on but cos it's john I play them anyway, I have let them grow on me.

    Jackson stood 'cause he could
    'Cause he should looking good
To the woods and the stood, to the wood understood
Well here we are the unfar
As you are, here we are, here we are, here we are, here we are
Up to the woods as we should
Through the wood, secret would, secret should, secret would understood
    Through the wood
And as we march far as far
What last dark from my heart
Secrets could in the woods, through the woods
Jackson could understood they they are

Ready are, ready are, ready are
Well, [?] bullets are, soldiers are, horses are

@@williamdew7143 Judging men on one facet of their lives when that specific facet existed all over the world is anachronistic stupidity. The battle was drawn between one side who believed that they entered into the Union of their own free volition and therefore they could withdraw in the same way. The other side insisted that they stay and therein lay the conundrum. Chattel slavery was a pox on the history of humanity but only the West killed each other to eradicate it once and for all. Slavery still exists in some parts of the world and legally existed in many non-western countries far after the Civil War and into the 20th century. I’m sure you are as critical of the Eastern and African countries that continued the legacy of slavery well into the 20th century where your impeccable steed, that high horse called Morality, can actually be applied with merit, right? Or is it just the European’s that carry the burden of your perfect morality that didn’t even exist in 1863? One final point, if you are pro-abortion then you should realize that people in that day would consider that infanticide. Morality is a slippery fish.
