I couldn't find any official weight on this headguard; by chance do you know what it weighs? Deciding between this, the UMA, and the Ultimatum. I noticed that the Sting tapers towards the chin which I liked. It appears like the body near the chin would tuck for shoulder rolls easier etc.; though it can't be that big a difference between the three. I was curious on the weight compared to those.

I would say the sting vision is a little better than the Reyes traditional pointed headguard I used to wear👊🏼👍🏼
Aluminium doesn’t reduce or absorb vibrations. Why they still use it? There are materials that reduce vibrations
Great vid and channel. If you say reshape, do you mean that you can bend it? I have a bigger nose and usually I have problems with headgears Like this here. In sparring my nose gets hit by the bar

I too ain’t got the smallest nose
This headguard has a ‘cage’ that can be pressed and manipulated to change to fit
So yes this can be bent to provide more room for your nose
I also have done a tremendous amount of work on my hands defence and head movement so that the face bar is not part of my defence 😆
Fit2Box thanks pal and sorry. I just rewatched the vid and you explain everything very well in the beginning. I had skipped those initial minutes unintentionally while I was watching the vid. I am going to buy the gear. I stopped fighting, but I still do a lot of sparring. Hence I am client facing in my daily job, I rather prefer to not have all those little red, blue and green spots in my face 😅

You know what, I might actually treat myself to some custom gloves and a headguard. Payday at the end of the month and birthday at start of next. 20% off is a decent saving. Prob looking at 14s as I'm naturally a welterweight but could cut down as far as lightweight if I wasn't so fond of food.
Edit: just checked UK website and evolution guard not up yet, just open face style at minute. I'll check back closer to end of month.

Hi mate I’ve got a fairly big nose. Would you recommend this head gear or the phenom fshg-250? And is there much of a difference in protection? I’ve found the sting head gear for £85 and the fshg is £170. Thanks and love your reviews

Firstly have you got a detached house or very understanding neighbors, the reason I say that is a speed ball is Avery loud piece of equipment for ‘home’ use
I had one in my garage and neighbors six houses up the road could hear me when I used it, I had to take it down👊🏼👍🏼
@@Fit2Box it's semi detached. I've read putting a bag of sand on top of the platform can reduce vibration?
poboxing 1 I live in a semi detached and I was really enjoying using the speedball but we had a barbecue and all the neighbours from up the street said what’s that noise at 7 o’clock every night😂
Even with the sand it still will be loud
If I was you I would get a floor to ceiling ball work on speed but much quieter
Be a shame for you to spend £200 use it a few days and then have to stop due to how loud it is👊🏼

I used the Reyes pointed bar headguard for many years and really liked it
But it was only really for angular faces and couldn’t be reshaped like this one
On balance I think I would pick the STING👊🏼👍🏼
