    Hello.
    Thank you for great review.
    I'm seriously considering Sabas headgear.
    Does the size of the bukle bothers you? It seems big in comprasion to Winning?
    What if you get upper cut, it looks like it could protrude into one throat ?
    Thank you.

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  Před 6 lety +1

      The bulk doesnt bother because its a trade off for nose protection, its about the same size as Winning.

    Great review! As far as impact absorption and protection, would you say the rival d3o headgear is better or worse? I saw that you did a review on that one too. I'm just debating which to buy

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  Před 4 lety +4

      It’s the same tbh. I don’t know if the d30 technology really works because when I take a punch to the head you feel the force of the punch the same regardless of what kind of padding it uses. I think padding/ shock absorption in headgears is a little misleading because whether it’s open face, cheek protector, face saver, the kinetic energy of a punch will transfer to your brain no matter what. I would prioritize comfort and visibility as the main aspects, or if you can’t afford to be touched in the nose, then a face saver. But the main thing with headgear has always been to prevent cuts and bruising, not so much to absorb shock or the force of the punch. That’s just my opinion having used several.

    • @Cloudfencer
      @Cloudfencer Před 4 lety

      @@csquaredboxing That's a valuable opinion. Thank you for that. I will take all that into account before making my final purchase. 👍

    Nice review. Ive been boxing for years and had a bunch of amateur fights. I just had surgery to repair my badly deviated septum. I can now breathe again but want to start sparring. I cant take any nose shots. After you adjusted the nose bar, has the bar touched your nose from any punches? Thanks

  • @viviancooper5900
    @viviancooper5900 Před 7 lety

    Hey, how would you compare this headgear, to the fg5000, that's if you've worn one and have experience with the winning fg5000. I'm looking to buy the sabas facesaver, but idk if I should just buy the winning instead. I feel like the sabas is almost exactly like the winning headgear, but slightly modified. It reminds me of the winning and Reyes put together. I have the money for either head gear, I want the sabas though, because it's price justified. Let me know what you think. I used to use grant and winning for everything. Now I just use Saba, I have some 10oz proseries gloves and the prime 16oz which is a little longer then your average 16 Oz but it is either as good as grant or better. Also, I have a small head for my size. I currently use the winning fg5000 and it's great, but I sold a week ago, which I regret. Now I'm trying to find another headgear. I have a ton of gear for sale, get back with me.

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  Před 7 lety

      Never have tried the fg5000 so I couldnt tell you unfortunately. The Sabas is a nice headgear for sure and I dont think youll be disappointed.

  • @williamcalderonbaldarrago2013

    Can you recommend a question to me, what color of the helmet is better to use white or black? Because they tell me that white can get dirty easier, with the opponent's glove if it is black or another color

    Hi , which facesaver headgear do you recommend to protect the head (mainly side and back): Sabas FS 2.0, UMA 81, R2C Deluxe Full Face GelTech Sparring Headgear 2.0, Ultimatum Boxing Gen3FaceBar Professional, TOP KING Head Guard "Pro" Training, TOPBOXER DRAGON, Cleto Reyes Redesigned Headgear, VENUM ELITE IRON HEADGEAR?

    • @csquaredboxing
      @csquaredboxing  Před 6 lety

      I dont have experience with all of those headgears you've mentioned, but from the ones I have tried, if you're specifying side and back protection, I'd say the R2C because it has the most padding to the back of the head and ears.

      You should purchase a Headgear based on head circumference, not by your height and weight. I have a big head which measures about 23.5” so I got a large. Measure your head then use the Headgear chart on their website to pick the correct size.
